We think he might be more of a Unicorn. After all, he's a laid back border collie who does not need a job. Nope. He's happy to chill --and play if you're interested. He's no chicken, just a very dignified 3 year old who seems to love humans of all sizes, including the teacup variety. He'll take a treat every so gently from your hand and calmly lead you on his leash whereever he wants to go. He gets along fine with other calm, well-mannered dogs, but does not suffer hyperactive canine fools gladly. He'll signal his disdain with a low growl that might turn into a firm bark for dogs who can't take a hint.
If you're looking for some extra love in your life, look no further, charming Chicken has got it covered! He is looking for someone who will be there for him and love him always. Not a lot to ask for all the unconditional love you’ll get in return. Fill out an application today, and give Chicken the chance to have the forever home of his dreams!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
