Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).

She is super smart, loves other dogs and kids, and is looking for a home with people who are familiar with or willing to learn about herding breed dogs. Blitz loves going on adventures and is a very good girl in the car! When her friend took her on a day out of the shelter, including to pick out a toy, Blitz had soooo much fun! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available.

Story
Oh my goodness, Beatrix. Cute much? It’s hard to believe she’s even cuter in person! Left behind when her previous people moved away, this approximately 1-year-old Border Collie mix is approximately 55 lbs. Her estimated DOB March 2025. She is doing beautifully in foster care, learning all the things a young dog should know. While she can be initially shy with new experiences, Border Collies are smart and Beatrix is no exception. This gal is something special. Her foster mom shared: • Beatrix is in training to work on manners and learns quickly. • She is very food motivated and eager to please. • She is nervous around strangers at first but warms up quickly. • Beatrix would do best with an active family (she loves walks) and a fenced yard. • She would also do best with another dog in the home. • Once comfortable, B is cuddly, affectionate, and loves staying by your side. Belly rubs are her favorite! • She loves her stuffies, too. • She is dog friendly and loves going to doggie daycare. • She is house trained and kennel trained. • We do not know how she is with cats. Beatrix is ready for her forever family, who will give her the love and guidance she deserves. If you’re good, she’ll even train you how to rub her belly just the way she likes. Are you ready to welcome fun and affection to your life? Start by completing and submitting an application for Beatrix. A volunteer will be in touch. https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application FOPAS is primarily run by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and are dedicated to our animals for their entire lives. As such, we screen all potential adopters and strive to match each adopter with the perfect fit for their lifestyle and activity level. All adopters must live within a 4 hour drive of Parkville, Missouri.

COURTESY LISTINGCOURTESY LISTINGPlease see below for contact information. Maizy is a sweet 3 1/2 year old Border Collie mix (approx. 50 lbs.) who is looking for a family that can keep up with her high energy.  She would do best in a home with no cats or small dogs.  Maizy is still working on manners so a home with children over the age of 12 years would be best.  Adoption fee: $200 Please email angelsleftbehind@yahoo.com or call Paula at 816-805-9367 if you interested in meeting Maizy. Story
Let Cami be the queen of your castle! She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved and we have no doubt that she will steal your heart. She enjoys peaceful activities with her people. (Check out her fishing adventure in Minnesota last winter!) It's going to take Cami a bit to trust and she'd appreciate a home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. While she can be picky about her canine friends, a super social dog might just do the trick. Of course, Cami would be perfectly satisfied being your one and only, too. Either way, she promises to love you to the moon and back! Cami's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest. She's quiet, doesn't get into things she shouldn't, and already knows to do her business outside. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Renee (renees@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Mango was rescued from a shelter after her stray hold. She had a family, who gave her away and then that family never came to pick her up. Mango is house and kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and is very curious to happenings in the neighborhood. Mango is well behaved in the house, spending time watching out the windows, and sleeps in a kennel through the night without a peep. She was aware of the fireworks in the neighborhood and barked at them the first few times but then slept through the rest. She does like to alert the human to people passing by and squirrels on the porch. Mango quickly quiets when the human thanks her for the alert.  Mango eagerly wants to meet all humans and canines.  After her initial excitement subsides she is a sweet, gentle, easy-going girl who loves car rides, being chased in the yard and sleeping in front of the air vent. She is also very smart and catching on to the new household routines quickly. We have her listed as special needs due to scar tissue in anterior chamber behind her cornea, likely due to an old trauma. At this time there is no recommended treatment. Her vision is impaired and could be blind in that eye. Her family would just need to be aware that she needs to be set up for success with her limited sight and know she is a bit head shy.  Approximate Birthdate:  Sept 2020 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Nigel is a Mini-Aussie/Papillon mix with a cute under bite and curled tail. He is around 4-5 years old and weighs 29 pounds. He is affectionate with a hidden streak of silliness. Because he is an Aussie he is reserved at first with new people and animals. But, once introduced he is very relaxed and comfortable. With his special person or persons he is very affectionate and loyal. He was raised  by a single owner in a loving  home with a cat. Until his human for health reasons  moved in with a daughter, Nigel lived a charmed life with his cat pal in the suburbs. Tearfully, his human surrendered him to his vet asking only that he find a loving family and home for Nigel. The vet contacted us  (The Animal Rescue Alliance).and we took him in as a foster. He was confused and for several days sat at the door waiting for his human. Gradually, Nigel adapted to his new home in a downtown loft. His trust grew for his foster human and foster brother, Cai, a boisterous Welsh Cardigan Corgi. Getting used to different people and dogs has been his biggest challenge. By nature, he is reserved and in  his suburban life he had limited social interaction with other people and dogs. Nigel is now a city fellow. He greets the neighbors in the vestibule and on the street with manners. Nigel enjoys going on walks with and without his foster brother.  City noises and the occasional squirrel do not  faze him.  Nigel enjoys walks to local coffee shops and sits at the foster’s feet people-watchong! If you want a gentle and devoted pal for life, Nigel is your boy. He lives for his peeps and his home. With his perfect manners and loving upbringing, Nigel is a companion par excellence. Let him get to know you, and you will have a canine friend forever.   Approximate Birthdate:   August 2021 Adoption Fee: $250 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
