Meet Bada🩵 At the end of June 2022, Bada was admitted to the shelter with a fractured front leg. Bandaged in the hot weather, his wound attracted flies, and upon examination after rescue, his bones were misaligned, requiring a second surgery. Now, his bones have healed well, and he is happily running around without any issues. 😊 * Interaction with People : Bada is extremely fond of people. He's a sweetheart to humans, always greeting them with a big smile, which is so adorable. ❤ * Interaction with Dogs: He can be assertive towards dogs who play rough, so caution is needed. Tends to avoid encountering dogs with whom he had a clash at the Center. * Potty Training: He's been doing outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: He's cooperative with ear cleaning and doesn't resist. However, he might whine when getting his nails trimmed as he's not used to it, so regular walks to grind his nails are necessary. * Walking: He follows people without pulling on the leash. Sometimes, he may resist going where he doesn't want to, but with leash training, he'll likely improve quickly. * Car Sickness: He's fine in the car and doesn't experience motion sickness at all! 💌Special Notes💌 * Separation anxiety and toilet training are still unknown as he's been living in a group at the center. * He rarely barks unnecessarily, but sometimes, he may bark alertly at external noises. He stops when called. * Bada enjoys being with people and receiving love while resting, so a place where he can receive undivided attention would be ideal. ☺️ He also enjoys his alone time when needed!

This is BEN! This 23 pounds and ~5 months old as of October. We think he’s a “Borador” (Lab/Border Collie mix). Ben is a typical happy puppy who loves to play, and gets along great with all dogs! We really have nothing more to say about him because he’s such a sweetie. Ben and some other puppies were found under a bridge with their mama (or another adult female dog, we don’t actually know if it was their mom) who were all dumped there. Our founder feeds a dog who lives under the bridge every day and someone must have known this and left these dogs for us to rescue. Oliver is a 9 old handsome border Collie mix that was adopted out of a local shelter when he was 16 weeks old. His birthdate is November 06, 2014. Oliver has had the same owner until recently and unfortunately the owner decided that it was best to surrender him to a local kill shelter due to the fact that he has osteosarcoma and amputation of the front leg was necessary. We could not allow this handsome boy to decline sitting behind bars so we stepped in to save him and brought him into our program. Oliver is enjoying his life in his new foster home - and his missing leg does not bother him at all!!! He is making friends slowly as he himself is still learning how to navigate his world with only three legs. Oliver runs all over the five acres, jumps up onto the porch and into vehicles with no problems. He does tend to get tired after a bit of running and exploring, then he returns to his crate and comfy bed. He is absolutely crate trained and housebroken. He will let you know when he needs to go out. Oliver does not play with toys very much but does enjoy a nice smoked marrow bone. Oliver is all about people and will easily become attached to his human. He is a quiet dog...not a barker. Oliver is looking for a quiet place without small children as the noise and activity level of small children make him nervous. Behaviours : Bear is a gentle and a lovely boy who loves people – He doesn’t have any aggressive behaviours or doesn’t bark often(He barks at breakfast and dinner because he wants to be fed as soon as possible). Even when his dog friends bother him a lot, he might express that he doesn't like it, but he wouldn't attack them. He is ok with bath and grooming, but teeth cleaning and ear cleaning aren't his favorite. Though- he won't bite you~ He is a gentle boy ;) He has a good walking manner, but he can't have long walk at the moment, because his hind legs gets uncomfortable (We're working on his diet to improve his hind leg issue). He is an adorable big boy who has gentle soul with so much love in him! He will ADORE you!! Allergy/health issues: He has no allregy issue. He is on diet and we're trying to get him more muscle around his knees, because of his hind legs. Once she gets used to you, she allows pets and wags her tail. Likes people and has a special fondness for women. * Interaction with Dogs: Is not particularly interested in other dogs. Is afraid of dogs that are bigger than her and flies from them. * Interaction with cats: Is easily aroused ehen she encounters cats on walks. Sits upon request after being blocked from them * Separation Anxiety: Stays calm alone. * Potty training: Only goes potty outside. * Grooming: Tolerates bathing, brushing, toothbrushing, and nail clipping well. * Walks: Used to be scared of walks but likes them ang is doingvwell now. Pulls much less in using a collar rather a harness but gets worsen in unfamiliar places. People approaching suddenly or loud noises, or fast cars can scare her and she’ll freeze up.
