Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Meet Millie! She’s a four year old ball of energy who is very sweet, good with dogs/cats/kids, and house trained! Millie loves to go for runs and go hiking, we say she’s like a mountain goat haha Millie is always up for an adventure and would fit best with a family who enjoys the outdoors and exploring new places! It would also be great for her to have a backyard to run around in. Although she will try to steal your food, Millie would be the perfect addition to your family! Millie can be timid and skiddish at first, but she quickly warms up to people! She will need someone who is experienced with dogs who have anxiety and she may need your help correcting slight barking.

We pulled this boy from Grant County before he was set to be euthanized.  He is a sweet boy, about 7 years old and 40 pounds.  Potty trained and good with kids, cats and dogs.  He knows several command, including sit, lay & give paw. Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... I am cute, a little chunky and a little silly at times. But i am SERIOUSLY looking for that home. So if you like a chonky diva, I am yours!!! Peep is one of those dogs that will give you constant joy with the amount of energy she has. We believe she is a border collie mix with beautiful liver coloring at 8 months old. She is still a puppy but very trainable. She already walks well on a leash. She loves every dog she meets and would really love a playmate that could match her energy.
