Story
This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. Please fill out our online dog adoption application if you are interested in adopting this pet. Landry is 3 years old, 82 pounds, neutered, up to date on all necessary vetting.  Meet Landry! Landry is the biggest baby you'll ever meet. He is 82 pounds in the physical world, but his soul is 10 pounds. He is a lover and wants to be wherever his people are. Landry does well with people, though can be shy at first, as well as other dogs! No cats for this fella, though. Truly, this snuggle bug would love to be your new best friend. If he sounds like your kind of guy, apply to meet him!July 24, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
At 7 months old and 52 lbs of pure love and enthusiasm, Ginger is the ultimate bundle of joy and energy! This playful pup loves nothing more than snuggling up after a day of exploration, preferring to get as close to you as possible for maximum cuddle time. Ginger's passions include destroying stuffed toys in record time being the ultimate fetch champion! She'll chase down a tennis ball with the speed and precision of a pro athlete, and her wagging tail is the perfect victory dance. While Ginger loves everyone, her excitement might be a bit too much for the little ones. She may be more suited to a home with older kids who can keep up with her enthusiastic energy! Ginger's a quick learner and is mastering the leash (she's getting better every day!) She gets along well with other dogs and has shown curiosity for cats but no aggression, just a friendly sniff or two. She's a pro at house training, sleeps soundly in her kennel, and rarely barks. Her jumping skills are impressive-she can clear a 4.5 ft fence with ease, so a secure yard is a must. Ginger is always ready for an adventure and does well with car rides, making her the perfect companion for an active family. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will bring joy, playfulness, and a bit of excitement to your life, Ginger is the pup for you! Ginger will come with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250. Apply to adopt Ginger today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
I'm Molly! At around 7 months old and 45 lbs, I'm a calm and timid girl with a heart full of love. I'm as sweet as they come, rarely bark, and get along best with other calm, quiet pups. I sleep soundly in my kennel at night and have a 100% accident-free record indoors. I enjoy walks and exploring, and I'm a pro on the leash. While I'm curious about cats, I have little interest in pursuing them. I'm quick to learn and eager to please. My love language is snuggles and I'm convinced personal space is overrated! I enjoy playing, but I'm not a fan of roughhousing, yelling or loud noises. I do have a penchant for the occasional zoomie, but I promise it's more adorable than alarming. And I can clear a 4.5 ft fence effortlessly, though I'm just trying to come back inside for more snuggles, not escape! I would shine in a quieter home, ideally as an only pup or with other calm dogs who can help build my confidence. If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion, I'm your girl! Molly will come with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250. Apply to adopt Molly today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
River is an 8mo. Border Heeler (Border Collie & Blue Heeler). We offered to foster/adopt him from a friend who couldn't keep him due to moving. It was contingent on integration w our current lifestyle & pets (2 cats & 1 sr dog). We're just not able to give him the time/training needed for him to really thrive based on his breed/puppy energy - someone will tho! River is house trained, sits/down well, doesn't beg for scraps, no leash aggression towards other dogs. He's playful w mega energy and does great with lil kids and at dog daycare/parks. He is updated on all shots. He does have separation anxiety, and some resource guarding towards our other dog, strong prey drive (okay w 1 cat, not w other) , he is good crated when we leave home/bed time. W training he will make a fantastic and loyal dog. He would be best in a home by himself w kids (maybe another puppy w same energy), an exp. dog owner, someone athletic (ok w/ extra time needed for training), or on a farm as a working dog.
