Nimbus was too rambunctious in his prior home and the family did not want to take him to obedience classes.  He is super smart and wants to please so a class would be great for him and his new family. Nimbus loves toys and can't figure out what is his toys or the young children in his last family.  This was another reason the family released him to us.  Nimbus can be taught good habits, he just needs a chance.       Nimbus can jump and climb chain link fences ,  so no fence and a active family that will take him on daily walks would work out great.  We think any wood or wrought iron gates would work.     I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Meet Finley! Fin is a 2 year old border collie mix. He has a LOT of energy, and would do best in an active home. He loves his walks, and playing. He's good with other large dogs. Due to his energy, he would do best in an adult only home. Finley needs a firm handler, someone who is patient and will use positive reinforcement to reward good behavior. He was never shown how to act as a puppy, and still has a lot of puppy tendencies. He is house and kennel trained, but lacks manners that he is working on. Boone needs a lot of space to burn energy he has had over 3k in training from a program in Kansas and will need continued work to learn those skills he was taught. he isn’t doing well with our older little dogs and keeping them apart all the time isn’t working out. He is a very smart boy at around 18 months old just needs someone with more time and ability health wise to work with him. He does good with my kids but is still a hyper pup so can get a little rambunctious. He loves being outside, but is a digger and squirrel chaser probably not a good farm dog as he may chase animals. He does okay with my larger dominate female basically just pesters her till she barks and puts him in his place but in her old age she is having a hard time. He could potentially be okay with other larger dogs and has been in a doggy daycare setting before. Key things to note is he is a digger, chewer and hyper but also has so much love to offer and is create trained.
