******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Raleigh is a 3MO, 10lb long little Brindle pup.  We are guessing she will be about 20-25lbs when full grown.  raleigh and her siblings are all different and unique, which makes it hard for us to even guess what breeds they truly are.  Honestly we have zero idea what their breeds are, but we know they are absolutely adorable, unique, and so, so sweet.   Raleigh and her siblings were found as strays in a rural part of Texas.  They were absolutely terrified at first.  A wonderful rescue lady in the area brought all the pups back to her house and kept them safe until we could get them into our rescue program.  They have really started to come out of their shells and learn all that life has to give - when you aren't busy fighting for your life in the middle of nowhere.   Raleigh and her siblings are typical puppies.  They love to play with each other, romp around with the fosters other dogs, and follow the foster around, cuirously watching them.  They love to snuggle and hang out.  Their forever families will need to be patient with them as they continue to learn all that life has to offer and that humans are kind and safe.  While they have little legs, they would still love to have a sibling to play with or someone who can take them on daily walks/adventures and get them continual mental stimulation and socialization. If you are interested in adopting Raleigh or one of her siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2647828##

Story
Scooby is such a good boy. Completely potty trained, knows sit and shake and loves cuddling, walks, sunbathing, belly rubs and cuddles. He sleeps in the bed and on the couch, and you can tell that’s what he is used to so we don’t really try the crate. He does great with my senior chihuahua and leash intros to dogs on walks have gone well, but haven’t had a chance for meeting with dogs that have energy and want to play. Would do more dog introductions to know for sure, but he seems just interested and wants to say hi but does bark and pull when they are on other sides of fences. He is good on the walk, but strong and does pull to see dogs, people and squirrels. So gentle with food. He’ll sit and wait to see what you have patiently. Isn’t very interested in toys or harder treats, but does like soft ones. He knows the pills are in peanut butter but will take them in meatballs. He is a big ol sweet baby. He definitely knows the word walk and absolutely loves his two walks a days.  ##2655063##

Story
"Hi. I’m Stella! I’m basically the full package: beauty, brains, bounce, and just a touch of dramatic flair. At 62 pounds, I’m what you might call “athletic goddess meets goofball roommate.” I’m about a year old and my foster mom thinks I’m a pittie/boxer/mastiff mix! 💕 About Me I LOVE other dogs. Like… all of them. Big, small, fluffy, awkward — I’m your girl. I play hard, but I listen. If a dog says, “Hey Stella, that’s enough,” I’ll dial it back and be a polite lady. With humans? I’m a slow burn. I like to build suspense. I may play a little hard to get at first, but once I know you’re my person… buckle up. My personality is HUGE and you’ll never be bored again. 👶 Kid Policy I think kids 10+ are my vibe. I just need them to understand that I like to take things slow at first. Once we’re friends? I’m loyal for life. 🏃‍♀️ My Ideal Match You’re active. You like walks, hikes, adventures, maybe a little backyard zoomie time. I’m young and full of energy, and I’d love a family that’s excited to do life with me. 💪 Fun Fact (The Comeback Story) When I arrived in Colorado, I had a mystery broken hip. Plot twist: I’m healed now! I had surgery and don’t have a femoral head on one side, which just makes me unique. Think of it as a custom upgrade. It doesn’t slow me down from living my best life — it just makes me extra special edition. 🛋️ My Guilty Pleasure I may lie, cheat, and steal… I’ll lie right on top of you. I’ll cheat on you with any comfy couch. And I’ll steal your spot the second you stand up. But I do it in the absolute cutest way possible, so honestly, you’ll probably thank me. If you’re looking for: ✔️ A dog who loves other dogs ✔️ A big personality in a gorgeous 62-lb package ✔️ A loyal best friend once she trusts you ✔️ A comeback queen with a heart of gold Then congratulations. You just found your match." Story
Were looking for a forever home for Coco, our adorable 4-month-old puppy! Shes a sweetheart who loves belly rubs, treats, and being around people. Shes great with kids - weve had her around 4 and 7-year-olds and shes done fantastic. Shes also comfortable with our other older large dogs. She does great on walks with the leash and also listens well to the commands come and sit, and likes to play fetch. Shes still learning house training, but were confident shell pick it up with consistency and patience. Due to financial situations we havent gotten her vaccinations done yet. Shes very playful and would be a great family dog we wish we could keep her but dont have the room so we hope to find a loving home for her!
