She will sit or lay right next to you wherever you are like your personal sidekick. Indie has a more calmer nature, but when she’s excited she can also seem anxious. Which she is a little, she’s afraid of thunder and fireworks, and needs something to hold in her mouth (right now she has a bunny) when she’s excited. But she is so loyal and sweet. She is full of love, joy, and personality, and she has the biggest heart. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly just wants to be close to those she loves. She is a high-energy girl who needs space to run, play, and be herself, so a home with a backyard is very important for her. Kona would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention, though a calm, small dog may be okay with the right match and slow introduction - currently has a 1 yr old frenchie brother. She is house trained and crate trained. She would thrive in a home with a family or individual who is home most of the time and can give her the time, exercise, and companionship she needs. Dolly is a medium-sized girl, but a giant sweetheart. She absolutely loves to cuddle and has been so affectionate with everyone she's met. She is playful and interested in toys. She seems inquisitive about her reflection in the mirror. Dolly is potty trained, sits when asked, and usually comes when called, but could use a little more training to solidify her recall. She doesn't pull too much on leash, but she seems more hesitant and scared outside so far. Dolly does well in her crate, and hasn't whined or barked at all in her foster home. Scooby is such a good boy. Completely potty trained, knows sit and shake and loves cuddling, walks, sunbathing, belly rubs and cuddles. He sleeps in the bed and on the couch, and you can tell that’s what he is used to so we don’t really try the crate. He does great with my senior chihuahua and leash intros to dogs on walks have gone well, but haven’t had a chance for meeting with dogs that have energy and want to play. Would do more dog introductions to know for sure, but he seems just interested and wants to say hi but does bark and pull when they are on other sides of fences. He is good on the walk, but strong and does pull to see dogs, people and squirrels. So gentle with food. He’ll sit and wait to see what you have patiently. Isn’t very interested in toys or harder treats, but does like soft ones. He knows the pills are in peanut butter but will take them in meatballs. He is a big ol sweet baby. He definitely knows the word walk and absolutely loves his two walks a days. ##2655063##

Topper...seriously one of the sweetest, calmest, most submissive dogs I have ever met. He doesn't bark, he is not hyper, he loves to cuddle, he is submissive with other dogs and never shows any aggression even if a dog is trying to be dominant with him, and is living with cats and kittens. He was picked up by animal control with a large gash on his neck. The shelter fixed him up but then he ran out of time and was placed on the euthanasia list. I am so glad I got him out because he is the best. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. This sweet boy is a total professional when it comes to kisses, cuddles, and long walks. While he gets a little wiggly and excited to gear up for an adventure, he is a complete gentleman the moment you hit the pavement; no pulling here! He is a strong, sturdy lad who knows how to use his size for affection; he will occasionally give you a lean with his body weight when he is excited to see you or ready to head out. He is not a big fan of going into the kennel and will dart out to see you when the door opens, so be ready for some love when he sees you are ready to interact! However, once he is in his kennel, his manners are impeccable. He is remarkably quiet, rarely barks, and will simply sit and observe, hoping to catch your eye for a little human connection. When in the yard, he is going to love zoomies, and will love to play He may not do well with cats since he is very fascinated with them, so check in with us about cat testing first to make sure he is the right for your family He was a total star at our recent adoption event, winning over volunteers and strangers alike with his waggy tail and gentle treat taking. The dogs he met all interacted well together, but he appreciates a slow, respectful introduction to ensure everyone is on the same page. He is currently at our Fort Lupton Shelter and is waiting for his forever home!
