Story
Found as a stray, female border collie pure breed. Working hard to rehome her, as owner has not come forward after 30 days. Some unknowns, medically, no history with her. She is very sweet, good natured, good with my smaller dogs, house trained. She is on the timid side, but very loving, she i def a cuddler, and attentive. She doesnt like thunder, doesnt chew on things, shes a very good dog. I cannot keep her for much longer. I have two of my own already. she could use an experienced owner for her breed, but would be a great companion for a single person, or family! Please share. Not chipped. Thank you!

Story
I adopted Luca about a year and a half ago as a puppy. I’ve had him since august 2021. I currently live with my roommate and his dog, but we are both moving out and I won’t be able to take him with me. I currently switched positions in my job and I’m working longer hours. My roommate has been helping me with him, but once I move I won’t be able to do it alone. Since I could be gone for up to 11 hours a day. He is a sweet boy. He loves attention and cuddles. He does need some retraining on barking and is a little scared of new people, but he has never bitten anyone and just needs a little time but he always warms up to people and will be asking to be pet in no time. He does love to chew so bones and toys help him from chewing on personal items. Since he will be getting separated from my roommates dog he will need extra attention and exercise. He knows how to sit and give you his paw. He understands once you say inside he will go in his crate and he will be good for the night.

Maggy May is a pill pocket! LOL she is full of love and fun. She is very dog friendly but has that dominants personality. She is that wild child that you can't help but fall in love with and laugh so hard you have to hold your side! She is housebroken but needs a strong crate while getting use to a new environment. She is good on leash and easy to handle :) Mags would do great in an active household where she can go on adventures and snuggle on the couch!

Story
Rocky is 7 years old. He is an incredible pup. He is an Aussie / Border Collie mix. The past year and a half we have lived in a new home and he has increasingly been having anxiety issues. He has less room to run in the new place and we have 3 dogs. We have tried everything and my schedule has become very packed. He needs walks and lots of play time. He would be ok in a house with dogs but still needs more room to run and more exercise than I can provide. He loves kids and will sleep and cuddle with you. He is loyal and very clingy ha! Sweet dog just know he needs more attention and more space than I can provide.

Story
Meet Kanna!Looking for an extremally loving dog who just needs one family to see her as the gem she truly is? We'll then look no further, Kanna may be the girl for you. Kanna is the sweetest pup once you let her get to know and trust you.Kanna was rescued from a hoarding situation back in July of 2020 and is around 3 years old. Although it is uncertain what she's lived through in the past, she came to Saving Hope as a severe case of behavioral issues triggered by fear. Kanna has been with a behavioral trainer since her intake and has come along way. She's become more comfortable with car rides and more engaged during walks. She's still weary of strangers and will keep a safe distance as she judges if it's safe to approach or not, but with time and patience her personality will shine. She walks decent on the leash, given that walks were a major issue for Kanna upon intake, the improvement shows. Kanna is crate and house trained. She even does well with other playful dogs and loves the play chase.Other things to know about Kanna:Kanna currently reside with 2 other dogs and hasn't had any issues with her dog friends. She is extremely playful. She is crate trained, potty trained and uses the doggie door. She is a Border Collie Mix and has a moderate protective nature. She tends to get vocal when triggered by neighbors or people walking by the house. She normally settles on command. Kanna is highly adaptable but because she is particularly on the fearful spectrum, merely approaching her and acting friendly won't be enough to gain her immediate trust. Bonding with Kanna takes work and when done genuinely with an open heart she will open her heart for you. Kanna has a high energy level so mental stimulation goes along way helping her needs to get metTo set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Meet Django! Hi I'm Django and I'm 11 months old. I'm a big sweetheart that loves to play and love on my humans, I am one smart cookie too! I'm the only one from my pack that has outsmarted those pesky squirrels that live to taunt us. So when I catch one I make sure to bring him to my humans so I can get rewarded. I also love walks. I'm laser focused because my human is on a mission to get to & from our destination at record time and I make sure we do that! I am a pretty chill pup but I thrive when you take me on your missions as I am one hellava wingman. If you are looking for an active and playful pup, I'M YOUR GUY!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Starla! If you are looking for a cuddle bug who eagerly greets you every time she sees you, Starla is your girl. There is so much love in her little 24lb body, and she's looking to share it with someone who will love her just as much. She will enjoy laying in bed with you, sitting on the couch, or going on adventures. She is wonderful with kids of all ages. She is very curious about cats, but has no problem sharing the bed or your lap. Starla would be okay as an only dog, but truly does thrives with another pup playmate to run around the yard with. In her early life she has had to protect her food, and may bark at other dogs attempting to get close to her food or toys- but she is very redirectable and will be back to playing. She does not good guard with children and has never growled at them. Starla came to us with several other dogs who were abandoned in Big Sandy, she is estimated at 1-2 years old and a Border Collie/Shepherd mixed breed. Story
Meet Perdita! Hi I'm Perdita! I'm about 4 months old. I'm trying very hard to get potty trained but sometimes I get scared or too excited and I "piddle" I promise I'm trying very hard to get better. However, I'm a very happy and loving puppy! I can't get enough of people and kids. Little kitties are my absolute favorite thing to play with. I wish my foster home had more kids and more kitties to play with. My foster siblings are 3 other dogs and 3 cats! It's a full house so I know how to get along with everyone! Chasing kids with popsicles is my favorite game! My foster mom says it isn't a game but I think she is confused. I would love a family that enjoys being active outside! My foster mom thinks I'm a Border Collie mix and so that makes me a super intelligent working dog! So, I'm not just some gorgeous, adorable and snuggly puppy but I'm also apparently super smart! Anyways, I'm looking for a forever home that will love me no matter what and remember I'm a puppy! So get ready for some puppy breath! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
During the winter storm 2021, we were looking for wood and Kuma was laid down at the gate of a home we were getting wood from. He asked us if we could take him and he would give us free wood. He explained that the dog just came one day and didn’t leave. We took him to PetSmart to get him weighed and checked for a chip, he did not have a chip and they informed us he was an Aussie Shepherd mix approx 31/2 years old. We took him home after getting his shots required at the time. He is sweet, loves affection, likes to roam in the backyard and talk to the other dogs in the neighborhood. He was diagnosed with heartworms when we first got him, we gave him all antibiotics he needed, but he has not had any surgery. Right now he is active and shows no signs of having heartworms.
