LUCY is one stunning floof. She's a 1 year old 27 pound (fully grown) mixed breed girl. Lucy is lively, friendly and fun. She's a Heinz 57-varieties type mixed breed girl. She has some herding tendencies and runs like a sighthound. Border Collie/Whippet? Plus 6 other breeds? We have no clue. We do know she's an active girl who loves to run and play. Plus she's a cheerful friendly dog who poses for photos like a supermodel. Lucy landed in a rural shelter because her family moved and left her behind to wander and fend for herself. Lucy is best suited to an active home with a physically-fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Lucy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Lucy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Well, we said that so many times to our "bottle baby fosters" they just didn't know what to do with us :) But they kept feeding us, waking up at all hours of the night and making sure we were fed and happy and loved..... SO, we are growing quickly and getting ready for our furever families!! Not the mama goes to the wayside when we meet you :D We are happy go lucky pups, Bear Bear is more sensitive than his sisters, he was the shyest pup but has come out of his shell, he is the one who will cuddle with you (until someone else wants to play). Sissies Lioness and Cheeta are spicy girls, loving and playful and Lioness likes to hang out behind things and then cry for help to get out.... or she cries because she is alone, OR she cries because no one has gotten her yet! Cheeta is more independent but will let you hold her and cuddle for about 10 min and then it is back to exploring and playing with her siblings :) As their foster moms, we love these little turds and pray they find the right homes for them.
