Story
Meet Petunia! Age: 7 Months | Breed: Boxer Mix | Coat: Short & Sleek Say hello to Petunia — the kind of dog who wins your heart the moment she walks through the door. This sweet seven-month-old Boxer mix has a personality so gentle and loving that it's nearly impossible not to fall for her instantly. Whether she's trotting happily on a leash, chasing a ball across the yard, or curling up close to her favorite person, Petunia is exactly the kind of companion who makes every day a little brighter. At seven months old, Petunia is fully embracing her puppy era — curious, playful, and always ready for the next adventure. She loves to explore her surroundings and has a natural enthusiasm for life that is both charming and contagious. Like any good puppy, she appreciates having plenty of toys on hand to keep those busy jaws occupied, and she thrives when her energy is channeled through regular walks, outdoor playtime, and consistent structure. The good news? She's already making incredible strides. Petunia is almost fully housebroken, has been making impressive progress with her basic commands, and settles in beautifully in her crate at night. She's the kind of puppy who genuinely wants to do well — and it shows. Her short, sleek coat is easy to maintain with only minimal shedding, making her a relatively low-maintenance girl in the grooming department. But at the end of the day, what truly sets Petunia apart is her heart. She loves her people deeply and just wants to be close to them. She'll spend the afternoon playing fetch and exploring outside, then happily curl up beside you when the day winds down. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and deeply loving companion who will keep you smiling all day and cuddle you all night — Petunia just might be your perfect match.  Adoption fee: $525, includes spay, 2 DAPP, Rabies, deworming, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
I’m an 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. My life was turned upside down when my old family left me at a high-intake shelter, but my foster mom helped me heal, feel safe again, and remember what it’s like to be loved. Now I’m ready to find a forever family who won’t ever give up on me. I’m a polite girl with great house manners — I only chew on my toys (never shoes!), and I absolutely love squeaky toys and cozy donut beds. I’m also a champion sleeper and perfectly happy to snooze in with you on quiet mornings. Walks are one of my favorite things! Long, sniffy walks make me so happy, and I’m a wonderful adventure buddy. Sometimes I get a little reactive when I see other dogs on leash, but I’m learning every day. With some patience and positive training, I might even enjoy living with another dog after slow introductions. I adore people and I can’t wait to become someone’s loyal best friend. I’m healthy, spayed, and so excited to start my next chapter. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, toy-collecting snugglebug who’s ready to be your whole world… I think we should meet. Love, Hunie. Adoption fee: $375, includes first 2 DAPP, bordetella, sterilized, heartworm test, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Dash! 🐾 The puppy with the BEST BOXER LIPS! Look at those smoochie jowls! Dash is a 6-month-old bundle of fun weighing about 45 pounds—and we think he’s going to be a big boy when he’s fully grown! This playful pup definitely lives up to his name and loves to zoom around the yard, wrestle with his doggy friends, and show off his impressive toy collection. Dash is a social butterfly with other dogs and would absolutely love a playful canine sibling to romp around with (though it’s not required). After a good play session, he’s just as happy to settle in for some cuddle time with his favorite humans. Like any growing pup, Dash is still learning the ropes. He’s currently working on his house and crate training and is doing a fantastic job! Because he’s young and eager to learn, Dash will need an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue his training and help him grow into the best boy he can be—no exceptions. Dash would do best in a home without cats or young children, where he can safely burn off his puppy energy and keep building his manners. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, and playful companion who will keep you smiling (and maybe a little more active!), Dash might be your perfect match. 🐕💨 Dash is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and neutered. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Angel - Angel is about 8-9 years young and 45 pounds. Angel looks like a Boxer/Bulldog/Terrier Mix (JUST A GUESS). Angel is the sweetest girl ever. Such a loving, calm and gentle soul who did not have the best life before coming to Canines & Kitties Rescue. Angel has overcome all the years of neglect and that caused her to have skin and eye infections. Her skin and eye infections are now fully cleared and her fur has grown back beautifully and she can see the world with those soulful brown eyes. Angel is now ready for her forever home. While we were able to fix the "superficial" things such as getting her skin back to normal and clearing her eye infections, we could not fix her knees. We had Angel's knees evaluated by one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the area and he said she was born with her knees not being in the sockets. She has never known any difference and she is not in any pain. She just has reduced mobility, which she is not at all bothered by. Angel loves to take slow strolls around the neighborhood and in her foster mom's backyard. She is able to sit down, lay down and get back up with no issue. She just walks at a slower pace than most dogs her age. Angel is great with other dogs and people of all ages. Angel is looking for a forever home where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves and a fenced in yard where she can walk around and sniff and lay in the sun as these are her two most favorite things to do:) Angel is spayed and she is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $300.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. ***AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTERING OR FOSTER TO ADOPT OPTION*** Meet Sassy! 🐾 Sassy is about 1 year old and weighs 38 lbs. We believe she may be a Boxer/Pit mix—but that’s just our best guess! Sassy would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention from her people. She’ll also need a home with a fenced yard so she can get the daily exercise she needs and burn off some of her playful energy. This fun-loving, energetic girl is always ready for an adventure. Sassy absolutely adores the young children in her foster home and would love to have kids in her forever family. She’s also quite the goofy personality, guaranteed to keep you smiling with her silly antics. While Sassy enjoys playing with other dogs, she does best in structured or supervised settings. Sometimes her enthusiasm and playful energy can be a bit much for other dogs, so a home where she’s the only pet would help her thrive. Sassy is doing well with house training when kept on a consistent schedule. She would do best in a home where someone is around for a good portion of the day to give her the attention, guidance, and companionship she enjoys. Sassy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines, and she’s ready to find her forever home. ❤️ The Adoption Fee is $375.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
