Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $200 or $350 for a pair   Meet the Pride Kittens – The Girl Squad!       Say hello to Glitter, Skittles, Rainbow, and Tie Dye — a fabulous foursome of 9-10 week old kittens who are bringing sparkle, sass, and snuggles wherever they go! Rescued from the shelter just in time for Pride Month, these little ladies are ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and a whole lot of purring.       Glitter: This petite princess is as snuggly as they come. She loves nothing more than curling up on your chest for a nap and gazing up at you with total adoration. Outgoing and affectionate, she’s a total heart-melter who will charm everyone she meets.       Skittles: Don’t let her shy act fool you — Skittles is secretly a cuddle queen! Once she knows you, she leans into every snuggle with her big, soulful eyes and will happily nap in your arms like the lovebug she is. She will do a little 'you can't catch me' dance but once you pick her up, she is happy as a clam.       Rainbow – The fearless leader of the pack! Rainbow is the bossy big sister of the group, always the first to explore, pounce, and stir up some fun. Her purr motor is louder than life, and her confidence is contagious. She is going to be an adventurer... and her coat is simply gorgeous!       Tie Dye – This gorgeous Tortie is a study in contrast: she’ll act coy one minute and then strut around like she owns the place the next. Full of personality and classic Tortie sass, she keeps things interesting (and hilarious).       These girls would be happy to be adopted out in pairs, but could also be single kittens (though we think it's always better with two!) Whether you’re looking for a snuggler, a goofball, or a sassy sidekick, the Pride Kittens have you covered.       Adopt a little love, a little pride, and a whole lot of purrs — your girl squad is waiting!    June 22, 2025, 9:51 pm

Story
Maple is a sweet, shy girl who’s looking for a patient and loving home. She may take a little time to come out of her shell, but with some gentle encouragement (and a few tasty churros!), she’ll warm up to you in no time. Maple loves her quiet moments and feels most at ease in a calm environment. Once she trusts you, her gentle purrs and soft cuddles will make every moment spent together worth it. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the beauty of slow bonds and quiet afternoons. If you’re ready to give Maple the loving home she deserves, she’ll be forever grateful!

Story
Meet Penny the sun goddess! I’m a pretty 15-year-old Calico with the most beautiful green eyes. I was born near Serramonte Ford in Colma, I was rescued with my mom and sister in 2011 who were adopted long ago. I’m a good girl, I use the litter box, and the scratching post. I do like to be petted-but on My terms. I spend my day at the center looking for the sun, I love basking and sleeping in the sunshine (the volunteers say I run on solar power) but am happy when the volunteers come in to give me attention and Do like to be doted on. I am an active and incredibly smart girl but can also be quite independent. I need an experienced cat owner (I tend to favor Men) who will give me the time and patience to help adjust to a new home. I maybe alright with children 12 and over that understand the ways of cats. I prefer to be the only cat in the household. If you would be interested in meeting Penny, please fill out our online application: https://forms.gle/3CcPeeAKWwQtj1a17

Story
Maya was found abandoned at the end of a driveway in Half Moon Bay. She was in a carrier with another cat, 2 beds and bowls but no other information. Maya is about 6 years old and healthy but needed a dental which she came through like a champ! Maya's fur coloring is really unique. One side and her head and tail are beautifully colored in browns, oranges and black. Her other side is pure white. It is as if she was born before the powers that be were finished painting the other half of her body. Maya loves attention. She will let you know when she has had enough. She does like to get petted and holds up her end of a conversation. She loves to garner all the attention so it would be best if Maya was an only kitty in her home. Is your family looking for a beautiful blue-eyed princess to be a companion for your family? Maya is waiting for you. Please note: Maya would do best as an only childIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1752087711&src=aap]

