Archer is a snuggly boy who absolutely loves the dog park, play time, and going on long walks - every day is a new adventure for him. His foster says that it's hard not to be happy when Archer is around.
He is also a master of sleeping and cuddling: after his morning walk, he curls up on the couch or back in his crate to take a long day's nap.
If you're in a couch potato mood and prefer to stay in for the day, Archer is more than happy to cuddle with you as you watch your favorite movie or TV show.
Archer loves to meet new people and especially loves his toys and outdoor time - he does well on a leash and makes a great running partner, too! This smart boy has learned house training and tons of words, like paw, sit, down, heel, drop it, wait, spin, and come.
Archer is protective of his toys, so he'd do best in a home without young kids.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
