Story
Meet Simba - a quiet soul with a heart worth earning. Simba is a beautiful domestic medium-haired cat searching for a calm, understanding home that respects her unique personality. She's a sensitive girl who can feel nervous around new people and unfamiliar environments, so she needs someone patient who will give her the time and space she needs to settle in and feel safe.An independent lady at heart, Simba prefers to be the one who decides when it's time for affection. She may not be the type to demand constant attention, but when she chooses to come to you, those moments are truly special. Building trust with Simba is a rewarding journey-once you've earned it, you'll discover the gentle, loving companion she keeps tucked beneath her cautious exterior.Simba would thrive as an indoor-only cat in a quiet household with one or two cat-savvy adults. She's not suited for homes with other animals or young children, as she does best in a predictable, low-stress environment where she can feel fully at ease. She may have her quirks, but they're just part of what makes her unique. For the right person, Simba isn't just a pet-she's a loyal companion for life. 💛 Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.9 Age: 2yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Meet Salem - a quiet little soul with a lot of love waiting to be discovered. 🖤Salem was found as a stray on someone's property, and it was clear right away that he needed help. Life hadn't been kind to him, and he came to us shy, unsure, and carrying the weight of everything he's been through. But even now, beneath that cautious exterior, we can see glimpses of the sweet, gentle boy he's meant to be.Salem has feline herpesvirus, which is actually quite common in cats. For him, it mostly shows up as chronic eye changes and occasional flare-ups, especially during times of stress. It's not something to be afraid of-just something his future family will need to understand and manage with a little extra care and a lot of love. His eyes may always look a little different, but we think they tell a story of resilience and quiet bravery. He will be neutered and receive a dental procedure while in our care, setting him up for a more comfortable and healthy future.Salem is a shy cat who will need time, patience, and a calm indoor-only home where he can feel safe. He may not be the kind of cat who runs up to greet you right away-but for the right person, that first moment when he chooses to trust you will mean everything. Watching him come out of his shell, little by little, will be incredibly rewarding. He's what we lovingly call a "project cat"-the kind who asks for a bit more, but gives back something truly special in return. Salem deserves someone who sees past his rough start and believes in the loving companion he can become. If you have a gentle heart and the patience to let him bloom, Salem is waiting for you. 🖤 Primary Color: Black Weight: 5.46 Age: 8yrs 1mths 1wks

Sweet Violet is looking for a new place to call home after coming from an outdoor property with several other cats. She would do best in an indoor home with another cat to call her friend, and a patient guardian that will let her settle in at her own pace!Violet is nervous of the hustle and bustle of everything around her, but enjoys a good cozy bed and the temptation treats she gets while we try to make friends with her.She will likely take some time to warm up to her new people and home, but will blossom in a safe environment. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application as the first stephttps://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 3.03 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Chuck came to us as part of an outdoor colony, has since had a dental and was neutered! Chuck has some anxiety and is definitely frustrated in this new environment, much preferring to find a nice new home and a doting family. He is looking for a patient guardian that is open to him settling in at his own pace, as he is hesitant to trust and will default to hiding in the home until he is ready to explore. He has started an anxiety-reducing medication during his stay with us to make him a little more comfortable and would go into his new home with this to help with the transition. He loves food, which has been a great tool to gain his trust and make friends! His favourite are salmon Catit tubes and we have made progress with him through offering these. His favourite person is allowed to give him head pets, but he isn't afraid to tell the others to get lost when he isn't interested.Due to his nervous nature, he is looking for an indoor only home and is wanting to be adopted out with one of his friends from his cat colony days!If you are interested in adopting, please be aware that Chuck is not your average cuddler (yet!) and will likely not be receptive to meeting his new family right away, but bonding with him will be very rewarding to the right family. The first step is submitting an application, which is linked below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Orange Tabby Weight: 4.8 Age: 1yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Kiki is a sweet, affectionate boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. His favorite routine is simple: a fun play session with his humans followed by a cozy cuddle on the couch. Whether you're tossing a toy for him or settling in for a relaxing evening, Kiki is happiest when he's spending time with the people he loves.Because he thrives on companionship, Kiki would do wonderfully in a home where someone is around a lot-such as someone who works from home. He would likely be happiest in a calm household with a couple people who want to shower him with the attention, playtime, and snuggles he enjoys so much. ♥Kiki does have a condition called feline calicivirus. This is a common virus in cats that mainly affects the upper respiratory system, similar to how a cold might affect people. Cats with calicivirus can sometimes have mild symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, or occasional flare-ups, but many cats live happy, comfortable lives with it. Because the virus can spread between cats, Kiki should either be the only cat in the home or live with other cats who also have calicivirus. Kiki is also looking for a dog-free, indoor-only home where he can feel safe, loved, and relaxed. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.1 Age: 1yrs 10mths 2wks
