We can only imagine the despair she must have felt. When she got to the rescue, she was skin and bones. But she was still giving kisses and wagging her tail when we got her at the rescue. Now Maddie is healthy, playful and energetic. Bonded with the boxer Odie, but apprehensive with the new dogs. Good with calm friendly dogs she knows. Needs a yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. Deuce is a dog my niece brought home, but she is no longer able to provide care for him with a new baby in the house. He is very friendly, but rambunctious. He is just now 2 years old, has a short reddish/brown coat that has almost a velvety feel to it, and loves to run around our yard. I would love it if whoever adopted him has a yard! He's going to need to have more house training to break him of certain peeing habits. He tends to playfully bite, and he jumps up on people and tables, we're trying to work on him to break him of those habits. He was chewing up everything at one point, but he seems to be moving past that phase, but I'd advise caution in giving him any beds or access to furniture, at least not right away. We are keeping him in an indoor kennel during times we cannot watch him inside the house. Overall, he's a cute, friendly, goofy guy. I'd love to keep him, but we have 2 dogs and 5 cats already. I will work with any potential adopters in getting him rehomed!

We got Paula from Riverdale animal shelter last year. She’s an amazing dog. She’s friendly with kids and people. We have a two year old and she is super gentle with him and love to play. She is crate trained, potty trained, and doesn’t bark much. She does well around other dogs but tends to get hyper when first meeting them. We are looking for someone who is able to take her out on walks and play with her. She loves to cuddle. We haven’t had any issues with her but feel it is best she go with someone who can get her lots of time. She’s a great companion and cheery.

Hey guys, its me Maverick and I am looking for a new home preferably with another dog friend my size and people who can dedicate some time to training and socializing me. I do really well at doggie daycare and at the dog park - I love to run and play with other dogs. I am potty trained, sleep through the night in my bed, and know “sit, lay down, off, and go to bathroom” and am working on “focus, wait, go to bed and place”. I enjoy going for walks but need some work on my leash manners (I really want to chase the bunnies and squirrels). I love to play with toys, especially enrichment ones (lick mats, snuffle mats, puzzle games), and of course bones and treats. I enjoy watching all the people walking by my house. I may have a little bit of separation anxiety when alone, so building a routine and having a doggie friend may help. I’m wary of some strangers and will need time to warm up. I know that with some people dedicated to my training that I can be the bestest boy - will you take a chance on me?