Story
Hey, I’m Plum — a little sour, a little sweet, just like my name. (Well, a plum, actually.) I might give you a tiny side-eye at first, but don’t be fooled — I’m a softie who purrs the second you start those head scratches. I was intaked as “feral” at the shelter (talk about judging a book by it's cover before even giving me a chance, no thanks), but really, I’m just figuring out this whole “being loved” thing. I’m still warming up to being held—big feelings, you know?—but give me some Churu and watch me lean right into your hand. I purr purr purr, lean into under the chin scratches, and all that. I even lick your fingers when it's an extra good kitty massage! I'm super stunning (I know), but I am looking for a patient family with adults that woud love me for all my calico-ness/torti-tude. Yes, it is a thing, look it up on Google and you'll see. We Calicos can be sweet and sassy at the drop of a dime- so I need someone who will accept me as I am! Wanna meet me? I'm available for meet and greet by appointment. Apply today! =D  MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Go to  https://www.kittenrescue101.org/adopt/available-cats and Click "adopt" on the cat's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process. (NOTE: If the kitten is a bonded pair, do not apply for him/her as a single kitten. These applications will not be considered) We do not adopt out single kittens. Potential adopter must have an existing young kitty 2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days with an appointment time slot. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament. We cannot call back every applicant with an update. You will receive a call if your application is selected. Thank you for your understanding.  ##2446534##

Story
Meet Karaoke, the ultimate bundle of high-energy fun! This playful little dynamo absolutely loves wand toys and can jump and play for hours on end. With a personality that thrives in active homes, Karaoke enjoys being around both kids and other cats, making her the perfect fit for a lively family. While she’s still a bit shy and doesn’t always ask for attention, if you initiate playtime, she’s all in, ready to pounce and entertain. Karaoke likes to be held for a bit, but once she’s ready, she’ll wriggle free to get back to what she loves most—playing! She's nonstop fun and will bring endless joy to a household that can match her energy. Karaoke also has an adorable habit of curling up for naps on top of a large stuffed dinosaur, adding even more charm to her playful personality. After all that jumping and playing, she enjoys a cozy rest with her favorite plush companion. If you're looking for an active, fun-loving kitten who also knows how to relax in style, Karaoke is the one for you! Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet this cat, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adoptJune 5, 2025, 6:26 pm

Story
Dora is a super-playful, curious and loving kitten, and a very unusual orange female. (Most orange cats are male.)   Our vet named her "Dora the Explorer" upon meeting her, because she is always up for a new adventure!  Dora loves to chase dangling feathers or toy mice and balls, or she will have a chase-and-wrestle with her tortoiseshell sister Devi when she is not exploring. Dora and Devi are a wonderfully complementary pair.  While both are fun-loving and affectionate, Dora will always want a play session before a cuddle while Devi favors a lap and a nap before playtime with you. As tiny newborns, Dora and Devi were hidden away on the roof of a house, under the eaves, by their mama-cat.  We spent weeks trying to find these kittens, and only found them when they got big enough to come out of hiding and begin to explore the roof on their own.  But they were terribly underweight because there was no food on the roof, so they only had their mama's milk supply, which was inadequate for kittens who should have been weaned and eating solid food weeks earlier.  However the upside of their roof isolation was that they were hungry enough to be very friendly to people who provided regular meals! Story
With the cutest face you’ve ever seen, Ella is a high-energy ton-of-fun in the body of a tiny ballerina. She’s as snuggly and affectionate as she is playful and she’s got a motor that just won’t stop purring. Her sister Kevyn is her best friend and playmate, and these kittens should be adopted together; this is definitely a case of two kittens being twice the fun and half the work! Ella and her sisters Kevyn and Annie were bottle babies, abandoned by their mother, a feral cat who didn't have enough milk to nurse her big litter. Their foster mom lovingly raised them, feeding them every four hours, day and night, until they were strong enough to eat on their own.  So Ella and her siblings are super-loving and affection because they think humans are their mama.     More information & application [ts=1752087685&src=aap]

Story
Pixi is pretty, playful and petite, perky and purr-y.  She's perfect! This girl is confident, curious and very affectionate too.  She and her buddy Woody are wonderful companions for each other and for their people, and just so much fun.  We just can't say enough good things about these two young cats! Pixi was a homeless cat living on the fringes of an encampment of homeless peoples, and perhaps their kindness made her quick to adapt to live as a rescued indoor cat.  Right out the trap she was ready for pets and hugs and began purring almost immediately.  This pretty girl loves to play with toys and to chase and wrestle with Woody, but she also enjoys quiet time birdwatching (through windows), curled up for a nap with Woody,  or better yet, cuddling with you. Please note: Pixi should be adopted with her best friendMore information & application [ts=1752087685&src=aap]
