Story
Meet Basmati Delicate, soft, and just a little reserved - Basmati is a gentle 1-year-old boy with a tender heart. Like the rice he's named after, he's light and lovely... but he needs the right warmth to truly fluff up and shine.Basmati is on the shyer side and prefers to take his time getting to know new people and surroundings. He's not the bold, jump-into-your-lap type (at least not yet!), but with patience, kindness, and a calm home, he'll slowly blossom into a devoted companion. Watching a shy kitty gain confidence is one of the sweetest journeys - and Basmati is ready to take that journey with someone special. He would absolutely love a confident cat friend in the home. Having another kitty buddy will help him feel safe, learn the ropes, and build his bravery. A feline role model could make all the difference for this sensitive boy.Basmati is looking for an indoor-only foster-to-adopt home in the Nanaimo area while he awaits his neuter appointment. This gives him the perfect chance to settle in, build trust, and start feeling at home before everything is finalized. If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and maybe a friendly cat looking for a buddy, Basmati just might be the missing ingredient. Story
Spud is a special (big) boy looking to find some new digs.He is from a property with several other cats that were living outdoors, and has been having a hard time adjusting to the new living arrangements and day to day pace here with us.Spud is a lounger, and is looking for a quiet home where he can decompress at his own pace.He will do best indoor only due to his nervous nature, and likely would prefer to be the only pet in the home, however, may be okay with another cat.We have started him on anxiety-reducing medication while in our care that he would go home with as well to help ease him into his new home.Spud is easily won over with treats but is hesitant to trust and is not afraid to let you know when he doesn't want company. If you are interested in adopting and have the space in your heart and home for this big boy, please fill out the application as the first step.He is available for viewing at the branch, however, will likely not be receptive to visitors on day 1!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Grey Weight: 6.2 Age: 7yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Meet Milton Milton is a gorgeous, fluffy black boy with an even more beautiful personality. This sweet cat absolutely loves love. He's incredibly friendly, thrives on attention, and is happiest when he's near his people. Expect gentle head bumps, loud purrs, and a loyal little shadow following you around the house. Milton is the kind of cat who forms a strong bond with his humans and will happily curl up beside you for snuggles and quiet companionship.Milton is FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). The good news is that many FIV+ cats live long, happy, normal lives. FIV simply affects the immune system, which means Milton will need a safe indoor-only home where he can stay healthy and protected. The virus is mainly spread through deep bite wounds between cats, so with a calm environment and routine veterinary care, FIV+ cats like Milton often thrive just like any other cat. Milton also has a small heart murmur, which means the vet can hear a soft extra sound when listening to his heartbeat. Mild murmurs are quite common in cats and many never cause any problems. Right now Milton is feeling great and enjoying life the way every cat should-seeking affection, relaxing in cozy spots, and soaking up attention.Milton would love a caring home where he can live safely indoors and be adored for the affectionate, fluffy sweetheart he is. If you're looking for a gentle companion who will happily share your couch, your quiet moments, and plenty of purrs, Milton may be your perfect match.Sometimes the most special cats just need someone to see how wonderful they are-and Milton has a whole lot of love ready to give. Story
Meet the handsome KikiKiki is a stunning young adult cat with a beautiful face and the softest purr. He is affectionate once he has your trust. He has blossomed in his foster home! Kiki has tested positive for calicivirus, a common feline virus that affects the upper respiratory system. But don't worry, it doesn't slow him down! Most cats with calicivirus live long, happy loves with just a little extra TLC. The virus is contagious to other cats, so Kiki should either be your one-and-only feline friend (more snuggles for him!!) or live with other cats who are also calicivirus positive. Kiki is looking for an indoor-only home and a keen owner to provide him with annual vet visits to make sure his body is staying in tip top shape! He would love a loving human who understands his needs and is ready to spoil him with toys, cozy beds, and gentle attention. Kiki has a LOT of love to give and would do best with a calm household that respects his space but welcomes his curious, sweet nature. He's playful, loyal, and ready to be your soft, purring shadowKiki is in foster care but would love to schedule an appointment with you to meet his possible fur-ever family ♥ Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.5 Age: 1yrs 9mths 3wks

Story
Snowball's story is one of resilience, fluff, and a whole lot of heart. At 10 years young, this beautiful cloud of a kitty has perfected the art of cozy living. With her luxurious white coat and gentle personality, Snowball looks like she floated straight out of a winter fairytale. She's the kind of cat who appreciates the finer things in life: a warm blanket, a sunny window, and a human who understands that chin scratches are a very important daily ritual.Snowball came into care after a growth was discovered. The mass was successfully removed by our veterinary team, and she handled the whole experience like the brave little lady she is. Despite that bump in the road, Snowball is currently enjoying life and focusing on what she does best-being adorable and soaking up affection. She has a calm, sweet nature and would likely thrive in a peaceful home where she can relax, be loved, and remind everyone that senior cats truly are something special.Snowball is proof that sometimes the softest, fluffiest companions are also the strongest. If you're looking for a gentle, loving cat who will fill your home with quiet companionship (and a bit of snowy elegance), Snowball might just be your perfect match. Because every snowball deserves a warm place to land. Primary Color: White Weight: 5.23 Age: 10yrs 8mths 0wks
