Story
Meet Billy — The Sweetest Little Fighter   If you remember Billy came to us on the brick of death after he was found abandoned and on his own trying to survive. He spent a lot of the first couple weeks fighting and honestly, we weren’t sure he would make it. But he did and now he is thriving!! Billy was diagnosed with Hypoparathyroidism which effects the breakdown of calcium, good news it is very treatable with just a pill a day! Even better the pills are very affordable! Now that Billy is healthy, he is ready to find his forever family.     Billy is a 1–3-year-old, 35-pound Boxer mix with a heart as big as his goofy grin. He may be mostly blind and deaf, but don’t let that fool you — this boy is brave, determined, and full of life. Billy navigates the world with curiosity, sweetness, and a whole lot of courage.   Billy is still working on potty training and learning the layout of his foster home, but he tries so hard and improves every day. His disability hasn’t slowed down his determination — he’s truly a little fighter with a huge heart.   Billy would do great in a patient, loving home that understands his special needs and appreciates his courage and resilience. He gets along well with other animals and would thrive in a calm environment with people who are ready to cheer him on as he continues to learn and grow. He deserves the best!December 12, 2025, 9:39 am

Story
Yesterday marked Rosie's 1 year anniversary being with us. That's 365 days she's waited for a forever home. Although her foster mom loves her she'd love even more Rosie finding her family. Please share our sweet girl! Rosie is a 4-5 year old boxer/pittie mix who is as sweet as they come. She loves all people and especially adores children. She would do best as an only pet (no dogs or cats) and will offer unconditional love, greetings with toys, and tail wags. She’s completely house trained, never having a single accident since rescued, just an all around great girl. If you’re looking to add an incredibly loving pup to your home please fill out an application.   Her adoption fee has been sponsored for an approved application! Story
Rosé is a 5-year-old sweetheart who was recently surrendered to Open Door through no fault of her own. This silly, playful girl is as friendly as they come and is ready to find her new forever family. In her previous home, Rosé lived happily with dogs, cats, and children, so she’s well-practiced at being part of a busy household. She loves to play and has a joyful, goofy personality that’s sure to make you smile. Rosé is also crate trained, which can make transitioning into a new home a little easier. Her former family did share a couple of quirks to keep in mind: Rosé has been known to dig under fences, so she’ll need a secure yard or supervised playtime outside. She also sometimes gets a bit queasy in the car, but with patience and short trips, she may improve over time. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who’s already experienced with family life, Rosé might just be your perfect match. Come meet her, you won’t be able to resist her charm! She is currently in a foster home while she works on putting on weight, so you will need to set an appointment to see her. If interested, please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
