Story
I am in need of re-homing my dog Sophie. I rescued her at the Hurst Adoption Center Nov 2023. She is 9 months old and weighs around 30 lbs. She is a border collie mix. She lives with my older dog and they get along great! She is great with dogs and super playful. She is crate trained so she knows to potty when taken outside. She knows sit and how to fetch toys. She loves to cuddle and play with her toys. She needs a home with a yard for her to run. I can't provide the time and attention she needs so I'm hoping to find a better home for her.

Story
We got Louise from prairie paw, it is a no kill shelter for animals. She was born in late November of 2023. She is a border collie mix. She is a beautiful black and white dog, her black hair shines. She is a very sweet and loveable dog. She looks you in the eyes and seems to want to ask you all kinds of questions, she turns her head side ways like she is saying, what? She does follow commands. I really don't want to give her up, but due to family illness and my age, I can no longer take care of her. I'm hoping to find a good and loving home for her.

Maggy May is a pill pocket! LOL she is full of love and fun. She is very dog friendly but has that dominants personality. She is that wild child that you can't help but fall in love with and laugh so hard you have to hold your side! She is housebroken but needs a strong crate while getting use to a new environment. She is good on leash and easy to handle :) Mags would do great in an active household where she can go on adventures and snuggle on the couch!

Story
Meet Summer! Howdy, they call me Summer because I bring the sunshine, happiness and laughter to every party! I am 1 year old and I love like there is no tomorrow and am as gentle as you need me to be. When my foster family first said yes to me, they had zero clue just how sick I really was, because I showed as little as possible that side of me. And showed them nothing but the happy, grateful, playful side of me. If that gives you any idea of how laid back temperament wise I am. Ideally I would love to find an active family or adult who will give me endless car rides if they like, or all the cuddles and wiggly butt smiles they can take, or what ever adventure they may have in mind.I do have a lot of energy, but if you aren't as energetic that is okay too! I LOVE CATCH!!!!! I light up when you throw a ball for me and I will come rushing back to drop the ball back near your feet. I am that girl! So have no fear of your lifestyle with me, as long as you can love me and throw me balls galore; we should be loving life to the fullest. I can't wait to meet you and until then my foster mom and Nona are taking really good care of me. Story
Meet Sailor! Sailor is slow to warm up to new people and new environments, but once he does he becomes a more enthusiastic and excitable dog, occasionally sharing more and more of his personality as time goes on. He does seem to acclimate faster with a somewhat calmer/older dog around to keep him company. Too much going on all at once can cause him some stress in those new environments. Sailor is very curious, and typically likes to be in the room with people, even if he is just watching from afar. He likes to follow people as they walk about the house. He also likes to make sure he gets his meals, and if he notices you haven't eaten a meal too, he will try to get your attention to get you into the kitchen because he also wants a snack if you're willing to share. Sailor is not picky about his treats, whether it is some carrots, a flavored dog treat, or a couple pieces of steak. He easily takes any medication he has needed, whether it's with a pill pocket, in a piece of cheese, or covered in peanut butter.Sailor does like frequent bathroom breaks during the day, but is good about having no messes overnight, although he will start making a whining sound in the morning when he has to go. He has shown some mild interest in various toys and enrichment, but he typically likes to run a few laps around the yard with a playmate as his form of play time. He walks decently on a leash, but sudden loud noises can startle him into stopping for a prolonged time, and cars and unfamiliar pedestrians do cause him to stop and try to hide behind his person until they have gone by. Sailor does well during car rides, he does not bark, howl, or otherwise distract the driver. He is fairly calm and quiet, just observing his surrounding, but there have been a few times he has gotten sick during a short drive.Sailor is about 5 years old and was part of a hoarding case. He will need a patient home willing to give him time to open up and feel secure. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. **COURTESY LISTING- THIS IS NOT AN EPIC DOG. PLEASE CONTACT CAN.ADOPTIONS@YAHOO.COM FOR INFORMATION***   SWEET SWEET SWEET!  Found as a stray dumped in the country.  Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist.  He passed all his tests with flying colors.   Finn is about 18 months old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped.  He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside.  He is a little shy with other dogs but will warm up with proper introductions.  Finn LOVES people!  He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic.   Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him.  He will make a fabulous addition to the right family.   For more information on adopting Finn, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com or call 903-967-3226. Story
Ralphie is a really sweet dog. Great with kids. Easy to walk - on or off leash. He gets along well with dogs. He is part border collie / cattle dog? He will be 6 in May. We have suspected and it's confirmed through an animal communicator that he would be happiest as the "right hand dog" to a person who wants to do everything with him and be by his side, as a partner in life. Running and hiking and car rides and adventures. He is smart and wants to be told what to do and to please you. He is looking for his "person". He loves and is loved by his family now but they are busy professionals and it isn't enough for him. He deserves a more active life. He has occasional epileptic seizures controlled by medication. (last one 3 mo. ago) We will pay for his medication to the person that will love him and give him the life he deserves. He can sit, stay, heel, place, search and retrieve, barks at delivery guys but not in the yard or car. Easy to take to a local outside cafe.

These pups are in Fort Worth, Texas too!

Story
We got Oddie through a coworker, on July 9, 2021 right after he turned 6 weeks. He is a sweet loving pet and very protective of his family. He loves the backyard. He is afraid of the mower and will go after your shoes/heels when he wants to play. I would like for Oddie to go to a loving home where he has plenty of yard to run and play.

Story
Meet Luna! Luna is 2yo (36lbs) in need of a loving home. I have taken her to be thoroughly checked out by a vet - clean bill of health, fully vaccinated & is on flea/tick/heart worm prevention meds Luna has been a great mom! She’s very sweet, not food aggressive, I haven’t heard her bark once, she’s good with other dogs - shy at first but warms up quickly, you can touch her anywhere without any reaction. She’s hesitant being picked up but again you won’t get a reaction other than her naturally wanting to stay on the ground. She loves attention & being close & does fine in a kennel for a decent amount of hours. I can’t say she’s fully potty trained but since I’ve had her I let her roam freely inside my house & she hasn’t had an accident, I can open the door & she will handle her business outside. As of now she is no longer nursing, she is still lactating but her breast will shrink down in the next 3-5 weeks (per vet).

Story
Pecos is 2 years old. He is calm, cuddly, and friendly. He was previously a foster and gets along well with other animals. He loves to play and cuddle. He does get a bit of separation anxiety so someone who is home often or has a large and comfortable space for him to play in while away is perfect. Perfect for families or families with other dogs. Very much “man’s best friend” kind of dog. Loyal and very well trained.
