Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Meet Millie! She’s a four year old ball of energy who is very sweet, good with dogs/cats/kids, and house trained! Millie loves to go for runs and go hiking, we say she’s like a mountain goat haha Millie is always up for an adventure and would fit best with a family who enjoys the outdoors and exploring new places! It would also be great for her to have a backyard to run around in. Although she will try to steal your food, Millie would be the perfect addition to your family! Millie can be timid and skiddish at first, but she quickly warms up to people! She will need someone who is experienced with dogs who have anxiety and she may need your help correcting slight barking.

Molly is the sweetest girl-- very gentle and great with other dogs. It's humbling to see her sweet personality shining thru after such a horrific week leading up to her rescue.  She came into rescue after being in labor for over 36 hours.  None of her pups survived but we were in time to at least save sweet Molly. Xrays also showed buck shot from a previous injury. She is still working on potty traing, but does not need to be crated when home alone.  Fostered in Cincinnati   If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. We pulled this boy from Grant County before he was set to be euthanized.  He is a sweet boy, about 7 years old and 40 pounds.  Potty trained and good with kids, cats and dogs.  He knows several command, including sit, lay & give paw. I am such a good girl ;) Even my rescuers tell me that! I am not sure why I was left alone in a neighborhood, by myself, all alone ?? I deserved so much better, and I am here to say, "SIEZE THE DAY!!!" Because you just don't know if it is your BEST day ever, UNTIL you SIEZE it and DON'T LET GO!!! And seriously, here I am!! Living in a rescue with friends and love and food and safety :D I am now ready for the best family! You would get the best companion, EVER!! I am loyal, I am loving and I am smart AND I can wear a cute pair of pajamas too! So hurry up and adopt me, so that the rescue peeps can find another dog to rescue after I leave :D Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
