Story
Before several weeks ago, the inside of a house was like a foreign land to Willow Ivy. She didn’t know what household objects were, nor what it even meant to be inside with people. 🌎 🌎 Now, our pretty girl has experienced the good life, where she’s never too cold (or too hot), food and water are in plentiful supply, and the beds are oh-so-comfy. She has also finally imprinted with some people and is getting the hang of the idea that people are there to help her and support her. Welcome to the rest of your life, Willow Ivy! 🌎 🌎 Willow Ivy has also discovered that there’s an outdoor world beyond the confines of a pen. She loves to go on car rides and look out the window. And she totally enjoys walks along quiet neighborhood trails or parks. It has taken her a while to reach this point, and likely when she’s adopted, she’ll need time and space to arrive here again, with her furever people. What we know for sure is that she is smart and really darn sweet. She is desperate to please her people, as she balances that with learning that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place. Toys are new to her, but those squeaky ones and puzzles are pretty fun – and getting a treat from inside of a Kong is tasty and happy! She will need time, like possibly weeks, to warm up to the people in her life, but it will happen in a quiet home. She gets along with other dogs, but she still hasn’t consistently grasped how to handle her dog relationships alongside her people relationships. So, she would do best in a home with a very laid-back dog(s) who she won’t feel like she’s competing with. Or a life as an only dog would be just as well. 🐾❤️ Willow Ivy is 3 years old, and she’s a 30-pound Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is house trained and crate trained. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. Apply to adopt her, and bring your patience, and you’ll get to meet this little gem, by filling out the application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Riley was adopted locally in 2017. She had always been the sweetest pup that loves to constantly lean in close for unending pets. As our family has grown she has been there every step of the way, becoming our child’s best friend. Unfortunately, since moving into our current home Riley has suffered from allergies that have given her constant pain. She has also recently, according to a Vet, suffered an injury equivalent to an ACL tear in her back right leg. Lastly, due to a botched spay from when she was a puppy she now has trouble with urinating in our home. She is house trained but because of her age and inability to control her bladder she has frequent accidents in the home. The need to re-home Riley does not come easy but due to our current financial situation we cannot provide her with the care she needs and deserves. We are looking for someone to love her the same way we do and provide her with the proper care. We hope she can live her remaining years pain free and with love.

Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).

Story
🐾 George DOB: 6 weeks old Current weight: 6.4 lbs (3/01) Breed: Australian Shepherd/Spaniel mix (best guess) Estimated adult size: ~25–30 lbs George is one of the smaller boys in the group, but don’t let that fool you — he keeps up just fine. He has that softer, spaniel-style expression paired with alert, curious eyes that are always taking everything in. He’s playful, people-focused, and already showing that smart herding-dog curiosity. George enjoys exploring, following his humans around, and wrestling with his siblings. He’s the kind of pup who will bond closely with his family. As an Aussie mix, George will thrive in a home ready for structure, enrichment, and continued training. He’s young and still learning all the basics — potty routines, crate training, and leash skills. ✔️ Playful and observant ✔️ People-oriented ✔️ Medium energy puppy ✔️ Likely 25–30 lbs grown George is ready to grow up with a family who wants an active, engaged companion.

Story
Marley • 6 Years Old • 70 lbs Cattle Dog / Hound Mix (Best Guess) Meet Marley! Marley is a sweet, happy 6-year-old mixed breed girl who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s housebroken and making great progress with crate training — sleeping quietly in her crate at night, though she prefers to be out and about during the day. Marley currently lives with a large-breed canine companion and does wonderfully with other dogs. She loves spending time outdoors and will require a securely fenced yard to safely enjoy her favorite pastime. At around 70 pounds, Marley is a solid girl who could benefit from a little fitness routine — and she’s happy to work on that with her future family 😉 Marley is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. One thing she’s continuing to work on is her greeting manners. She gets very excited when her people come home and has a tendency to jump up out of pure joy. This behavior was allowed in her previous home, but she’s learning that all four paws belong on the floor — and she’s doing well with consistent, positive reinforcement. Her future family will want to continue reinforcing these good habits. Because of her size and enthusiasm, Marley would do best in a home with older children. If you’re looking for a loving, happy companion who’s eager to please and ready to keep learning, Marley may be your perfect match! Marley’s breed mix is a best guess based on appearance; her exact breed makeup is unknown. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Dale was adopted as an emotional support dog for a retired soldier with PTSD. Due to a move out of state, his owner was unable to take Dale with him. Dale is an incredibly loving dog who enjoys close companionship and cuddling. He often jumps up to sit on my lap or curls up at the end of my bed. He loves being outdoors and especially enjoys long walks, ideally in areas where he can be off-leash, though he does very well on a leash when required. He is kennel trained and goes to his kennel independently at bedtime with a simple verbal cue (“go to kennel”). Dale is well-mannered, affectionate, and eager to be with his people. While I would love to keep Dale, my busy schedule doesn’t allow me to give him the daily walks, playtime, and attention he deserves. He would thrive in a home with someone who has the time to walk him daily, play with him regularly, and enjoy his affectionate nature.
