Story
“From the side of the highway to your home!" I am a goofy, loving, energetic ball of fun and I love playing with balls and toys. I do take time to build trust with new people and situations so I'd need someone very patient. I would need a home without small children. General Socialization Notes: I am fearful of new situations (new people, new dogs,) which presents as barking and backing away. I have been taking training classes to help build my confidence. I am extremely food motivated. I am getting much better at meeting new people especially when they have treats! I am potty trained and crate-trained. I sleep through the night and love my routine. Does Penny like other animals? I love playing with my 5-year old foster dog brother. He is a well-socialized friend and has a calm demeanor. I do want to chase small animals (rabbits and squirrels) on walks, so I'd likely not do well with small dogs, cats, or other small pets in the home. Does Penny like children? Younger children would be too unpredictable for me, but I might do well with older teens who are calm and take the time to build my trust. Favorite Toys: I love Kongs filled with treats (I'll spend hours working on them.) I really enjoy running through sprinklers. I also love tennis balls, and any squeaky toys to play fetch with. Ideal Forever Home: I need someone who is used to shy dogs like me. I'd love space to play outside and I'd need someone committed to continuing my training so I keep improving and building trust. I'd do well with a larger, well socialized dog. No small children please.

Story
Meet Anubis, a handsome boy who loves a good game of tug-of-war, fetch, and then-get ready-the zoomies! Anubis is a curious observer- he loves gazing out the window and keeping tabs on the neighborhood happenings. He's crate savvy and his previous home allowed him to go in and out of this safe space as he pleased. Volunteers tell us that Anubis likes to lead the way when out exploring, but if they stop walking, he'll return to their side and responds well to requests for "sit" and "down" -- and loves treats tossed on the ground!Anubis would thrive with an active adopter who can match his playful energy and provide him with structure, love, and a spot by the window. Anubis objects to sharing food and toys with people and other animals so will only be adopted to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age. Primary Color: Tri Color Secondary Color: Brindle Weight: 45.2 Age: 3yrs 10mths 3wks

Story
Super-super sweet and gentle -- that's Tank, through and through! He's a big lover and a great family dog -- calm, easygoing and fun to be around. He loves being petted, giving kisses, and cuddling in your lap. If he seems a little shy when you meet, just offer him a treat! He's a big fan of cheese, chicken and hot dogs and would probably love trips to Starbucks for a Puppuccino. Tank sits for treats and enjoys a snuffle mat or a snuffle box, puzzle toys and Kongs to help keep him busy. He's a breeze to walk with a cute little strut, housetrained, and he lived well with another dog and a cat. Come meet Tank, the sweetest lap dog ever, and find out how wonderful he is!December 31, 2025, 3:36 pm

Story
I’m Reggie, a 7 year old male Boxer.  My volunteer says:  Reggie is here, and here’s our first impressions. He’s a beautiful boy with so much enthusiasm, he loves toys, walks, and snuggles, potty trained and slept quietly in the crate all night, settles quickly and is a great working companion. He’s friendly for dog greetings but for now prefers his food, stuff and people all to himself (so slow intros / your one and only dog may be best). ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Please do not email and ask for more information on how to adopt, all the information is already available online. The information you see here is all that is currently available about this dog. No boxers are adopted without a completed application and home check. Thank you! ##2617329##
