Story
This is one of 5 cats that were found outside in the cold rain. Their mom was never seen on our cameras for some time after so we decided to take care of them. Unfortunately, the expenses have become too much to take care of them. She is around 9 months having been born in March. A home that is caring and affectionate is definitely something we are looking for to make sure she’s taken care of. She’s very playful and affectionate while also being quite adventurous and curious. She’s a joy to be around and a cute cuddler.

Story
This cat is one of 5 found outside in the rain, shivering without their mom. No cats showed up at all on the cameras days or even weeks after so we tried to take care of them for months but the expenses were stacking up. She is around 9 months old, estimating that they were born some time in March. We are hoping her new home is filled with love and care as she is a very sweet and funny cat. She’s had that derpy look on her face since she was a kitten and is arguably one of our favorite things about her. She’s very affectionate and loves pats on her back, always coming back for more. She really lightens up the mood with her pleasant and gentle demeanor.

One of 5 kittens, they were found outside in the rain. Their mom never came back and so they became ours. We tried taking care of them for as long as we could but the expenses became too much. Chica is 9 months old, having been born in March. We are looking for a home with a lot of love and care for her. She’s a bit skittish and is definitely the most suspicious out of the 5. She may seem shy at first but once she becomes comfortable, she can be the most loving and affectionate little guy with an adventurous spirit.

Story
Hi, this little cutie here is Ham'N'Cheese. Ham'N'Cheese is a lovely calico cat I found by my building a couple of months ago. She was about 6-7 months at the time. She was in and out because her and my mom clash. She is a very sweet, gentle, cuddly, and playful young cat. She's great with kids and loves to play with cats. I'm not sure how she is around dogs. I can no longer take care of her. I need to find a loving adopter who will spoil and care for her. I'd prefer to give her to someone that has another kitten/cat or puppy/dog in the house that is good with cats and can entertain her if chosen to be adopted. This is an Urgent Listing as I can no longer care for her at home. Serious applications only.

Story
Meet Tippsie, an 8-year-old dilute tortie with a gentle soul! Tipssie’s world changed when her beloved owner from kittenhood, now facing advanced cancer, could no longer care for her. She is a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a sweet loving companion. She loves head and chin rubs, brushing, and even gives the cutest little forehead bumps. Since moving to a foster home from our shelter, she is much more comfortable. Tippsie is a laid back girl. She spends her afternoons napping, like most kitties, then joins her foster family when they get home from work for some petting and attention. Though not a lap cat (yet), Tippsie enjoys being close to her fosters and lets them carry her around. Tippsie would do best in a calm, quiet home with understanding adopters who will let her settle in at her pace. In return, Tipssie will reward you with companionship, gentle affection, and a loyal presence by your side! To learn more about this kitty, please email adopt@catsrusrescue.org or submit an adoption application online at https://catsrusrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is designated as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. We do not have our own spay/neuter clinic so the adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing (negative/negative unless otherwise noted), treatment for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipping.

Story
These two bonded cats originally belonged to a quiet, loving home and are naturally shy at first. They are gentle, calm, and sweet once they feel safe, and they find comfort in staying close to each other. They enjoy peaceful environments, soft spaces to rest, and calm human company. Unfortunately, due to the passing of their owner, we are unable to keep them and are looking for a patient, loving home where they can stay together and feel secure again.

Story
HOW I CAME TO PGSPCA My mom brought me and my brothers to a place that had all sorts of plants and cozy spots, but also a lot of people around. The people at the garden center made sure that we had plenty to eat and fresh water to drink until another nice lady took us all inside while we look for our furever homes! DREAM HOME I need to be in a home with other kitty friends. I don't necessarily need to be adopted with one of my brothers, but I'll thrive best with other feline companionship. My Profile Age: 10 months (as of February 2024) Good with kids: good with kids over 10 years old. Good with dogs: haven’t met dogs yet. Good with other cats: Yes Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes Meet Me If you are interested in Nash, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application at pgspca.org. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Nash will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.

Story
Aslan was rescued when he showed up with 3 racoons for dinner one day in late December. He’s a timid but super affectionate 5-year-old neutered male, up to date on all shots and combo tested negative. He loves being petted once he gets to know you, but is not been much for lap surfing or playing with toys. He is very chill and sweet with our two resident cats, and is food driven. He’s a very calm soul that loves to sun and hasn’t jumped the baby gate that divides his little room from the rest of the house. He likes treats of bacon and tuna juice and would thrive in a calm household with no young kids. Since he’s been inside, he has licked a lot of fur from his body. We’ve ruled out bugs, and the vet thinks it’s more likely anxiety or allergies and that he might have been abused previously. Please consider giving sweet Aslan a chance to win your heart. My Profile Age: 5 years old Good with kids: Unsure Good with dogs: unsure Good with other cats: Yes Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes Activity level: pretty laid-back. Meet Me To meet Aslan, please send a note to his foster, at miller.sarag@gmail.com
