Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Meet Millie! She’s a four year old ball of energy who is very sweet, good with dogs/cats/kids, and house trained! Millie loves to go for runs and go hiking, we say she’s like a mountain goat haha Millie is always up for an adventure and would fit best with a family who enjoys the outdoors and exploring new places! It would also be great for her to have a backyard to run around in. Although she will try to steal your food, Millie would be the perfect addition to your family! Millie can be timid and skiddish at first, but she quickly warms up to people! She will need someone who is experienced with dogs who have anxiety and she may need your help correcting slight barking.

Molly is the sweetest girl-- very gentle and great with other dogs. It's humbling to see her sweet personality shining thru after such a horrific week leading up to her rescue.  She came into rescue after being in labor for over 36 hours.  None of her pups survived but we were in time to at least save sweet Molly. Xrays also showed buck shot from a previous injury. She is still working on potty traing, but does not need to be crated when home alone.  Fostered in Cincinnati   If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... I am cute, a little chunky and a little silly at times. But i am SERIOUSLY looking for that home. So if you like a chonky diva, I am yours!!! Chiri-Chiri has landed safely at SAAP!   She arrived at her foster home and we discovered she LOVES her new name, launching herself at people for kisses/cuddles/pets, and touching people while relaxing.    She can be a bit of a nervous nelly outdoors. We chose her because the shelter said she was terrified there. Chiri-Chiri has been a ball of gratitude since arriving!   Here are her details: * Herding breed mix (maybe with flying squirrel ) * 9 months estimated age * 26 pounds * Good with dogs, but can be hesitant at meeting, she co-exists and avoids play until she knows them * Met our cat with no issues * LOVES our kids, but could be too much for small kids * Requires a slip lead or martingale collar as she is unused to leash walking and tries to back out of the collar * Not quite housetrained (2 pees outside followed by 1 inside right by the door as we were preparing to let her out - only outside so far). Keeps her crate clean! * Learning the crate, but not a fan of going into it * Had a number of scabs and some missing hair, likely from a previous flea infestation that has been resolved. Hair is expected to make a full return!December 1, 2025, 9:07 am
