Roy is ready to find a loving family who will appreciate him for the amazing dog that he is. Approximate Birthdate:  April 2019 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. Looking for a very energetic young girl? Do you have time to train me some dog manners? If so, I am the dog for you! I am an energetic girl, who loves to play, run, jump, and all the things a pup likes to do. Sadly, when I arrived at the shelter as a stray, the staff knew I was an adorable pup, but I never had any training. So I will need someone to help me learn the proper manners of a dog. The staff has resources available that they can share with you.Now to brag. I may have a lot to learn, but the staff has let me be the dog of the week! This means I got to spend time up in a suite by the front lobby, and when visitors stop in, they can come and great me and give me treats! Yummmmmmy! Not all dogs get this opportunity to be in the suite during the day. Abby girl has lost the only home she's ever known. Her mama went to assisted living and her dad could no longer care for her. We made a promise to them that we'd find their baby a new home. She was adopted as a puppy from a rescue in Oklahoma in 2016, which means she turns eight years old in 2024, March 2024, to be precise. Sweet girl has a lot of sugar on her face. Abby's still new to The Pet Connection and is adjusting to not having a home, but if you give her a just a bit to know you, you'll discover that Abby likes touch when she trusts you. She likes to play with her green rubber toy, too, and she gets loose and wiggly, and a little bit silly. She's a fan of hot dogs and chicken, and she likes to be fed said chicken while she lies on her bed like Roman royalty.
