Story
I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer keep me. I am a sweetie pie and I have done well with some other dogs in monitored play groups. It is unknown how I might behave around cats. I`ll need slow, monitored introductions to new people or pets in a home. Story
Brief Liam is a dapper dude with a head as round and smooth as a honeydew melon and eyes like golden quarters. He is a boxer and Staffordshire terrier mix that has been with us the past year. Liam is looking for another lucky person/family for mutually beneficial, loving companionship. Liam is a cool dog if he had to be summarized in one word. He’s obedient to and deferential to human instruction. He loves to snuggle and cuddle especially on the couch and in bed. He loves a walk/bursts of trotting and also rides in the car. He is E collar trained and is also generally obedient off leash. He's a favorite wherever he goes. Liam is a confident boy when meeting other dogs. He gets along with other non-reactive dogs. He has a high prey drive. Liam has an adaptable nature and willll likely do well in most environments. He could be a solo dog or would do well with another non-reactive dog in the home - especially a female one. Foster to adopt sponsored. Come and meet LIAM!

Story
Queenie has had a tough life, being overbred and likely caged. She is extremely affectionate and her favorite spot is to be a snuggly decorative pillow leaning on you, nuzzling her head into yours - she cannot get enough. She would be a wonderful support/comfort animal with her hands on affection. Queenie gets along with the other fosters in the home, though she does exhibit some intolerance to female dogs in which case she pins them on their backs until they behave. This may be a result of her being a mother. She likes to walk and is crate trained, and E collar trained. She doesn’t mind being alone in my bedroom, which is her preferred space. She is extremely sweet with all humans, approaching them calmly, looking for love, with her little nubby tail going like an allegro metronome. Queenie is available and is sponsored for foster to adoption. Telling me this loving lady. You won't be disappointed.

Story
Meet Queen, a charming and sassy sidekick who`s equal parts snuggle bug, road trip companion, and toy-loving goofball. She’s all about her people and would happily follow you from room to room, or better yet, hop in the car for your next adventure. Queen is a professional passenger—calm, happy, and convinced that every ride needs her royal presence. She`s also potty trained, crate aware (though she’ll politely bark when she’s ready to come out), and great on leash with just a little pulling when she`s excited. Queen recently took on a 7-mile hike at Eno River State Park and absolutely crushed it. Suspension bridges? No problem. Crowds of school kids? Handled like a pro. She navigated everything with confidence and grace—earning some laughs and a few “Scooby-Doo” comments along the way. At home, Queen is a toy and treat-motivated gal who loves to chew on bones and play with her stash of goodies throughout the day. She gets along well with the calm senior dog in her foster home and minds her business like the classy lady she is. She`s also great with kids, though she prefers to enjoy her meals and bones without interruptionWhile Queen has some minor mobility quirks—likely due to a hip or leg issue—she doesn’t let it slow her down much. She handles steps with care and is happiest on flat ground where she can stay close to you. In the backyard, she’ll stick right by your side and comes when called. Queen is a sweet, spunky, and loyal dog who’s looking for a home where she can be part of the action, soak up affection, and chew to her heart’s content. If you’re searching for a loving, adventurous companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Queen just might be your match!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please be sure to click on Cassi's photo to learn all about her, and the home we are seeking for her placement.Cassi is a very sweet and sensitive girl who is looking for a laid back family to call her own.  She would love another dog in her forever home that is confident and well behaved, to help show her that new things aren't scary.  She does have some anxiety, and is currently taking medications that are making a huge difference for her.  She would do best living in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient with her, and willing to provide a consistent environment for her to thrive.  She would do well with kitties, but they should a dog savvy cat would be best.  Cassi can be vocal, so she would not do well in high density housing.   Cassi needs humans who are not gone for long hours.  All humans in her forever home must be 12 years of age, or older.  She requires a fenced in yard (physical fencing no invisible fences please).  She is up to date on preventative medications, vaccines and has been spayed and micro chipped too. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 10:18 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please click on Buddy's photo to read his bio prior to applying. Buddy is a really sweet, goofy guy. He loves to run around his big yard and play with his canine sister and brothers, he enjoys going for walks and loves to snuggle with his humans. He has come a long way so far, but still has some training to do. He can be quite the bouncy little boy when there is food to be had, and is still learning to take treats gently.  His forever family will need to ensure he continues to work on his impulse control. Buddy would do best with another playful canine in the home to run and wrestle with. Preferably a female, as he tends to get overly excited when he plays with the larger, male dog in his foster home. He is able to adapt his play style based on each individual dog, but when he gets overly excited he needs a break in his crate.  He has met kitties too, but would do best with dog savvy cats that will set limits.   Buddy requires a forever home with experienced dog owners who can be patient and continue with his training. Children should be over 10 years of age and a fenced yard (not electric) is a must. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 15, 2025, 12:43 pm
