Story
Say hello to Delta, a super playful and affectionate female puppy!   She’s quick to warm up to new people, bonding almost instantly with her foster family. New dogs take more time for her to come around to but with a good introduction and some time she has become best friends with her foster brother! She loves to go out walking but is working on building her confidence on the leash. Delta is potty trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, and wait! She is quick to learn and would benefit from someone who will put time into training her. Delta is such a cuddle bug and stays snoozing at my feet while I work! She is a sassy, snuggly, medium energy girly who is so ready to be your new companion!!  ##2542872##

Story
Meet Drake! The sweet boy was rescued at the last minute from the euthanasia list of a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas. He is 45 pounds and is thought to be a Boxer mix. He has dark, beautiful brindle markings and golden-colored eyes... very striking! Not only is he beautiful, Drake is also very smart- he knows sit, stay, lay down, and kennel. He listens amazingly well. Drake is friendly with other dogs and seems to be good with cats as well. There isn't a person he meets that he doesn't love- are you ready for love? Drake is currently living in a boarding facility in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in San Antonio or Colorado. Please bring this boy into a home for the holidays. Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio. ##2595808##

Story
Hey there, I’m Susie! I’m a 4-year-old Bully mix with that classic look — chonky, short, and strong! Right now, I’m hanging out in a foster home where I’ve been learning all sorts of good manners. I even graduated from a 7-week basic obedience class (I’m pretty proud of that!) and my awesome foster keeps helping me learn new things every day so I can be the best doggo I can be. I’ve got a big personality — loving, loyal, and just the right amount of sassy. I’m not a fan of cats, and I can be a bit particular about other dogs, so I’d probably do best as your one and only pet. But trust me, I’ve got enough love to fill your whole home! If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky girl who’s ready to make you smile every day, I think we’d be a perfect match! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2204969##

Utah, boxer/pitbull mix, 70 lb, 4-5 yo, neutered maleUtah is a beautiful dog. He is calm, friendly, and happy with whatever activities are going on. He has a serious look and intense gaze, but personality-wise he is gentle, not that serious and loves to play. He is better with female dogs and a bit dominant with the male dogs. Bonded with Hutla, always goes to her kennel to check on her and get her out to play. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Was successfully treated for heartworm. Adoption fee $325. Story
I’m Spuds, a deaf 5 year old male Boxer mix. I’m sweet and squishy, a bit shy on walks for now, love meeting people and getting treats, nail the whole “tongue out Tuesday” vibe! I make for a handsome cowboy, or dress fancy in a bow tie when the occasion calls for it. I’m a sweet gentleman, really attach to people, and sit very nicely for treats. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
I’m Reggie, a 7 year old male Boxer.  My volunteer says:  Reggie is here, and here’s our first impressions. He’s a beautiful boy with so much enthusiasm, he loves toys, walks, and snuggles, potty trained and slept quietly in the crate all night, settles quickly and is a great working companion. He’s friendly for dog greetings but for now prefers his food, stuff and people all to himself (so slow intros / your one and only dog may be best). ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
