Story
MODESTO, CA: Olive is a shy beauty. This gorgeous Calico would love a quiet, low-activity home with another cat or two to hang with. Olive gets along with senior cats and younger cats in her foster home. She enjoys playing with small fuzzy critters toys and ball toys. Olive communicates with her foster mom when she wants attention with a meow or two and she allows being picked up but doesn't like being held for too long – she's Miss Independent! Olive eats a diet of Fancy Feast and Pura Vita kibble. She likes hanging with her orange tabby brother Leon. Olive was rescued after being dumped at an auto store. She may be a little shy at first, but is a very loving animal and deserves a home of her own.  Olive gets along very well with other cats. She was born in March 2025, approximately. This is a Courtesy Post, and Olive is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at info@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Visit their website at https://catnetworkofstanislaus.org/ . Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.November 8, 2025, 6:14 pm

Please contact Marilyn (marileealong@comcast.net), (925) 788-4397 for more information about this pet. Want to meet? [Fill out the Application], then email it to the contact in this bio. Adopt Cali! Born in 2019, this beautiful 7-year-old calico girl was rescued from a home where the owner's health issues were causing them to forget to feed Cali and accidentally locking her in rooms with aggressive dogs. Thankfully, Cali was not harmed, or worse. Cali is the perfect combination of affectionate without being needy. She has a chill personality and gets along with other cats, but can also be adopted as a singlet. She would do fine with cat-savvy gentle children and in busy or quiet households. She is gentle and sweet at the weekend adoption site, lying on her side and accepting pattings. If you are interested in providing Cali with a loving forever home, contact Marilyn at marileealong@comcast.net or 925-788-4397. Cali is located in Contra Costa County, CA. Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Visiting Room:3Freyja and Sousuke are 10-year-old companions who spent their lives together in a loving home until their guardian's health made it impossible to continue caring for them, and the trauma of losing everything familiar has affected them in starkly different ways. Sweet Sousuke hides under blankets when overwhelmed but quickly reveals his gentle nature once approached—he leans into pets, stretches out for full body rubs, and eagerly accepts treats, showing that beneath his initial timidity is a cat who still trusts humans and just needs reassurance. Protective Freyja, however, has responded to their upheaval by becoming fiercely defensive—growling, hissing, and swatting to keep the unfamiliar world at bay, making it difficult for even experienced volunteers to interact with her. In their previous home, both were described as affectionate lap cats who enjoyed sleeping with their person and playing with feather toys, but the shelter environment has brought out survival behaviors that mask who they really are. These two need exceptionally experienced adopters who understand that frightened senior cats sometimes need very different timelines for recovery, who have the patience to let them decompress for weeks or even months, and who can provide the quiet, adult-only, dog-free sanctuary where Sousuke can relax and Freyja can remember that humans can be trusted. If you have the skills, resources, and patience required to help two displaced seniors find their way back to the cats they used to be, Freyja and Sousuke deserve that chance.  January 30, 2026, 5:40 pm
