Story
Penny is one of those special senior kitties who exudes poise, wisdom, and confidence. Her poise comes from knowing that her gorgeous calico markings and bright green eyes make her the most beautiful creature in any room. Penny’s wisdom comes from 16 years of observing and managing hoomans, knowing exactly how to make us do her bidding. Her confidence comes from knowing that the sunniest spot in the house is always reserved for her. She will bask there for hours — it’s why we call her the Sun Princess. She’s still plenty frisky, too! Penny will bound to the top of a cat tree. When she finds her favorite mouse toy, she carries it around proudly, meowing her triumph. Penny is looking for a loving, mellow home. Fill out our online Application so you can meet Penny in person: https://forms.gle/QkuLYpw7LCk15yXk9

Story
Emma, the Calico is 7-9 yrs. Her mother was feral but she was born in captivity. She is named after Emma Goldman, the Anarchist and VERY independent. She loves to be outside during the day until 10pm or so. She loves to cuddle in bed and stroked. Doesn't like dogs, cats, people except her caretaker or children. She is very cautious all the time. Once she knows you she is lovable but at night only. Loves treats and eats both dry and wet food. She is an easy cat to take care of. Pictured with my other cat, Sylvie who is the same age. She is named after Sylvia Plath, the poet. She is my watch cat and loves to be with me. She also likes to be outside, mostly at night and goes in and out my window. I'd love to adopt the, together if possible. She is also 7-9yrs. The cats get along but snip occasionaly at each other.

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.    Meet Lacy, a gorgeous 4 month old calico with a beautiful medium-length coat, a personality as colorful as her fur, and whiskers so GINORMOUS we're pretty sure they have their own zip code. Seriously. The whiskers. You will notice them immediately. They are magnificent. They are dramatic. They are completely fabulous. And somehow, they make an already adorable kitten even more ridiculously cute. But Lacy isn't just a pretty face with spectacular facial hair. She is a sweet, loving, confident and wonderfully friendly little girl who is happy to meet people and ready to get involved in whatever fun is happening around her. She has the confidence of a kitten who already knows she's adorable and sees absolutely no reason to question it. Lacy is playful, curious and full of kitten personality. She is ready to chase toys, investigate absolutely everything, and turn ordinary household objects into highly entertaining kitten adventures. A toy? Fantastic. A box? Obviously a castle. A piece of something that has fallen on the floor? Clearly a treasure that must be investigated immediately. And after all that very important kitten business, Lacy is happy to slow down and enjoy some affection. She is an all-around sweet and loving kitten who wants to be part of her family's life. She also has a special friend named Percy, whom she currently lives with in her foster home. The two are buddies, so if you're looking for a pair, Lacy and Percy could make an absolutely adorable duo. Two kittens means twice the entertainment, twice the zoomies and approximately 47 times the opportunity to discover that you apparently own nothing that isn't a cat toy. Lacy is confident enough to explore the world but sweet enough to want her people, making her a wonderful little companion. She's at that perfect kitten age where she's still tiny and adorable but her personality is already shining through. And yes, we know people are going to see her beautiful calico coat and immediately fall in love. We get it. Calico. Gorgeous. Medium-haired. Adorable. GINORMOUS WHISKERS. It's a lot. But spend a little time with Lacy and you'll discover that the prettiest thing about her isn't her coloring. It's her heart. She's friendly. She's playful. She's affectionate. She's confident. She's sweet. And she has that irresistible little-kitten ability to make you smile just by existing. So go ahead. Admire the calico. Marvel at the whiskers. Watch her play. Listen to her tiny kitten opinions. And then prepare yourself for the inevitable: 'Okay. She's my cat.' Because we're pretty sure that's exactly how this story ends. Lacy is ready to find her forever family. Preferably one with plenty of toys, plenty of love, and a household prepared to appreciate those magnificent whiskers. All kittens have all been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for the pair or $200 per kitten.  September 11, 2026, 12:46 am

