Looking for a very energetic young girl? Do you have time to train me some dog manners? If so, I am the dog for you! I am an energetic girl, who loves to play, run, jump, and all the things a pup likes to do. Sadly, when I arrived at the shelter as a stray, the staff knew I was an adorable pup, but I never had any training. So I will need someone to help me learn the proper manners of a dog. The staff has resources available that they can share with you.Now to brag. I may have a lot to learn, but the staff has let me be the dog of the week! This means I got to spend time up in a suite by the front lobby, and when visitors stop in, they can come and great me and give me treats! Yummmmmmy! Not all dogs get this opportunity to be in the suite during the day. The staff trusts me to stay in the room and be kind and courteous those who stop in to say hello.Please give the shelter a call and make an appointment to come see me!

Approx. DOB: 4/28/24 Current Weight(as of 7/18/24): 13.7 Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Willa Mae is a jewel. She is so much fun! She gets along with all her foster siblings. She would love a dog to play with in her forever home, but I'm sure she would like being the center of attention as well. She is so loving and playful. She is still a puppy. She likes to jump, chew, and get into things she shouldn't, but is learning the word no. She is housetrained. She goes in and out of the doggie door like a champ! She sleeps all night in bed with her foster parents and will let us know if she needs to go potty. Willa will need a fenced in yard. Puppies should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes.
