Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13576Hi! My name is Sparkle of The Farkles litter and I just arrived from Alabama in search of a home of my own. I’m guessed to be an Australian Shepherd mix born around 1/7/24. I currently weigh about 10 pounds so I should be in the 30-40 lb range when full grown.I’m a sweet girl and LOVE to snuggle with my foster mom. She says I have the cutest little wiggly butt and my ears look like they have bronze highlights! I'm microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives and will be ready to go home with my new adopters.I'm searching for…- Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until I am older. The older I am, the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble.- I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. - I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! Please note that because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.

Story
This is Oso, but we call him Ozzie, we have been fostering him for 7 months for my mom but seems she won't be able to keep him long term. He has started getting into fights with our dog Rico that we break up, with no real injuries. We have 2 toddlers so we really need to help him find his forever home to someone who has time & experience with dogs but doesn't currently have one. He is 1 years old He is kind, loyal, and good with kids and humans. He is good with other dogs too for the most part but can get dominant. He is up to date with vaccines. He is NOT neutered He is loving - needs attention and cuddles! He is cautious at first with dogs and humans. He has never bitten a human He had gotten into a couple fights with our 3 year old husky Rico over food, bones and jealousy. He needs attention, toys and exercise! Please let me know if anyone is interested in this guy. He would thrive with someone who wants companionship and has a big backyard. Thank you!

Story
Remy was born in Arkansas in July 2018. We have had her since pup. She is very well behaved and house trained. Unfortunately, she is the responsibility of children who refuse to provide her the care needed causing her to relieve herself indoors. I can no longer bear the stress of caring for her and cleaning up the house when the children neglect to take her. Remy is up to date on all of shots and immunizations. She is a bit overweight for her size for lack of exercise and the vet said her thyroid was an issue. She has been prescribed a medication which we have but she has not taken it in months and the last visit her levels were normal.

Story
Meet Rocket! Rocket is a a mini Australian shep mix. She and her sister came from a family with 30 dogs, and she survived Parvo. Dad is a 35 lbs fluffball. Rocket weighs 28lbs and was born on 2/21/2023. She is petite and easy to manage. Rocket is a gentle and snuggly pup. While she is non-stop when playing, she also melts into your lap and will be cuddly quiet and innocent. Her favorite place is snuggled up behind her foster dad's head on the couch. A fenced yard would be perfect; Rocket loves being outside and each butterfly gets the attention it deserves! She adores other dogs, and she is a little timid meeting new people. When she meets strangers, she either barks, or becomes quiet and hides in a corner. Once you are in her inner circle, there is love and kisses to no end. Her true self shows after she builds trust. She bonds well to her people. Rocket is that expert snuggler that keeps your lap warm and is a playmate to all the newbies and puppies. Rocket's got house-training down and learned the doggie door. Leash walking requires the strength of a wrestling champion, but Rocket does love her walks! If interested in adopting, please fill out our no obligation online application at www.puppypawsrescue.org If you're not ready to adopt but would like to learn about fostering, please send us a message to get started. We are always looking for fosters! Note: Our rescue requires that all adopter's current and prior animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (DHLPP & Rabies) and preventatives (heartworm and flea and tick), unless there is a medical reason not allowing it. All animals in your household should be spayed or neutered unless medically indicated that they should not be or are currently still too young.

Story
Anabelle came from a hoarding situation (as did Angel and Gillian) and it is pretty amazing that these dogs survived. Anabelle is a very quiet and gentle dog and very well-mannered. Her foster mom tells us that 'she is a good girl and trying to get the hang of being a dog! She loves her slow but steady walks and loves pets. And she also likes to follow us around the house!' Given the horrible situation she came from Annabelle must be so happy to be able to move around and explore and most of all be loved and cared for. She is about 35 to 40 pounds (the picture makes her look bigger). If you are interested in Annabelle please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Annabelle! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17075 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Annabelle, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.
