Story
This handsome blue eyed Border Collie is called Hitch.  A devoted dog that loves to go for runs with his human (trained to run in front and answer to voice commands) and can run long distances too.  He is 6 years old but you would never know it.  He is the best dog ever.  Crate trained and housebroken and neutered with all updated shots and HW negative.  He is great with other dogs and most every cat he meets.  He is a dog that really doesn’t enjoy the company and activity of really young children.  They make him nervous. He loves to go for rides in the car with his person.  He is seeking a quiet home away from the busy road and all of the cars, buses, motorcycles, etc. that make him anxious. None of these vehicles bother him when he runs since he is “working.”  The best home for him would be an active family who lives out on land and he can run and play.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 15, 2025, 9:23 pm

Story
Meet Mimi – The Sweetheart with Spots and a Heart Full of Love! Born around Christmas time, Mimi is a 4-month-old, 18-pound bundle of Border Collie/Heeler joy who’s ready to jingle all the way into your heart! Raised on a peaceful farm in Middle Tennessee with her gorgeous momma and siblings, this little beauty has had the best puppyhood a girl could ask for—rolling in the grass, keeping watch over chickens, and observing cows and horses like a true farmhand-in-training. Mimi is packed with personality and sweetness. She adores playtime with dogs, cats, and kids—and when it’s time to wind down, she’ll happily melt into a cuddle puddle right at your feet. Say her name, give her a kind word or a gentle pat, and watch her eyes light up like it’s Christmas morning all over again. We expect Mimi to grow into a lovely medium-sized gal (about 40-45 pounds), making her the perfect size for adventure AND snuggles. Got chickens? Mimi is a certified feathered-friend protector! If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving pup to grow up with your family—or just to be your new best friend—Mimi is your girl!  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to make her part of your family! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2025, 9:41 pm

Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie and she is a Border Collie mix  from what we can tell due to her size, temperament and the very silky soft fur that adorns her.  This girl is about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds and is such a spunky and active girl that is happy, charming, and ready for any adventure that you want to ask her to join you in.  Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of  neglect.   Our girl Kenzie is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Her persona is one of vibrance in life and resilience, topped with confidence.  She adores other dogs, young children and never meets an adult stranger.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold, happy and full of smiles and energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good love to others and good love will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at Critter Cavalry Rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. Our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a home with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is located in Nashville, TN and able to transport on a weekend to the northeast to a new family. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 1, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Gypsy is a gentle, loving dog with a big heart. I rescued her as a puppy, and she’s grown into an intelligent, well-behaved companion who thrives in a peaceful, predictable environment. She’s incredibly easygoing—low energy, content to lounge around the house, and doesn’t need a lot of exercise or stimulation to be happy. She’s fully house-trained, obedient, and gets along well with most other dogs after a brief adjustment period. Gypsy has no health issues and is not destructive or clingy—she’s perfectly fine being home alone and does not suffer from separation anxiety. That said, Gypsy can be shy and nervous around new people, especially children. When she seems particularly stressed in social situations, she takes anxiety meds—but she doesn't need it regularly. She would thrive with someone who leads a peaceful life—perhaps an older adult or someone who works full-time and wants a loving, low-key companion.

Story
Looking for a foster or forever home: Meet Luca! Hi! My name is Luca, and I’m looking for a perfect home. I am an energetic boy who loves long walks and playtime - I need plenty of exercise since l’m a herding dog and still young. I get along with other dogs, but can display some resource guarding behavior and could benefit from desensitization training. I know how to sit and I’m fully potty trained! I can get a bit barky when I see people/pets right outside of the window. I’d thrive in a quieter neighborhood or a home with a big yard, but I’m flexible as long as I’m loved. My favorite thing in the world? Putting both my paws on your shoulders to give you the best kisses. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion, l’d love to meet you!
