Story
We are seeking a loving home for our wonderful 4 yr.old male pure breed border collie, Alfie. Alfie is a bundle of joy and energy. He thrives on interaction and is always ready for a game of fetch or a playful romp with the neighborhood dogs and kids. His friendly personality makes him a delightful addition to any family. To ensure Alfie gets the exercise and playtime he needs, we recommend a home with a large fenced yard where he can run freely and safely. While he is well-trained in the house, he prefers not to be on a leash, so a spacious area where he can explore is essential. Please note that Alfie is not good with cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Alfie is perfect for active families who can match his energy levels and provide him with plenty of opportunities to play. While he plays wonderfully with neighbor kids, he has never lived with children before, so a gradual introduction would be beneficial. He is well trained, crate trained and is up to date on vaccinations.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. If interested in meeting Space please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org!

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Sterling - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Sterling, hey, hey all you fabulous folks out there, that's 'lil' ole me! I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I am very shy at first meet but given some time and patience, I start to come out of my shell and show my sweet loving nature. Me and my siblings were part of an accidental litter. We have not had much socialization and will need a family to introduce us to all the great things in this big ole world. I am that proverbial lump of clay to be molded with gentle hands and kind words into your bestest family member. I am still a baby yet at only 4 months and should probably be around the 50-60lb area when I get myself fully growed up. I am so looking forward to learning...everything! I would love to be your lil sidekick on ALL your adventures. Once I'm comfortable I do great with people even the smaller versions. I also do great with other pups but I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat. If introduced properly at my young age I should do OK with them too. I would probably do best with a mentor 'sibling' to help show me the ropes in being a great family member. I would probably also do best in a home where my person is there a lot to spend extra time with me. I am soooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness (and I know it's in here) on my new family so if you think I could be a perfect fit for your home and lifestyle please just stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org These adorable siblings include - Sterling, Hollywood, Dallas and Dakota

Not the easiest start, but I’ve still got a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I’m social, happy, and just loving life now that I’m in a foster home. At about 5 months old and 28 lbs, I’m expected to grow into a perfect medium-sized adventure buddy. I’m playful, curious, affectionate, and enthusiastic about everything. Whether it’s a walk in the park or snuggles on the couch, I’m all in. I get along great with people of all sizes and love playing with the other dogs here. I haven’t met any of those mysterious “cats” yet, but at my age, I could probably learn to be friends with one if introduced the right way. - Cute as a button - Adventurous and full of personality - A little sponge, soaking up all the love and learning - Ready to be your best friend and constant companion So if you’re looking for a fun, loyal, tail-waggin’ partner to share your life with, I just might be your girl.
