🐱🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈🐱 Do you go crazy for a sharp dressed man? 🕴️🕴️ We got your dapper guy right here! 🤵‍♂️ Tux, short for Tuxedo 🤵‍♂️ is a 8-month-old boy who looks sophisticated. But underneath that drip outfit is a goofy, intelligent puppy who is discovering the real world for the very first time. We are guessing he is a Border Collie mix 👔 – but that is just a guess. He is on track to probably be around 70ish pounds full grown. Despite a sheltered start, Tux is very happy, friendly, cheerful, and wonderfully intelligent. He learns quickly, responds well to “no,” and pays close attention to his people. Tux has a sweet, thoughtful nature beneath his playful puppy energy. His favorite toys are balls ⚽️, bones 🦴, and sticks 🪾 so let’s go! Tux was rescued from death row at a rural shelter and is now discovering what “the good life” means. So much of the world is brand new to him — he had never seen a TV, vacuum cleaner, or lawn mower before coming into foster care, and he currently believes metal cat sculptures might really be alive! LOL. Tux is a striking young pup 🕶️ with a sleek black coat, white chest, adorable nose marking, and the kind of upright ears that have a personality all their own. Tux is dog friendly and would likely thrive with a confident canine sibling who could continue showing him how wonderful the real world is, though that’s not required. He is curious and wants to play with cats. He thinks it’s a game when they run, so he’ll chase them but isn’t aggressive. He’s energetic, eager to learn, and full of potential — he likely would do great with advanced training, like agility or specialty training. For now, he comes when he’s called, and he’s working on learning to sit on command. He has nice leash manners, and is steadily perfecting potty training. He is crate trained as well. Tux is looking for the family who will show him that home is the very best adventure of all. He is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. He’ll come to you current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $275. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Meet Bert 🖤🤍 Approx. 11 months old • 48 lbs • Border Collie / Labrador mix (best guess) Bert is the kind of dog who doesn’t show you everything right away—but give him a little time, and you’ll see what a good one he is. He can be a bit timid when meeting new people, but once he settles in, he’s all about quiet snuggles and playtime with his trusted humans. He’s currently living with other dogs and does great with medium to higher-energy playmates. He’s easygoing and respectful—he’ll even let his foster sibling take toys or treats from him without any fuss. Cats? No problem. Bert lives with them and mostly just ignores them (or naps nearby). He’s house trained, working on leash skills, and prefers not to be crated. He’ll do best with a home that can give him a little patience on the front end and let him build confidence at his own pace. Bert isn’t going to be the dog that runs up to every stranger—but he will be the one who bonds deeply with his people and becomes a really solid, loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle dog who just needs a minute to feel safe, Bert might be your guy. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $250 Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply to adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Olive aka "Olive Roo" because she resembles a Kangaroo is 4 years old and ~25lbs. Olive has a very chill temperament, gets along with other dogs, looks out for the children, likes to be outside to play and walk. She's very much a lady and gets embarrassed and turns her back when she uses the potty and she sees you cleaning it up. Olive likes to cuddle and loves extra treats in the evening before bed. In Olive's new home, she can be the only dog or a part of a pack of furry friends.

Story
☯️ Judy and Athena ☯️ are much like the eastern philosophical idea of yin and yang, the process of the universe: together there is harmony, yet they are each distinct forces. When you need to be in charge of things or get stuff done 📋🔨 Judy will be right by your side to keep everything and everyone in line 👩‍🏫 And when you’re ready to tone it down or relax,🍹✨ let Athena’s happy spirit be your guide to contentment. 🌻🌛 Judy, ☯️ a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix who weighs 52 pounds, can come off as bossy and a bit aloof, but she warms to people soon enough, and it turns out she loves attention and is affectionate. She’ll bark when she’s unsure about something, which seems to be her way of voicing a concern or asking a question. Athena, ☯️ a 6-year-old Pomsky (Pomeranian + Siberian Husky) who weighs 48 pounds, is a glass-half-full gal who sees the good in everyone instantly. She has a pleasant spark of energy that she brings to her home and people. The ladies follow basic commands well, like sit and leave it, and they do well on the leash. They’re happy to go on car rides or explore wherever you’re headed. At home, they like to play ball or chew on buffalo horns or antlers. They’re also great playmates with other dogs for any type of play. Judy barks when she plays; she must like telling everyone how much fun she’s having 😆 At night, they find their own spots to sleep in the living room. They are both crate trained and house trained. Athena and Judy would do best with a fenced yard. They are both spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, as well as current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Their adoption fee is $175 for both. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Cue the music 🎶🎵 …And introducing the Bluey Litter 💙💙 Bandit (M), Bingo (F), Bluey (F), Coco (F) and Snickers (F) are 2 months old, guessing Red Heeler mixes, who’ll likely be 40-50 pounds. They are in foster with their mama, Chili. 🩵 Bandit is the baby of the bunch and the only boy. This guy is always on the move, investigating. He has long, dense fur and loves to lay on the cold tile after playing with his sisters. 🩷 Bingo may be the smallest, but this beautiful girl is spicy! She takes on the group with the confidence of a giant. Bingo has both black and red spots, making her a gorgeous lover. 🩷 Bluey is the biggest girl and most calm. Bluey is usually the first to fall asleep after some hard playtime. 🩷 Coco is the litter’s energizer bunny, the last to crash, and can be found pulling her sibling’s tail while they try to sleep. 🩷 Snickers, sweet Snickers, is the most vocal and isn’t shy about letting you know when she needs loving. Her dense, black fur is very soft. They are going to be eye-catching doggies with super smarts, who’ll need daily walks and activity to keep their big brains engaged. They have the potential to excel in training and will embrace the challenges of it. Each of them will be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped, plus they’ll come to you current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Their adoption fees are $275. To meet them, get approved to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org, and their foster will be in touch to set up a meet & greet. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
