Story
Hi, I`m Kawai! I`m a sweet, gentle girl who`s a little shy at first, but I`d love to find my forever home. I have a history of escaping from my previous yard, so I`ll do best with a secure 6-foot fence and supervision while I`m outside. Once I feel comfortable, I`ll be a loyal best friend and loving companion!

Story
Adopt Bug- who also goes by Buggy, stink-bug, buggy girl, is an 8 year old female Boxer.  She is house trained, crate-trained and spends most of her day lounging around at the foot of her owner and enjoys her daily walks. She loves to swim, playing keepy-uppy with balloons and chasing balls, drinking out of sprinkler and water hoses and playtime with her human.  She likes to communicate and stay on schedule- she knows when it’s time for her walks and feeding time and will be sure to remind you. Her ideal home would be as an only-child (kid-free and dog-free). She does enjoy playing with bigger dogs. She is still a cuddle-bug and has lots of love to give and life to live with a family or person that is suited for her. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
Meet Ms. Indy Anna Bones! “Indy” Indy is a lovable, playful, and absolute goofball of a Pit-Boxer mix. Though she started out as the runt of her litter, what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in heart. Extremely intelligent and deeply affectionate, Indy is a true "snuggle-bug" who will quickly become your shadow, happy to rest her bones as close to you as possible. She perfectly matches the energy of her household; whether you are running around completing chores in the yard or settling in for a long movie marathon on the couch, Indy is content to join in on the action or snooze nearby. Playtime is one of Indy’s absolute favorite things. She is utterly devoted to tennis balls, improving her fetch game at every opportunity, and is even showing signs of becoming a stellar frisbee dog for an owner interested in teaching her. Her intelligence shines brightest during training. She understands boundaries much faster than expected, and training her to sleep peacefully in her dog bed through the night was entirely effortless. While she politely refrains from begging for human food, she is highly treat-motivated and eager to learn new tricks. On walks, she is well-behaved on her leash, though she can be timid. When loud noises startle her, she simply needs a gentle handler who will allow her to sit, process her surroundings, and relax before continuing on her way. Sadly, Indy has a history, and will need a patient hand to help guide her to becoming the amazing companion we know she can be. She has some food resource guarding and she would growl at the cats in the home if they approached during meal time. So either no cats or cats that won't bother her while she eats. She has not made any aggressive movements or actions but she is tense during mealtimes. Young children scare her, and will need help through training on how to be around them. Patience, time, and care will help her through the mild trauma she displays. She’s timid around large men, but once you gain her trust, she will snuggle you till you can’t handle any more. This dog has a lot of potential, she would flourish in an environment that has another dog for her to have a buddy, learn from, and grow with. She will match your energy levels, whether its running around doing chores around the house and yard, or long movie marathons on the couch or in her bed, whichever your household allows.  She’s an absolute sweetheart and will fill your home with joy and love. Story
Kawasaki is an older girl and her `vroom vroom` had slowed to a quieter idle! She'd love a home where she can park herself in the sunshine and enjoy her Senior statusl Kawasaki came to Humane Colorado as a stray so we don't know her history but we do know she's friendly, leash-trained and easy to walk. Since we don't know much about her background we recommend a slow introduction to other dogs and pets in your home and she may do best with older children. Bring in your family to meet this lovely girl!August 13, 2026, 1:12 pm
