Story
This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. Please fill out our online dog adoption application if you are interested in adopting this pet. Landry is 3 years old, 82 pounds, neutered, up to date on all necessary vetting.  Meet Landry! Landry is the biggest baby you'll ever meet. He is 82 pounds in the physical world, but his soul is 10 pounds. He is a lover and wants to be wherever his people are. Landry does well with people, though can be shy at first, as well as other dogs! No cats for this fella, though. Truly, this snuggle bug would love to be your new best friend. If he sounds like your kind of guy, apply to meet him!June 10, 2024, 2:26 pm

Story
Looking for a very energetic young girl? Do you have time to train me some dog manners? If so, I am the dog for you! I am an energetic girl, who loves to play, run, jump, and all the things a pup likes to do. Sadly, when I arrived at the shelter as a stray, the staff knew I was an adorable pup, but I never had any training. So I will need someone to help me learn the proper manners of a dog. The staff has resources available that they can share with you.Now to brag. I may have a lot to learn, but the staff has let me be the dog of the week! This means I got to spend time up in a suite by the front lobby, and when visitors stop in, they can come and great me and give me treats! Yummmmmmy! Not all dogs get this opportunity to be in the suite during the day. The staff trusts me to stay in the room and be kind and courteous those who stop in to say hello. Please give the shelter a call and make an appointment to come see me!

*** I have a video starring ME for you to watch! Click through my pictures&#44 and youandamp;#39;ll find it there! ***andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Hey hey! Luna here!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m a silly&#44 happy girl who loves playing with my favorite toy... BASKETBALLS. Ball is life&#44 am I right? I love to show off my fastest dribble&#44 but Iandamp;#39;ll settle for just about any toy to be honest. If youandamp;#39;re not looking to play&#44 I can show off my tricks too! I have an awesome andamp;quot;sit&#44andamp;quot; and Iandamp;#39;m super treat motivated&#44 so Iandamp;#39;m game to learn a bunch of other commands. My ideal family will be active and super cool&#44 just like me! Hopefully with older kids&#44 if you donandamp;#39;t mind. And I would love to be your only pet! With a dog as fun as me&#44 Iandamp;#39;ll be all the entertainment you need!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Now&#44 a little about my past...I was rescued by the HERO Team. I was partially an outdoor dog for most of my life&#44 and I didnandamp;#39;t have much. Due to living such a sad life&#44 I found it hard to share my toys and treats sometimes. After that&#44 I had an amazing adopter who showed me love and care for two years! I learned that life isnandamp;#39;t so scary&#44 and met so many kind people in their home. Unfortunately&#44 my previous adopter got sick&#44 and is unable to care for me now. But I remember just how much they loved me&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m doing a lot better now. I would love to form that bond with you&#44 and show you what a good dog Iandamp;#39;ve become.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;The past is the past&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m just excited about my future with you! Please come to the shelter to meet me - you wonandamp;#39;t regret it!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love&#44 andlt;br/andgt;Luna

Story
Cami is a fairly new member of The Pet Connection's team. She's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest as she already knows to do her business outside. She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved. It's going to take her a while to trust people and she'd appreciate a quiet home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. She also prefers to be your one and only pooch, if you don't mind. She promises to love you to the moon and back, though! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Colonel is a bit of a Velcro dog and needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him. He is a very good boy who still needs some obedience training. He is house trained and is able to be left to roam when nobody is home. Colonel's favorite things are his pork chews, his blue soccer ball, his foster brother dog, and people. He could play “soccer” with you for hours and would thrive with an athletic family that can keep up with him. He loves to cuddle and sleep in bed with you. Colonel does well with other dogs, cats, and chickens but would be best in a home with no older animals and no small children as he is still working on containing his energy and might be too much for them.
