Story
Introducing Beanie, the sweet and snuggly companion you've been searching for! This delightful mama (possibly a Boxer Mix) is thought to be around 3 years old and boasts a beautiful black and brown coat with a charming white chest. Weighing in at 42 pounds, Beanie is the perfect size for both cuddles and companionship. Beanie is the epitome of sweetness and affection. One of Beanie's favorite activities is pretending she's a lap dog. She loves to snuggle close and touch her cheek to yours. This lazy lady loves to lounge, often napping in sunny spots around the house. Despite her laid-back attitude, she does enjoy a bit of playtime. While she might not always bring the ball back during fetch, she loves the chase. Squeaky toys intrigue her, even if she's still figuring out how to play with them. Beanie is very food motivated, which makes her a quick learner. She already knows how to sit like a good girl for a treat and is currently learning commands like down and shake. She's a pro at catching treats mid-air and walks well on a leash, although she prefers shorter strolls as she tires quickly. Beanie has not met any cats or kids, but her calm demeanor suggests she may do well in a home with them. She did great with her foster canine brother and has had positive interactions with other dogs. She is house trained and crate trained. This gentle girl would thrive in a home that appreciates her mellow, loving nature and enjoys cozying up for quiet evenings together. Beanie is available for adoption on or after 05/19/2024. Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

Story
Meet Kenny! This sliver fox was found as a stray, so we don't know what his life was like before the shelter, but we are sure his golden years will be bright! Being that Kenny is a man of a certain age, he does have some medical concerns we would be happy to discuss with any potential adopters. He is a sweet guy who likes giving kisses, eating snacks, being told he's a good boy (which of course he is)! Most of the time, Kenny is a chill dude, but he is not a big fan of medical handling. If this laid-back guy sounds like the perfect match for you, come meet him today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside- 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License #: 1121
