HI - I'M CHARM! I'm a sweet and playful 1-year-old Boxer mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter. I'm a happy girl who loves people and other dogs. I'm very playful, sweet, and full of life! I weigh only about 50 lbs and would make a great dog for an active single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I would do well with another dog in the home. Please email for an application.

Story
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM BENJI! Benji is an almost 4-year-old Boxer-Pit mix in need of a forever home. He's currently in a foster home in Oregon. Benji has had a rough go of it in his short life - he was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and later was attacked by another male dog. He is almost healed from his attack though looks a little rough around the edges during the healing process. Benji is very much a couch potato dog in that he loves to lounge on the sofa or sleep on your bed. He has done fine around other dogs, but given his recent trauma we think he may be best as the only dog where he can get all of the deserved love and attention. He's very affectionate, and loves belly rubs. Benji is also an active, strong boy so he needs a strong owner, and someone who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. A big, fenced yard would be a plus, but is not a necessity. He does have a prey drive for squirrels and bunnies, so probably would do best in a home without cats. Overall he's a mellow, easygoing boy. He weighs about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
I'M GRAYSON, a sweet 6-year-old small blue & white Boxer-Pit mix and I need a foster or forever home! I weigh only 45 to 50 lbs. I love people and do well with some dogs. About two years ago I was diagnosed with a double hip dysplasia, but I'm doing great now. I'm simply on inexpensive over-the-counter supplements or dog treats, and I feel good! Now and then I can be a bit touchy on my back hips, but otherwise I'm a normal dog. I am starved for human affection, and I love to go on car rides, walks and other outings. I would do best in a quiet adult-only home with a single person or couple. I keep getting passed by and am sad that I'm not in a home. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Howdy partners! I'm Rocky, the sweetest meatball in the Wild West! I started my journey at Animal Aid after my previous family had a baby who was very allergic to me. The transition has been a little... Rocky ... but I've proven myself to be the most loving, goofy partner in crime to the new people in my life. My nervousness around strangers can easily be worked through with patience, yummy treats, and a good head scratch. Don't be surprised if I sound the alarm when danger approaches our home! I just want to make sure my favorite people are safe. I haven't spent a ton of time with other animals, but I'm very respectful as long as they give me my space and let me warm up to them slowly. I will need to meet any animals in the home before adoption. Older, respectful kids are also totally in my social wheelhouse. I love to play and cuddle with my favorite people - just be prepared for a tank in your lap. My favorite toys are squeaky balls and anything that I'm allowed to chew up and shred. I could chew all day long, but I'm great about knowing what I am not allowed to destroy. I'm looking for a home with either a fenced yard or a quiet neighborhood. I'm still working through some mild fear of the sights and sounds that I encounter on leashed walks outside of my comfort zone. I've been getting very adventurous, but loud noises are still spooky. A personal yard to zoom and play would be perfect for keeping me in the best mental and physical shape. Even better if you're home more than you're away so that we can hang out all the time. There's a reason that I'm a staff favorite, and it's because I have the biggest heart in the world. Because I may take a bit to warm up to a new environment and routine, the Animal Aid team is happy to provide a foster-to-adopt arrangement and cover initial training resources to make sure I have the best chance of success! Apart from some meds I take for environmental allergies, I'm very healthy and ready to take on the world. I'm in a foster home so please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org to meet me.My estimated birthdate is 9/1/2020. 75lbs.

