She is very affectionate and loves to run, play fetch and most of all, go on walks. She knows all basic commands. Mauer would be perfect for a couple or single person who prefer only one dog with no small children. If you know collies, she is typical of the breed. Mauer is not a couch potato. She needs an active lifestyle and an important part of your life. If you are looking for a smart girl who would love to share life’s adventures, please consider Mauer to be the one for you. I adopted Nova with her sister Sugar who is also needing to be rehomed. I really want them to go together as they have never been apart and really love each other. They have been extremely sheltered, not even really leash trained as I have a large property. Nova loves toys, she likes to walk around with them and often falls asleep with them in her mouth. The girls are very vocal and we always loved hearing them “sing” so it has always been encouraged. They are extremely playful but we have never had kids around? There just aren’t any I know, so i am unsure how they will be though I assume they will be great. They love attention and hugs and kisses. They grew up in a pack where we have several dogs and cats, they do well with all of them and like to play with everyone. They are mostly house trained however going into a new home they will need frequent breaks and a schedule. That will be best to het them back on track in a new place.
