Story
Boxer + Pit Bull Terrier Mix 10 years old Male 69 pounds Kids · Yes Dogs · Yes Cats · No Hey there, sonny, it’s Tony. It seems I have found myself in quite a pickle, and I am looking for my chance at true love and a new home to spend my golden years. If anyone deserves it, I sure do, I am great with other dogs and sturdy children too, but cats get this gramps grouchy. Sure, my hips get sore and my breath ain’t what it used to be, just the normal stuff that comes with age—it happens to the best of us! And you best speak up, sonny, I can hardly hear ya, but darn tootin’ can I play with some toys like a whipper snapper! I’m also well behaved, housebroken, crate trained, love to snuggle, and according to my foster mom in Maui, “I don’t have a single bad habit.” Tony here has been a loving loyal companion to someone for 10 years—don’t you think I deserve the same now in my time of need? My adoption fee is $160 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Blair's pouty little face totally charmed us when we saw her in a foster home in California seeking rescue placement. She had been in foster a couple months and was so hopeful a rescue would offer her a spot- so we did! * Adoption fee waived to help Blair find a good home. - Approximately 3 years old and 56lbs - Possibly a Boxer/Pit mix with that underbite and pouty lip - Great mix of happy to see people, active, but also able to chill out at home - Loves to play tug and with her ball - Crate trained - Reactive on leash when seeing other dogs (not people) and will bark and pull towards other dogs. This is improving! Blair wears and Gentle Leader which helps with any pulling. She is working on leash reactivity seeing other dogs in her foster home using positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning. She gets lots of treats on walks when she gives her foster mom engagement and does not bark at passing dogs. - Good with other dogs and has lived with 13 other dogs in her California foster home. We have not seen her with small breed dogs but she has been with puppies smaller than her and adult dogs around her size or larger and has been calm and respectful and does not seek any conflict with other dogs. A male dog would be best as we see the most success with opposite sex pairings. - Loves kids! - Likely no cats - Previously a momma dog so her mammary area is still shrinking up post-partum - Very sweet temperament and a loving dog with good vibes - Easy energy in the home and nice house manners - Blair has started taking Trazadone 50mg as needed to help her relax and not be hypervigilant and sometimes barky at noises. She is doing so much better and her foster mom has opted to only give it to her occasionally. It may turn out that she does not need it at all. Blair is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm preventions. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our four partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin. Adoption fee waived to help Blair find a good home. Meet Laika! https://youtu.be/PbqVh7KGJjI See why Meagan loves Laika: https://youtube.com/shorts/MY3yj1W-HMk?feature=share -FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL - AFFECTION DRIVEN -POTTY TRAINED This ridiculously happy girl is going to be an absolutely BELOVED family member for some lucky home! Laika is approximately 2-3 years old and 59 pounds of smiles! This first time mom found herself alone and pregnant in January when a kind Houstonian took her in. After raising her 9 puppies, Laika is ready for a home of her own! Laika is good with dogs- Our evaluation team had 4 other dogs in the pen with her! Typically during pups' assessment we take it easy and start them out slowly with 1 or 2 dogs. No need to with Laika! She's just a social butterfly!! Laika is good with kids age 8+ and really adores her time with people big and small! Laika is fully Potty trained! She's a bit strong on a leash (so many things to smell!) So she'll need someone willing to help her improve her leash skills so she can comfortably accompany you everywhere you go! No problems with house training but she has a lot of energy so would do best with another dog. Currently fostered in Texas- Laika is hoping to be transport eligible soon June and on her way to the PNW! Don't miss out on this amazing girl! Oreo loves his car rides, he loves to be around his human. He is a rescue dog and is looking for a family to make his life complete. He is a dog that is good inside a home and is great around other dogs and people. He is good around small dogs and cats too! He loves everyone that handles him, he would just need extra help on walks. He does great on a gentle leader when out on walks. He is a little more reserved when first meeting new dogs, but he warms up well to really playful dogs. He can play with really playful dogs but he prefers to be around his human more. He loves taking long walks, he plays great with people and will hop around when he is really excited. He is great around kids and can cuddle up with the family every night. We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. Story
Benny was rescued in Texas and has adapted really well to being the best boy. He is the sweetest pit Bull mix you’ll meet. He loves people and loves to cuddle and play. He is 4.5-5 years old and is house trained. He’s really smart. Due to a new career shift that requires traveling for weeks at a time, Benny’s mom has made the heartbreaking decision to try and give him a better life by rehoming him with someone who can really take care of him (and she is very open to an open adoption!). He is aggressive with other dogs and very territorial. He needs someone with a yard, no other pets (at first), and dedicated to getting him better behaviorally trained. His behavior is not why he is getting rehomed — it is not his fault. Please help him find a real forever home. With rehoming, Benny needs to take his things! you will get the following: - two beds - food and water tray - water dispenser - food to last 2+ weeks - plenty of toys and treats.

Story
Jeter turned four in August. He is truly the most loyal, sweet, loving, cuddly pit bull you’ll ever meet. He is not without issues, as we all are. In 2020, two of our dogs got in a very serious fight. Jeter went to a live in trainer for five weeks. He is VERY well behaved, but still reactive. He listens perfectly and does not misbehave with a strong authority figure who is able to use some physical discipline. He would do best in a home with no other animals, and no young children. We love him and it breaks our heart to re-home this sweet boy. With three dogs and a one year old child, it is not working for our family.
