I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's Pacino's favorite phrase. The adoption deal is simple: a roof over his head, a cold dish of water, daily meals and treats, plus an abundance of love. What? It's a good deal! Pacino, now over a year old, has become a true Dogfather. He is well-behaved, happy-go lucky, is very handsome, and has a wonderful, playful nature; he fits seamlessly into any family. His lineage boasts a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world whose business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you.. He's a potty-trained and crate-trained gentleman, but he still has a penchant for chewing. He adores treats and toys, but can go through them quickly. Proper and slow introductions to other dogs are essential. Pacino would thrive best with older kids. Join the legacy and give Pacino the family he deserves. After all, a dog like him is an offer you can't refuse. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
🐾 Meet Poochie! 🐾 Poochie is a sweet and loving 2-year-old female Boxer mix with a medium-sized build and a heart full of affection. She is one of those dogs who truly loves her people. Poochie adores kids and thrives on human connection, making her a wonderful family companion. She does best with slow, thoughtful introductions to other pets, but once she feels comfortable, she does beautifully. In her current foster home, Poochie lives peacefully with other animals and has even shown she can coexist calmly with guinea pigs. She just needs a little time to settle in and feel safe. Poochie is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and preventions, so she is ready to start her next chapter right away. She would do great in a home that offers patience, love, and continued positive introductions as she builds trust. 💜 Good with people and kids 💜 Good with other animals after slow introductions 💜 Sweet, gentle, and loving Adoption Fees: • $200 Local Adoption (Texas) • $450 Out-of-State Adoption (includes transport) If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fit beautifully into a family environment, Poochie may be your perfect match. 🐶💕

Story
Hi, I’m George (Georgie)!🐶✨ Full-time good boy. Part-time toddler wrangler. I’m a professional napper, expert snack detector, and self-appointed neighborhood squirrel patrol. I live with my 2.5-year-old foster human—he’s sticky, loud, and a little clumsy, but I love him. We’re best friends. I help him eat things he drops (on purpose, I swear), and he helps me sneak onto the furniture. It’s a beautiful partnership. My hobbies include: 🦴 Chewing things that were definitely not meant for chewing 🚨 Barking at absolutely nothing 💤 Dramatic flops in high-traffic areas 💖 Following my tiny human like a shadow with a tail I take my job as emotional support floof very seriously. If you sit down, I will sit on you. If you’re eating, I will stare into your soul. And if you ask “Who’s a good boy?”—spoiler alert: it’s me. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Basically the cutest panda bear you've ever seen, I don't know what else to say. 4. What do you like to eat? Absolutely anything! I am not picky about my food. 5. What kind of personality do you have? I am silly, goofy, funny, loving, playful. I've been told I'm a cartoon character. 6. Describe your perfect day. Do you know any tricks? No tricks really, but I am working on my manners and things like climb, sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking. 9. What scares you? New experiences can worry me sometimes, but I usually figure it out pretty fast and am good to go. 10. Do you like cats? To chase, very much. 11. Do you have any doggie best friends? Where do you hang out when you are home alone? I always hang out in my crate when my foster mom isn’t home or can't keep an eye on me. 17. Where do you sleep? I always sleep in my crate at night, but while my family is home, I will lay on my bed or snuggle on the couch. 18. What do you love about your foster family? I love that my foster family is so dedicated to meeting all my needs. I am grateful that Even Chance rescued me! 19. What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents? I was living in a church, praying for a miracle. Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they grow up. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home. If I sound like the perfect pit bull for your and your family and you are interested in giving me a forever home, do not hesitate! Please fill out an application here and my foster family will contact you to schedule an in-person meet and greet. We look forward to meeting any and all interested applicants.

Story
To apply to adopt Linus please visit: https://evenchance.org/adopt/adoption-application/ For questions about Linus, please email us at info@evenchance.org What is your name? Hi! My name is Linus! How old are you? I'm around 2-years-old What do you look like? I am a big handsome pit bull mix. I have mostly white fur with light tan speckles and patches. What do you like to eat? I love all food… I love it so much that it makes my teeth chatter in anticipation sometimes. What kind of personality do you have? I am a social boy. I love to say hi to new people and I did excellent playing with dogs at the shelter as well as a few girlfriends that visit me at my foster home. I am DEDICATED to my person, right now my person is my foster mom, I like to follow her everywhere and be right next to her when its my turn to hang out in the house. I love walks, LOVE THEM. My foster mom is teaching me that cars are not meant for chasing and neither are the geese at the park. I am doing really good listening to the rules, but I still have room for improvement she says. We work on my leash walking around exciting things almost every day. I LOVE to play with toys, train, lay on the couch and chew bone and help my foster mom do things around the house. Describe your typical day: I am very much a boy of routine. I am a healthy mix of energy and lazy. On a perfect day I wake up and eat breakfast and take a walk to the park. During the day, depending on who is home, I rotate between chilling in my large kennel and hanging out in the house with my foster family. I love playtime and training in the evening and I am a perfect angel in my kennel at night. What is your favorite toy? I LOVE TOYS. I play fetch like a champ. My foster mom taught me how to catch frisbees, so that is my all-time new favorite game. I am a big strong chewer, I love chewing on my moose paddles, Goughnuts stick and Nylabone. Do you know any tricks? I can sit! I know “Climb” and I am getting better at staying on it until I am told “free” I am learning “down” and “heel” too! Oh, and I learned “go around” for the Frisbee throw. Do you like cats? Unfortunately, I can’t help myself and if someone didn’t stop me, I would choose to chase cats (and ducks, geese, etc), even when I know better, so no cats friends for me. Do you have any doggie best friends? I love playing in the backyard with my friends Vada and Nova, they are bossy female pit bulls that like to yell at me and then chase me which I love, I wish they would never stop. My housemate Luna is boss and she picks and chooses when we can play, I learned to respect that and we just play sometimes when she feels like it. Then, when she is done playing she yells at me and I take the hint and go about my business. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? Going anywhere and everywhere with my person. How is your health? I have great health. I have been getting some hives during allergy season, but other than that, I am young and healthy! Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? I live with a foster dad, mom, 2 school-aged human kids and 4 other pit bulls. Where do you hang out when you are home alone? I hang out in my crate when I’m home alone. Where do you sleep? I usually spend the night my crate. What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents? Even Chance took me into their rescue from St. Louis County Animal Control (APA Olivette). Animal Control rescued me as a stray, I was in pretty rough shape at first but I have come a long way thanks to everyone that helped me. Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they spend time in our homes.
