Mozart appears to be a pure bred Border Collie, and needs a new home because her owner had to move to assisted living.  She is a spayed female around 6 years old and about 40 pounds, who does need occasional brushing to keep her coat looking good.  Mozart is very calm and laid back for a Border Collie, and loves to play with her dog friend Moxie, the long haired Dachshund and Miniature Schnauzer mix.  We would love for them to be adopted together, but they can go separately.  You can see the two of them together in two of the pictures,  We refer to them as Big Floof and Little Floof.  They are currently in foster care, so you can call or text Tia at 563-495-8141 to arrange a time to meet them.September 4, 2024, 3:00 pm

We got Gracie in 2020, shes a sweet dog. Loves people and hanging out with them. She is house trained but needs some work on it still. She wants to be in peoples laps all the time and spend time cuddling. She does not get along with cats and she does not like fireworks. She loves being outside and hunting. We love her so much but I got a new job and unfortunately cannot spend enough time with her anymore.

Cleo is a 1 year old mixed breed dog that weighs 50 pounds. Cleo is spayed, up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, microchipped, house broken and kennel trained. As a youngster, Cleo did not have any age appropriate training so she has some catching up to do. Cleo is anxious to learn new things. In her new foster home, Cleo is working on her basic commands, leash walking and her manners. As a young dog, Cleo still needs practice on learning to not jump up. For that reason, Cleo will need a home with older kids. Cleo loves to play fetch and is a high energy girl that will need a fenced yard to play in. This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes.
