Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).

Story
Oliver, our guest in board and train here at the Sanctuary, arrived just a few days ago. He's an adorable boy, and we're taking a few days to get to know him. Sadly, Oliver has gone through some traumatic events recently. His owner died suddenly and unexpectedly at a park with Oliver by his side; Oliver was left there and had to be retrieved later. Oliver was his owner’s whole world, and the family is now working with the Manhattan shelter to help find him an appropriate placement and new home. He is now with The Pet Connection, so he can decompress and get consistent handling. We know that Oliver is a sweet, gentle boy who loves his people. He enjoys taking walks and is reportedly good on leash. He would do best in a calm, adult home with no cats and no puppies. We also know that Oliver is part gazelle and can jump a short fence, so if your fence is only 4' tall, you'll need to walk him on leash for sure. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you can give Oliver the kind of home he needs. He'll reward you tenfold. He's staying in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home.

Story
Location -Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I already know some basic commands!- I’m a little shy—slow and steady wins the race with me.- My previous owner said that I am crate-trained.- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I need a home without other dogs - I prefer having your attention all to myself!- No apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! Other dogs, people, and noisy environments make me nervous!- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.

He is a "tri-pawed" puppy, due to an accident when he was a baby, but it doesn't slow him down. He loves to play with other dogs, and he is curious about cats, though he doesn't try to engage with them often. He loves squeaky toys and chew toys, and he loves to be where the action is (even if the "action" is sleeping). Marty is almost completely potty trained, but might still need supervision in that area because he is still very young. He may need some leash training, but he's a very smart boy, and will pick up desired behaviors quickly. He likes to be where his people are; he enjoys Thursday night television, food, and moonlit romps in the backyard. Story
Let Cami be the queen of your castle! She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved and we have no doubt that she will steal your heart. She enjoys peaceful activities with her people. (Check out her fishing adventure in Minnesota last winter!) It's going to take Cami a bit to trust and she'd appreciate a home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. While she can be picky about her canine friends, a super social dog might just do the trick. Of course, Cami would be perfectly satisfied being your one and only, too. Either way, she promises to love you to the moon and back! Cami's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest. She's quiet, doesn't get into things she shouldn't, and already knows to do her business outside. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy