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.    Warning: Your House Will Never Be the Same At just 13 weeks old, the Peninsula Litter has already mastered the art of being kittens. Some kittens spend their days quietly napping in a sunbeam. These are not those kittens. The Peninsula Litter believes every shoelace is a snake that must be defeated. Every cardboard box is a luxury condo. Every paper bag is an amusement park. They can turn a crumpled receipt into a 30-minute sporting event, race through the house at warp speed for absolutely no reason, then collapse in a tiny pile as if they have just completed an Olympic marathon. Five minutes later, they do it all again. If you've ever laughed while a kitten proudly carried a toy twice their size through the house at 2:00 a.m., found yourself applauding an impossible leap from the couch to the cat tree, or wondered why there was suddenly a kitten hanging halfway out of a laundry basket, you already understand the magic of this age. These four siblings—Mateo, Foster, Carlos, and Clara—are exactly what kittens should be: curious, fearless, playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. They've been raised in loving foster homes where they've been well socialized from the very beginning. They've been exposed to dogs and other cats and would do wonderfully in a home with respectful children. They're confident little explorers who settle in quickly because people have always been part of their world. Whether you live in a downtown apartment, a cozy condo, or a house with room to roam, these kittens aren't looking for square footage. They're looking for someone who will laugh when they steal a sock, smile when they chase invisible 'monsters' across the living room, and happily make room for a warm little body curled up beside them at the end of the day. Picture coming home from work and being greeted by tiny paws racing to the door. Imagine making your morning coffee while a curious kitten supervises from the nearest chair. Picture movie nights with a purring kitten asleep in your lap, or lazy Sunday mornings when the biggest decision is whether to chase a toy mouse or curl up in a sunny window for a nap. Before long, you'll wonder how your home ever felt complete without them. Because kittens almost always do better with another playful feline companion, we'd especially love to see two of these siblings continue growing up together. Mateo and Foster are the very best of friends. They currently live together, play together, wrestle together, and often end the day curled up side by side. We'd absolutely love to see them continue their adventures in the same home. Carlos and Clara are another wonderful pair we'd love to see adopted together as they live together now. They complement each other beautifully and make a fantastic duo. These pairings are not requirements, and we'll always choose the home that is the best fit for each kitten. However, if we have two equally qualified applicants and one family is interested in adopting one of these pairs together, that family will receive priority. If you're looking for laughter, companionship, endless entertainment, and tiny best friends who will quickly become cherished members of your family, the Peninsula Litter is ready to fill your home with love, purrs, and just the right amount of kitten mischief. We can't wait for you to meet them. They have all been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for the pair or $200 per kitten. . September 11, 2026, 12:46 am

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.  Sometimes life changes in ways our pets have no say in. Tom and Miki came to DPS after their owner had to move out of the country and was unable to take them along. They have been together since they were kittens, but they do not have to be adopted together. We are happy to place them separately in the right homes, or they can stay together if someone has room in their heart for two. Tom is a 3 year old Turkish Van mix who is basically a professional people person. He loves his humans and wants to be right where you are, preferably supervising whatever it is you’re doing. Curious, affectionate, and happiest when he’s beside his person, Tom is the kind of cat who wants to be part of the action rather than watching it from across the room. Miki is Tom’s 3-year-old calico sister, and her markings are absolutely one of a kind. The transition to a new home has been harder on her, so she’s taking her time adjusting. She’s been coming around beautifully in her foster home and has discovered that lounging in her cat tree is a pretty good way to spend the day. She is gentle and sweet with her humans and loves playing with toys. Miki also has a little hidden talent: she’s a mouser. Both cats are indoor cats, but when an unexpected mouse made its way into their former home, Miki apparently decided she had been hired for pest control. Problem solved. Tom and Miki would make wonderful companions, together or separately, for the right home. Tom is likely to be your shadow, while Miki may take a little more time to feel completely comfortable—but once she does, you’ll have a sweet, playful girl who knows how to enjoy the good life. Sometimes the hardest part of rescue is helping animals understand that a change in circumstances doesn’t mean they’ve lost their chance at a happy ending. We think Tom and Miki are both ready for theirs. All kittens have all been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for the pair or $200 per kitten.  September 11, 2026, 12:46 am

Story
Hello! My name is Ann Taylor! If you want a kitty that never causes any drama and is just happy all the time, that’s totally me. I’m the type of kitty that is super chill and just rolls with whatever is happening. Got other cats? Yay, new besties! Kids who want to hang out? Awesome, count me in! I love running after string toys and tossing bouncy balls down the hallway, but I don't get super crazy or jumpy. I just like having fun. I’m also the type of kitty that walks up to anyone who comes through the door because I just assume everybody wants to say hi to me (and they usually do!). Nothing really freaks me out. I'm just a really happy girl. I’m super ready to come hang out at your house forever and bring good vibes everywhere I go. Put in an application- I'd love to meet you! To ensure our team can focus on their care and lifesaving work, we kindly ask that you refrain from calling or messaging for status updates.  Because we receive a high volume of applications, we are only able to contact those who are selected for the next steps and will not respond to every inquiry. Thank you for understanding and patience.  This kitty is spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, and litter box trained.   MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS 1) Go to  https://petlover.petstablished.com/organization/1951865 and Click "adopt" on the kitten's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process. (NOTE: If the kitten is a bonded pair, do not apply for him/her as a single kitten. These applications will not be considered)  2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days. Due to the volume of calls/inquiries/messages, please do not call to check the status of your application. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament.  3) Priority will be given to those who are open to adopting in pairs or who have a resident kitty looking for a new friend. Kittens do best when they have a friend. Read why here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens ##2825677##
