Story
Oakley is an 8 year old girl who needs a loving home with someone without other pets. Oakley has been raised from a puppy in a home with other pets and has since shown signs of resource guarding towards other pets. She is a very good girl and loves to be loved. She is a dainty girl and is up to date on all of her vaccinations and preventative meds (fleas, tic, etc). She just needs a home where someone will give her the undivided attention she needs . She is crate trained ( knows it as “box”), she is a good listener and knows basic commands.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Meet Primo, a handsome 3-year-old Red Pit Bull with a soul as deep as his beautiful copper coat. 🐾🍂 This sensitive guy is a "gentle soul" in every sense of the word, currently looking for a patient hero who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. ❤️✨ Primo is a bit fearful and finds the big, loud world a little overwhelming right now, so he's searching for a quiet, low-traffic home where he can truly feel safe. 🏠🤫 While he may be shy at first, once he knows he can trust you, he shows his true colors as a loyal and devoted companion. 🐕🌟 With a soft voice, a slow hand, and plenty of yummy treats, Primo will slowly blossom out of his shell, rewarding your kindness with a lifetime of gratitude. 🦴🌈 If you have a calm heart and a cozy corner to share, Primo is ready to find the "forever" peace he deserves. 🐾💖🙏 Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 65 Age: 3yrs 0mths 3wks

Meet Trap, the ultimate "loveable loaf" who is looking for a big-hearted family to match his 100+ lb personality! 🍲 This handsome gentleman is a total "thick king" of pure joy, greeting every day with a helicopter tail-wag and a sunny attitude. ☀️ Because he's a sturdy boy, he can be a bit enthusiastic on the leash, so he's looking for a partner who can lead the way while he works on his manners. He's also on a bit of a "fitness journey" and needs a buddy to help him swap the extra treats for extra walks to keep his joints jumpin'! 🥗 If you have a sturdy sofa and plenty of room for oversized snuggles, Trap is ready to be your new best friend.
