Once upon a time there was a very young kitten names Princess Buttercup, living on the streets of Oakland. She was alone and hungry. One day she noticed a couple of older cats nearby talking about how good their dinner was. She followed them until she saw where they were eating. She got so excited and went right up to the plate of food from the nice humans and then wham! hiss!! scratch! yeow! She realized she would have to compete with the other cats who got there first, so she tried to be friends. But it was hard on the street. Then suddenly - the humans started paying more attention to Buttercup. They noticed how cute and friendly she is and how much she likes to cuddle and purr. Buttercup discovered that courage didn’t always mean being the toughest cat at the food plate. Sometimes it meant waiting patiently. Though the streets had taught her caution, her heart stayed soft. After all, every true princess knows that kindness is her greatest strength.

Olive gets along with senior cats and younger cats in her foster home. She enjoys playing with small fuzzy critters toys and ball toys. Olive communicates with her foster mom when she wants attention with a meow or two and she allows being picked up but doesn't like being held for too long – she's Miss Independent! Olive eats a diet of Fancy Feast and Pura Vita kibble. She likes hanging with her orange tabby brother Leon. Olive was rescued after being dumped at an auto store. She may be a little shy at first, but is a very loving animal and deserves a home of her own. Olive gets along very well with other cats. She was born in March 2025, approximately. Meet Penny the sun goddess! I’m a pretty 15-year-old Calico with the most beautiful green eyes. I was born near Serramonte Ford in Colma, I was rescued with my mom and sister in 2011 who were adopted long ago. I’m a good girl, I use the litter box, and the scratching post. I do like to be petted-but on My terms. I spend my day at the center looking for the sun, I love basking and sleeping in the sunshine (the volunteers say I run on solar power) but am happy when the volunteers come in to give me attention and Do like to be doted on. I am an active and incredibly smart girl but can also be quite independent. I need an experienced cat owner (I tend to favor Men) who will give me the time and patience to help adjust to a new home. I maybe alright with children 12 and over that understand the ways of cats. I prefer to be the only cat in the household. Remy Marley has been a loved family pet since May of 2012. Unfortunately because of various circumstances like spacing, family members moving to different places and now my husband being allergic we are no longer able to keep him. We do know that he is an older cat, but still full of love to give and receive. He is currently with my own family of three, but we’ve been keeping him in a room of his own, to prevent my husband having an allergic reaction. And since we are thinking of having another kid, he wouldn’t be able to help with taking care of Remy. We did take him to the vet in 2023 for a check up because he was regurgitating his food, but we have changed his food and that’s made a world of a difference. To my knowledge he is up to date with shots, but we can take him to vet again before adoption. It would mean the world if we can find him a loving place because he’s so deserving of a home that will fully provide for him with lots of love!

Found at 6 weeks old, Uncle Baby Billy was hiding under a car on a very busy street in San Leandro Ca, all alone. I looked around the neighborhood for his mother or litter mates but my search lead me nowhere and with no other option than to bring him home and into foster care. Uncle Baby Billy is a very playful an active kitten looking to find his forever home, where he has room to roam and explore. He would benefit from another kitten/cat in the home that likes to play. He's also VERY dog friendly and plays well with friendly dogs. Because we foster and board dogs, and run a doggie daycare, not all the dogs that come into my home are kitty friendly. This means UBB spends a lot of time in a bedroom by himself, where he is safe away from the dogs. He would much rather be able to spend time with a person or family like a normal kitten, and deserves more than I can provide for him. I want to find him a home where he will thrive! He comes with all of his supplies, food, toys, and litter.
