Calico kittens & cats in Bowie, Maryland

Hi, this little cutie here is Ham'N'Cheese. Ham'N'Cheese is a lovely calico cat I found by my building a couple of months ago. She was about 6-7 months at the time. She was in and out because her and my mom clash. She is a very sweet, gentle, cuddly, and playful young cat. She's great with kids and loves to play with cats. I'm not sure how she is around dogs. I can no longer take care of her. I need to find a loving adopter who will spoil and care for her. I'd prefer to give her to someone that has another kitten/cat or puppy/dog in the house that is good with cats and can entertain her if chosen to be adopted. Meet Tippsie, an 8-year-old dilute tortie with a gentle soul! Tipssie’s world changed when her beloved owner from kittenhood, now facing advanced cancer, could no longer care for her. She is a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a sweet loving companion. She loves head and chin rubs, brushing, and even gives the cutest little forehead bumps. Since moving to a foster home from our shelter, she is much more comfortable. Tippsie is a laid back girl. She spends her afternoons napping, like most kitties, then joins her foster family when they get home from work for some petting and attention. Though not a lap cat (yet), Tippsie enjoys being close to her fosters and lets them carry her around. Tippsie would do best in a calm, quiet home with understanding adopters who will let her settle in at her pace. In return, Tipssie will reward you with companionship, gentle affection, and a loyal presence by your side! We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. We do not have our own spay/neuter clinic so the adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing (negative/negative unless otherwise noted), treatment for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipping.

Clio is a 5.5 year-old Calico we adopted when she was six months old. She's been a great companion through moves and different apartments, and is a cuddly, lazy house cat. Clio has outgrown our fairly small apartment and, more importantly, she and our precocious toddler don't exactly see eye-to-eye, which is why it's time for Clio to find her forever home. She is otherwise very low-maintenance, will play with a wide variety of toys (feather wands, battery-powered chasers etc.). She enjoys her standard dry food and litter, and the occasional treat. She doesn't need medications. She's just looking for her next great owners and home!

I started fostering Cali after she was found in an apartment building in DC. She was untrusting of everyone, after a while she began to trust me. I’ve had her on fluoxetine and it has not helped her behavior. She needs a home where she is the only pet, and she needs to be placed with someone who is very experienced with aggressive, territorial cats. I’m having to rehome her because she has attacked me and my partner. Whoever is interested in working with her, please know she will need a lot of patience. I have not exhausted all avenues of correcting her behavior, but I can no longer allow her to affect my household.

Charish is a bottle fed dark calico female, born on September 24th, 2025. She is very sweet but also shy.  She is very playful and litter box trained. She is great with other cats and small dogs. Litter mates are Jeanie, Jenna, Mimi, and BearyQ. Indoor cat only! The adoption fee is $75. . This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. These two bonded cats originally belonged to a quiet, loving home and are naturally shy at first. They are gentle, calm, and sweet once they feel safe, and they find comfort in staying close to each other. They enjoy peaceful environments, soft spaces to rest, and calm human company. Unfortunately, due to the passing of their owner, we are unable to keep them and are looking for a patient, loving home where they can stay together and feel secure again.

HOW I CAME TO PGSPCA My mom brought me and my brothers to a place that had all sorts of plants and cozy spots, but also a lot of people around. The people at the garden center made sure that we had plenty to eat and fresh water to drink until another nice lady took us all inside while we look for our furever homes! DREAM HOME I need to be in a home with other kitty friends. I don't necessarily need to be adopted with one of my brothers, but I'll thrive best with other feline companionship. Ok, despite the sweet and innocent face, it WAS me! I did it! Perhaps I climbed your leg like a cat tree or mayyybe I tore up that whole roll of paper towels! It’s just that I have all this kitten coming out, usually in the form of epic zoomies and parkour moves that would rival those of any American Ninja Warrior! I eventually run myself silly and tire out, which is when I want to snuggle up right next to my foster hoomans for a nap. I enjoy looking out the windows at the birdies from the top of the cat tree and spending time chasing my brother Bologna’s tail! Come get us and let’s have some fun!
