Story
Hi. I’m Stella! I’m basically the full package: beauty, brains, bounce, and just a touch of dramatic flair. At 62 pounds, I’m what you might call “athletic goddess meets goofball roommate.” I’m about a year old and my foster mom thinks I’m a pittie/boxer/mastiff mix! 💕 About Me 🏃‍♀️ My Ideal Match You’re active. You like walks, hikes, adventures, maybe a little backyard zoomie time. I’m young and full of energy, and I’d love a family that’s excited to do life with me. 💪 Fun Fact (The Comeback Story) When I arrived in Colorado, I had a mystery broken hip. Plot twist: I’m healed now! I had surgery and don’t have a femoral head on one side, which just makes me unique. Think of it as a custom upgrade. It doesn’t slow me down from living my best life — it just makes me extra special edition. 🛋️ My Guilty Pleasure I may lie, cheat, and steal… I’ll lie right on top of you. I’ll cheat on you with any comfy couch. And I’ll steal your spot the second you stand up. But I do it in the absolute cutest way possible, so honestly, you’ll probably thank me. If you’re looking for: ✔️ A dog who loves other dogs ✔️ A big personality in a gorgeous 62-lb package ✔️ A loyal best friend once she trusts you ✔️ A comeback queen with a heart of gold Then congratulations. You just found your match. Stella is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/stella/. ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Koda is 4.5 years old and the sweetest most playful pup you will meet. He loves romping around with other dogs, wrestling and snuggling with humans, and has some mild herding instincts he's not sure what to do with. He is very well trained and knows many commands including Sit, Wait, Lay Down, Relax (head on the ground), Pose (go between your legs), Right (a heel on the right side), Touch (nose your palm, this is his recall word), and many more. He is crate trained and loves to take a siesta if humans are nearby, definitely a velcro dog and prefers to be in the same room as whoever's home, otherwise he loves to lay on a comfy chair and look out the window. Koda's perfect new home would be with someone who is ready to take his training to the next level and offer lots of mental stimulation, while he adores fetch and tug, he is very thoughtful and loves a challenge. He has had two minor-medium bite incidents with "home intruders", and rare dog aggression (no bites).