Story
Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart, this one lives there. Cue the music for My Girl, My Girl, My Girl, talking about My Girl...... Cherie aka Mya! She is loyal, gentle, wise beyond her years, and she's the kind of dog who seems to know what you need before you do. Whether that's curling up next to you after a long day at work or being that nurturing loving presence to your kids. Mya is always there. She's the nanny dog of every family's dream too and loves being a family dog. She watches over the little ones, soothes them with a soft nudge or kiss, and places herself beautifully right between chaos and calm. She the kind of dog that counts heads before settling in for a nap, who knows the sound of a baby's cry before you do, and who's always there to be a listening ear for those sweet baby talks. She's not just a dog, she's YOUR heart dog and YOUR kids heart dog. Watch her video and fall in love with this sweet soul: https://youtu.be/rJHC7DsOEMQ?si=FOJ7GGPLchX45x31 Mya is believed to be a boxer/pittie mix approximately 8 years young, only weighs 45 lbs pounds. She's the perfect medium size, not too big and not too small. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We can promise you that Mya is the sweetest little angel. Mya currently shares her home with a family that has small children, and she ADORES them! The tiny humans she is currently fostered with are ages 6, 3, and 3 months. She is so incredibly gentle and loves being on the receiving end of their kisses, hugs, and giggles galore! She even lets them dress her in cute little outfits! Mya also extends her love and gentleness even towards other children as well. When other kids come over or when she sees other kids out on their walks she is just as loving with them as she is to the ones she is fostered with. She is probably the closest definition to an actual nanny dog. How she is with kids, really is the sweetest thing ever. Mya is even great to take on family walks throughout the neighborhood or local park. She is so easy to walk on a leash and rarely ever pulls. She is so easy that even the 6 year old is able to walk her. Mya also has no issues walking side by side to a stroller as well nor does she ever get in the way of the stroller. Mya also peacefully shares her home with cats and another pup, but she would much prefer to be the princess of her castle and soak up all the love for herself. Nothing short of what she absolutely deserves! That being said, the right family with the right dog and/or cat, could be a possibility. She is the perfect companion for a family that has slowed down a bit, or who prefer the quiet life of couch snuggling and binge watching marathons. Cherie rides well in the car, and is fully house and crate trained! Though she may protest just a little because her favorite thing is to be out with her people! Mya's dream home would have a backyard out in the suburbs away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Not that she minds the loud noises or the crowds of city life, she just a relaxed and calm lady we think would prefer living in a residential neighborhood and would probably love her own yard to sunbathe in on those warm spring and summer days. She also gets excited and does these adorable little jumps to go outside too which is another reason why we prefer to see her go to a home with a yard. Ultimately, wherever she ends up calling "home", Mya is poised to spend her Golden Years giving all of the love and quiet companionship that Senior dogs are especially known for. We are willing to test My Girl Cherie, aka Mya with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Lincoln is beautiful, sweet, cuddly, and very smart. He is very food motivated, which makes him an incredibly fast learner. He currently knows sit, shake, down, come, wait, crate, bone, touch, upstairs/downstairs, various stations (kitchen, living room, bed, etc), and hug. Link spends most of his days cozy on the couch, but also enjoys being outside, running, playing, chewing, chasing, hiking, or just going to home depot. Link is crate trained, house trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He can easily go 8-10 hours free roaming when needed. Stinky Link does not get along with other dogs, and would do best in an environment without other pets or small children. His owner should have experience with big dog ownership.

Hi, meet Mia, a 2yr old cutie weighing in at about 35-40lbs. She has a beautiful grey and white short-haired coat and sweet brown eyes. Mia is a great girl, loving people, kids and puppies. She hasn't met adult dogs yet so we're not sure about that. Mia is very smart and has even learned how to close the door behind her when told to do so (make sure watch her video!). There's so many tricks ahead she's dying to be taught to perform. She's a high energy dog so you'll have a great time playing, hiking, adventures or just walks and cuddles. She is spayed, vaccinated and chipped so get your application in ASAP to meet Mia! Currently being fostered in Bakersfield area, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and other close by states, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt her

Story
Frankie is a 3 year old female pit mix and 50 lbs. She is a wonderful hiker and greets other dogs with respect. She gets along well with our relatives larger and smaller dogs. She also gets along great with our cats that like to snuggle her. Frankie is crate trained and house trained. Frankie was adopted from Texas. Unfortunately, her owner is experiencing chronic health issues that damper her exercise . She would thrive with an active family and would probably enjoy another dog companion. If you’re interested in giving her a loving home, please respond.
