Gibbs is so chill! Do you love spoiling your furry friends with fun toys and treats? Gibbs would gladly be your pampered pooch, chewing and chomping his way to your heart. He is crate-trained to snuggle up with a good toy and a bone when his fosters leave for the afternoon. One of his favorite summer treats is an ice cube! Gibbs gets along well with his foster family’s cats, too! He also shares a home with another dog, birds, and a sugar glider, and he is not bothered by them either. He was also great with a neighbor’s puppy when they met. One of his favorite places to hang out is on the couch with his foster dog sister and his foster parents. At two years old and 55 pounds, Gibbs is extremely chill and low-energy for a young dog. A home where he can learn to play more and enjoy a fenced yard would be ideal. His foster family takes him out on a leash for potty breaks and exercise. He is a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up fairly quickly. It’s unknown how Gibbs would react to young children, but he would likely be shy at first. Just one look at his great big eyes, and you’ll fall in love with this sweet boy. Want to learn more about Gibbs? Fill out the adoption application at istodaymydayrescue.org. Gibbs is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm-negative. His adoption fee is $325. He is being fostered in the DeSoto, Missouri area in Jefferson County.

Story
Hi! My name is Baxter, and I'm a Boxer mix looking for my forever family! I'm having a great time in my foster home, where I'm learning all about crate training and working hard on my potty training. I'm a smart little guy and getting better every day. I love running and playing with the other dogs, exploring the backyard, and burning off all my puppy energy. After a day of fun, I'm more than happy to curl up for cuddles and soak up all the love. I'm looking for a family that will include me in their adventures.  Are you looking for a forever companion, are you the one? Baxter’s adoption fee is $300.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs, we are only guessing at breed mix.  August 12, 2026, 9:01 am

Story
Buddha is a very sweet dog. The only thing she loves more than snuggles is playing with toys. She is extremely energetic and does have separation anxiety. She was in a traumatic situation when she was about a year old and had to have double hip surgery. She hasn’t had further hip issues since then. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. She is not aggressive and loves other dogs. However she is very dominant and would do best in a one dog home or with another dog that isn’t dominant. She is potty trained with a bell at the door. However on rainy days, she doesn’t like to go out and will sometimes have accidents if not let out immediately. She is good with people but hasn’t had much experience around kids or cats.

Story
I’m looking for help rehoming my 4-year-old Boxer through a reputable rescue. This has been an extremely difficult decision for our family, but we believe it’s the safest and most responsible one. Our Boxer is healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations, and has been a loved member of our family. He is affectionate with us, enjoys being around people he knows, and generally does well once visitors are inside the home. The reason we are seeking placement is we frequently host other families. Several months ago, there was one incident where a neighborhood kid tried to enter our home and our kid went to stop him. During the exchange our dog gave what appeared to be a warning bite. The bite did not puncture the skin, there was no blood, and no medical treatment needed. There have been no other bite incidents. We are committed to transparency on this. We are not looking to simply surrender him to a shelter. Our goal is to find him the right home through an experienced foster or rescue.
