Story
Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Sadie is 5 1/2 years old. She has lots of energy and is very loving and very smart. Loves to play catch and will catch a Frisbee mid-air! Will do well with a family that has a fenced in yard. She is crate trained. She does get along with other does after an introduction period. She does well at the boarders. She does have a little anxiety when getting her nails trimmed. Does well at the Vet. We hate to give her up but due to failing heath we are not able to care for her. We want her to go to a family that will love her as much ad we do. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old. We need her to find a home by February 1st.

Millie loves to go for runs and go hiking, we say she’s like a mountain goat haha Millie is always up for an adventure and would fit best with a family who enjoys the outdoors and exploring new places! It would also be great for her to have a backyard to run around in. Although she will try to steal your food, Millie would be the perfect addition to your family! Millie can be timid and skiddish at first, but she quickly warms up to people! She will need someone who is experienced with dogs who have anxiety and she may need your help correcting slight barking.

Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... Say hi to Mylo! He is a very intelligent and fast 5 month old. He loves his chew toys and a good nap. He is not food aggressive and loves to spend time with other dogs. He has been incredible to have in our home, but he needs more time to play. We have taught him how to sit, potty trained him, and he has been crate trained with us the past couple months. We love this cuddle bug and are excited to help him find his forever home.

Story
Jeb is an Australian Shepherd who needs a home better suited to his needs. After a short trial in our multi-dog home, it’s clear he does not do well living with other dogs and would likely do best as an only dog (or with very careful introductions). He is affectionate, cuddly, loves attention, and is good with visitors/adults. He walks well on leash and is continuing to work on leash manners. He is very bonded and protective of his person and can be sensitive to loud noises/yelling. No known bite history. He may be an escape risk (has jumped a chain-link fence in a prior home), so a secure yard is important. He needs daily enrichment/exercise and a calm, experienced home (someone home often preferred). He does not do well in a crate and will panic. Previous owners report he did well with a pet bird, but compatibility with cats/small animals is unknown.
