Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi - my name is Penelope, but everyone calls me Penny. I’m a pretty 11 year old Calico with beautiful green eyes. I was born near Serramonte Ford in Colma, I was rescued with my Mom and Sister in 2011. They were adopted long ago. I am a special needs kitty, I have Hyperthyroid, but it is kept under control with a pill crushed into my wet food twice a day. My other issue is I want to be an ONLY kitty. I tend to get jealous when I don’t get all the attention. I’ve been in a Foster home, however the resident cat didn't like me trying to “claim” her person. I’m a good girl, I use the litter box, and the scratching post. I like sleeping on a human’s bed. I do have a few quirks, I like to be petted-but on My terms, I tend to stare at the other cats, which, intimidates them, and sometimes I tend to race around the house for no particular reason, the humans don’t know why. I am an active and incredibly smart girl, but can also be quite independent. I need an experienced cat owner who will give me the time and patience to help adjust to a new home. Again I want to be an Only cat, I may be good with an easy going dog, and with children 12 and over that understand the ways of cats.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Spicy is an adorable dilute Calico young kitty. We estimate about a year old. She is BIG in personality, has a curious nature and loves to play. She enjoys playing with people, other cats, feather toys, balls, you name it. The laser light is one of her favorites. Spicy is a gentle girl, can be held for short periods of time and is starting to understand that the human lap is a beautiful thing. She likes to snuggle and you can hear her purr a mile away. She's a beautiful cat that will make a great addition to your family. She would do well in a home with another kitty to be her playmate. She's pretty special and fun to be around. Fill out our Adoption Application so you can meet her in person. Spicy is spayed and up to date with her vaccinations.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maya was found abandoned at the end of a driveway in Half Moon Bay. She was in a carrier with another cat, 2 beds and bowls but no other information. Maya is about 6 years old and healthy.  Maya came through her dental like a champ! Maya is the one who is loves attention. She will let you know when she has had enough. She does like to get petted and holds up her end of a conversation. She loves to garner all the attention so it would be best if Maya was an only kitty in her home. Is your family looking for a beautiful blue-eyed princess to be a companion for your family? Maya is waiting for you. Please note: Maya would do best as an only childIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1685581318&src=aap]

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
In the middle of June, 2017, five beautiful kittens were seen running around in a coast side neighborhood backyard. The neighbor contacted rescue people to help these little ones escape the feral life. Although it took some time, these beautiful kittens were trapped and brought inside. Mom cat was also trapped and spayed. The person who trapped the kittens contacted CIW to see if we could help find the kittens their forever homes and we could. The kittens were all healthy, social kittens. They were all current with their vaccinations, are spayed and neutered, are micro-chipped and tested negative for feline leukemia and aids. The kittens were all adopted to lovely families but as sometimes happens, things change. Beau and Lana's Mom, developed an allergy to the kitties and the difficult decision was made to return them to CIW. These 2 beautiful babies are again looking for their forever home together. Beau is a big, friendly boy. He is very sweet and loves cheek scratches and pets, and will often come out and greet you with a little chirp when you come home. He enjoys sleeping on the bed with you and lounging around on the couch or on his cat bed. He is very playful, and he can entertain himself by throwing his mouse around the room, or dashing around after a wand toy. He also loves pouncing on his sister, Lana, and trying to get her to play with him. Beau is a healthy boy who is neutered, current with his vaccinations, and microchipped. Beau is a big honey bear who is looking for his forever home! Lana is a loving girl, and although she takes a bit longer to warm up than her brother, once she gets to know you she is very affectionate. She loves winding around your legs, especially around feeding time or when you’re trying to get out the door for work. Lana loves sitting on her cat tree, and she can lounge the day or night away gazing out the window. She loves to occasionally hunt and pounce on a wand toy or toss a little play mouse around the room. She loves to occasionally hunt and pounce on a wand toy or toss a little play mouse around the room. She grew up around kids and is very comfortable even with toddlers. Story
My name is Bambi. I was rescued from the streets of Tracy by someone who could not leave a senior girl out in the cold. Nothing is known about where I came from but my temporary home has had me since February. I'm a chill girl, I like to lay on pillows, look out the window, and eat- emphasis on EAT. I'm a hungry girl. My foster mom says I make the cutest sounds but I also scare her from time to time because I like to scream for attention. She's taken me to the vet to get my teeth cleaned and the vet says I am older than 7 years old. I don't count time so I'm not sure how long I've been around. I am looking for a retirement home. My forever person should be prepared to adopt a senior girl- we come with needs. I've been healthy so far but you never know. I like wet food only. Not a fan of that dry stuff. And I need a hooded litter box. Whoever had me before my current mom didn't bother with spaying me and I might be too old but best to check with your vet. I'm no expert.

Story
Sink used to be one of 7 cats that lived in a warehouse. About six weeks ago a building inspector demanded that the company get rid of the cats, and I reluctantly agreed to take Sink (she is so named due to her obsession with my bathroom sink). Since then I have been diagnosed with a chronic disease that will cause me to have to give up my part time job, and thus I will no longer be able to afford to keep Sink (my Social Security payments are only enough to pay my monthly bills). Sink is about 6 months old or so. She is well socialized and is very friendly.
