APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 66#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash-trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Prim-at-a-glance: 1-1/2 year old, female, spayed, Boxer/Terrier mix, 45 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Prim takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  Prim was abandoned by her owners at a boarding facility that was doing her training.  Prim is now in a LOVEPAWS foster home and she is a delight to have around!  She responds to basic commands such as sit, stay and shake hands.  Prim could use more experience socializing with other dogs in a low-key environment as she is quite vocal when she sees other dogs on her walks around town, however, she is easy to walk on the leash.  Once she's given the opportunity to get that leash unhooked in a safe, fenced area she loves to run and run as fast as she can. Zoom, zoom, zoom! When it's time to settle down inside the house, squeaky toys are her favorite.  Well, food and treats are her favorite, but then squeaky toys if no food is being offered. Prim would do best in a home with a fenced yard so she can run to her heart's content. She's cautious meeting new people and while adults understand to take it slow, young kids may try to rush the BFF thing so older, respectful kids would be a better fit. She hasn't been tested with cats.  Prim can be shy and skittish but she is gentle and loving and makes a great movie or game-watching couch buddy. Story
Eddie-at-a-glance: 4-1/2 year old, male, neutered Boxer mix, 46 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Eddie takes monthly flea/tick/heart worm prevention. Eddie is a sweet guy just longing for your love! Eddie came to LOVEPAWS when his loving family was no longer able to afford to care for him or his Shih Tzu borther, so we took them both in. His brother was adopted, now it's Eddie's turn!  Eddie's super power is his desire to please you! He wants to be your right-hand pup and works hard to earn that position by being a good listener. Learning something new takes a few tries but then he becomes a pro!  He's looking for a family to give him kisses and  belly rubs and to tell him how cute he is AND  what a good boy he is. He eats every last bit of it up! Eddie is great at matching his energy with his surroundings but he's more of a chill boy that prefers a quiet home. His dream day would be a chill day spent with his human, topping it off with a snooze in his crate with his favorite blankie. Eddie is 100% love bug and is dedicated to his people. Eddie can live with another dog or be the only dog in his home. He's flexible!  A fenced yard would be great for him to play fetch in, but it's not required. He really enjoys his walks! He needs a home with older respectful kids ages 11+.  Eddie has not been tested around cats, but we think he could be a nuisance to them so we want a no-cat home for him. Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here!April 29, 2024, 8:11 am

Story
male, approx. 2 years old, 40 lbs Personality: outgoing, playful, independent, goofy/funny, loyal, snuggler, rambunctious, energetic, and good running partner. Archer is a sweetheart who absolutely loves to play and go on long walks. The dog park is his favorite destination, and he is learning the joys of fetch! Once Archer has gotten his excited energy out, he happily settles into his crate and enjoys napping there or on the couch. Archer sees all humans as friends and is particularly excited when they come to greet him. After saying hello, all Archer wants to do is be near his friends - snuggling at your feet, on the couch, or in his crate if you are nearby. Archer has settled in well to city life and has learned all of the new sounds like sirens and honks. He appears to be house trained and crate trained. He also does well with the older resident dogs in his foster home. All in all, Archer is looking for an adopter who will take him on adventures and then let him curl up beside them. Could that be you? Apply today to meet Archer. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Personality: trustworthy, patient, smart, playful, loyal, affectionate, adaptable, calm, independent, quiet, and snuggler. Meet Geneva, the essence of affection and independence rolled into one furry companion. She's the perfect blend of sweet and self-assured, craving human attention while also enjoying her own space. Geneva is house-trained and thrives without the need for crating. With an easygoing attitude towards food and a love for plush toys and post-dinner zoomies, she'd be a delightful addition to your home. Geneva's intelligence shines through in her remarkable response to training: she knows the words "sit", "paw", "back with me," and more! She is also steadily improving on her concerned reaction to seeing other dogs while out on walks. This clever girl is a quick learner, motivated by treats and eager to master new words. Geneva's moderate energy level ensures she's always ready for a walk or a game of fetch, making her a terrific partner for both relaxation and adventure. Apply today to meet Geneva! Geneva was sponsored by an anonymous donor from Alexandria. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event he will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Hi! I'm King. I am loving, loyal, and - ok, you made me say it - very handsome. Oh, and did I mention that I am looking for a best friend to adopt me? I like leash walks, especially in calm and quiet spaces where we can spend some quality time together without the crowds. But, I may get distracted by all of the wonderful smells because I really do need to put my nose on everything to explore the wonders of the world. Not only am I curious, I am up for a challenge! I like to run across streams, jump on logs, and hike the trails. I have lots of energy so will be sure to help keep up with your exercise plan. I even like to get in a jog from time to time. And, not to brag, but I am pretty smart. But, for the sake of all those delicious treats, I will pretend that it takes me time to master new tricks and skills. One more thing to tell you. I like to talk when I play. I hope you will come to meet me so we can play together forever, just you and me!

These pups are in Rockville, Maryland too!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Taylor Pit, a three year old 57 pound solid brick of a low rider girl, absolutely LOVES her people! Taylor is living happily with her Foster's two bully mixes, but we know she would also thrive as your one-and-only best companion ever. She has SO much love to give whoever is lucky enough to bring her home! Taylor rocked her recent vacation to the beach for what we suspect was her first time seeing the ocean, and she will happily be your ride or die on any and all road trips. In Taylor's world nothing's better than a good couch snuggle - she has mastered the art of potato-ing! - as close to you as possible, all the time, and for as much time as you have to s spend couch-ing with her. She is wonderful on a lead with her pack members but reactive when she sees dogs she doesn't know - she's working on this - so she would love a quiet home without a lot of environmental activity and ideally a fenced yard. This amazing girl is housebroken and crate trained and great loose in the house - ready to complete your family. Apply now! Taylor Pit is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Gee is the epitome of a distinguished gentleman. He carries himself with grace and charm, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a gentle demeanor. He particularly enjoys belly rubs and snuggles, reveling in the affection and attention of his human companions. Gee thrives in serene environments where he can relax and enjoy the company of those he loves. He also has a mind of his own, making sure that you know he expects certain things- like treats after he comes inside- keep up, people! He is quiet as a mouse but also will let you know when it's time to take a break from what you're doing and give him some attention. Gee is looking for a home with limited stairs or an apartment building with an elevator, as he prefers to avoid a large number of stairs due to his age and some arthritis. He would thrive in a household where he can enjoy leisurely walks and relaxation. He's good with kids, dogs and cats and would do best with someone who can appreciate his refined nature and provide him with the love and attention he deserves. Trust us, it's not hard to want to be that person once you meet him! Gee is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I Adopted Molly from a local animal shelter in 2015 when she was 4 years old. From what I was told from the animal shelter at the time is that she used to breed by terrible backyard breeders in a crowded space. For Molly's next home I would like for her to be with someone who is somewhat active outdoors so that she can run around and play more than what I was able to do with her the past couple years. Molly does love adults and food so she would be the worst guard dog. (SHE DOES NOT GET ALONG WITH OTHER DOGs) (NOT SURE IF SHE IS GOOD WITH KIDS, I WOULD RATHER NOT RISK IT)
