We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. Raleigh is a 3MO, 10lb long little Brindle pup. We are guessing she will be about 20-25lbs when full grown. raleigh and her siblings are all different and unique, which makes it hard for us to even guess what breeds they truly are. Honestly we have zero idea what their breeds are, but we know they are absolutely adorable, unique, and so, so sweet. Raleigh and her siblings were found as strays in a rural part of Texas. They were absolutely terrified at first. A wonderful rescue lady in the area brought all the pups back to her house and kept them safe until we could get them into our rescue program. They have really started to come out of their shells and learn all that life has to give - when you aren't busy fighting for your life in the middle of nowhere. Raleigh and her siblings are typical puppies. They love to play with each other, romp around with the fosters other dogs, and follow the foster around, cuirously watching them. They love to snuggle and hang out. Their forever families will need to be patient with them as they continue to learn all that life has to offer and that humans are kind and safe. While they have little legs, they would still love to have a sibling to play with or someone who can take them on daily walks/adventures and get them continual mental stimulation and socialization. Topper...seriously one of the sweetest, calmest, most submissive dogs I have ever met. He doesn't bark, he is not hyper, he loves to cuddle, he is submissive with other dogs and never shows any aggression even if a dog is trying to be dominant with him, and is living with cats and kittens. He was picked up by animal control with a large gash on his neck. The shelter fixed him up but then he ran out of time and was placed on the euthanasia list. I am so glad I got him out because he is the best. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. This sweet boy is a total professional when it comes to kisses, cuddles, and long walks. While he gets a little wiggly and excited to gear up for an adventure, he is a complete gentleman the moment you hit the pavement; no pulling here! He is a strong, sturdy lad who knows how to use his size for affection; he will occasionally give you a lean with his body weight when he is excited to see you or ready to head out. He is not a big fan of going into the kennel and will dart out to see you when the door opens, so be ready for some love when he sees you are ready to interact! However, once he is in his kennel, his manners are impeccable. He is remarkably quiet, rarely barks, and will simply sit and observe, hoping to catch your eye for a little human connection. When in the yard, he is going to love zoomies, and will love to play He may not do well with cats since he is very fascinated with them, so check in with us about cat testing first to make sure he is the right for your family He was a total star at our recent adoption event, winning over volunteers and strangers alike with his waggy tail and gentle treat taking. The dogs he met all interacted well together, but he appreciates a slow, respectful introduction to ensure everyone is on the same page. He is currently at our Fort Lupton Shelter and is waiting for his forever home!
