Story
Meet Nugget! A dashing four-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently living in Roseville, CA, whose sleek black coat and mesmerizing green eyes make him a true heart-stealer. This medium-sized gentleman, weighing in at a healthy 15 pounds, is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet, with a touch of sass that will keep you endlessly entertained! Nugget is a playful spirit with a love for laser pointers, teaser wands, and anything infused with catnip. When he's not showing off his hunting skills during playtime, you'll find him perched by a window, chattering at birds or soaking up the sights of the world outside. He’s even harness-trained for outdoor adventures—though he’s still working on mastering his confidence. Nugget also adores watching “Cat TV” (squirrel and bird videos are his favorite) and relaxing to calming feline music. At the heart of Nugget’s charm is his affection. When he’s ready for love, he’ll pad over, climb onto your chest, and settle in for snuggles. During these moments, chin and ear scratches are mandatory, and if you’ve got a soft blanket nearby, he’ll reward you with the cutest biscuit-making performance! Nugget even enjoys being held like a baby—talk about a cuddle pro! While Nugget thrives on human companionship, he prefers a single-cat home where he can embrace his “bachelor lifestyle.” He’s lived harmoniously with a dog in the past, so canine friends might be a welcome possibility. Nugget is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. However, he has Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC), which requires a prescription diet and daily medication (happily taken in salmon-flavored Pill Pockets!). His new caregiver will need to continue this regimen to keep him happy and healthy. Are you ready to welcome a charming, chatty, and snuggle-loving companion into your life? Nugget is waiting to meet you and start a new chapter filled with love and laughter. Could your home be the perfect place for this handsome fellow? Story
Meet Barry! This distinguished eight-year-old gentleman isn't your average cat, he plays fetch! This sleek black beauty with captivating green eyes brings unexpected joy with his quirky personality and kitten-like bursts of energy. Barry's special talents include playing fetch with genuine enthusiasm (yes, really!), creating "newspaper art" with playful shredding sessions, professional birdwatching from his window perch, and expert biscuit-making on fuzzy blankets. While Barry takes a moment to warm up to new faces, once comfortable, he reveals his wonderfully unique personality. He's an independent soul who shows affection on his terms, not a lap cat, but he'll contentedly curl up beside you for quiet companionship. The ideal home for Barry: A peaceful, pet-free environment where he can be your one and only. Barry thrives with routine and patient humans who appreciate his boundaries while enjoying his affectionate quirks. Perfect for remote workers or retirees who want a calm, entertaining companion! Barry is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and weighs about nine pounds. He's currently living comfortably with his family in Tucson, AZ, until the right match is found. Long-distance adoption welcome, true love knows no boundaries! Ready to welcome this biscuit-making, fetch-playing gentleman into your life? Email adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Meet Easter Bunny, lovingly called “Bunny”! A petite and delightfully quirky four-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently in Woodland, CA, whose gentle soul is wrapped in a soft gray-brown tabby coat and paired with a personality full of silent surprises. At just 6 pounds, Bunny is the definition of dainty, small in size, but big on charm! She’s a quiet thinker who prefers window-side lounging, morning lap naps, and stretching out in true sphinx-like fashion. This clever girl is low on drama but high on smarts: she studies doorknobs like a feline detective, attempting to open them with quiet determination (if only she had thumbs!). And while she's not a fan of being held for long, if you pick the perfect moment, you’ll be rewarded with five whole seconds of belly-kissing bliss. When Bunny sleeps, the real show begins. She sometimes runs in her dreams, little paws twitching mid-zap, occasionally leading to a sleepy spill and a confused wake-up moment that’s equal parts hilarious and heart-melting. During those dreams, she may also express a bit of urine, a quirky sleep-related incontinence that her vet says isn't tied to any medical issue. Gently waking her during those “zoomie dreams” can help prevent it. Bunny has a distinctive look, thanks to one chipped tooth that pops out adorably when she’s slightly miffed. And her “high-speed butt” trot, powered by a little too much back-leg enthusiasm, is guaranteed to make you laugh! She prefers side-butt taps and she’d love a patient guardian who understands her quiet affection and clever ways. She’s fully vaccinated, microchipped, and proudly counter-averse, unlike her gluttonous peers, she keeps all four paws off kitchen surfaces. Bunny's adoption will require that she be spayed by her new family and our team can provide guidance and resources to support that process. Bunny has cohabited peacefully with other cats, warming up with time and becoming quite playful once she feels safe. She’s shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll curl up on your lap each morning like clockwork! Can your heart and home make room for this wise, whimsical, and wonderfully weird little cat? Bunny’s waiting for someone who will laugh, lounge, and learn alongside her. Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com to bring Easter Bunny into your life!

Story
Meet Cherry and Lilac two 7-week old kitten sisters with big personalities! Born in a patch of ivy under a cherry tree and lilac bush in the yard of a Sunset Park townhouse in Brooklyn, these sisters were found and rescued by kind humans immediately after being born. They've grown up in a loving and caring foster home alongside their 2 brothers and mama, Gingko, and these two little ladies have a special bond and a zest for life that just cannot be beat! Both Cherry and Lilac are adventurous, playful, and social! They love to chase their feather toys around the house, explore their play space, climb their scratching posts, and jump around on their kitty hammock. Their bond is also sooo special. They groom each other, curl up to nap together in their shared kitty bed, and call out when they want to play with one another. Because they’re so close and truly partners in crime, Cherry and Lilac are looking for a forever home together, where they can keep growing, playing, and loving side by side. While these two sisters share very similar personality traits (which is why they get along so well!), they each have cute and unique markings that make it easy to tell them apart. Lilac is the kitty with a little beauty mark above her lip (like the model she knows that she is) and Cherry is the kitty with the patch of black on the right side of her forehead and ear! If you’re ready for twice the fun and twice the love, Lilac and Cherry can’t wait to meet you! Requires spay/neuter and rabbies vaccination when they are of age. To apply for Cherry and Lilac, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2566492##

Story
Meet Woo Woos! A sensitive and soulful five-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Shorthair currently in Goodyear, AZ, whose warm orange tabby coat hides a heart full of potential just waiting for the right person to unlock it. Woo Woos came into the world during the quiet of the pandemic and has only known life in a calm, one-on-one setting. Deeply bonded with his guardian, he’s the kind of cat who greets you at the door with affectionate leg rubs and loves creating cozy spaces, sometimes even making you a bed with his paws (it’s his version of home improvement!). But change has been difficult for him, and recent transitions have highlighted how much he depends on routine, trust, and predictability. While staying at a relative’s home with multiple cats, Woo Woos kept his distance, showing that group living isn’t quite his style, though he did manage to coexist. He hasn’t shown interest in playing with others and tends to retreat rather than engage. What he truly needs is a calm, experienced adult-only home, where someone can patiently build trust with him at his own pace. Now, it’s important to be honest: Woo Woos recently bit a family member while she was putting down his food. The incident involved her back being turned as she crouched near him, and though his motivations are unclear, it’s evident that he can react when startled or unsure. He’s also sensitive about being touched in certain areas, like his paws and belly, and may lash out if approached too quickly or without warning. Because of this, Woo Woos is looking for a guardian who understands feline behavior, practices positive reinforcement, and is ready to work gently with a cat who needs time, space, and consistency. Woo Woos is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His favorite activity? Mealtime! It’s the way to his heart and a great place to begin building a bond. This boy isn’t a quick fix, he’s a journey. But for the right person, Woo Woos will offer a quiet kind of companionship that grows deeper with every passing day. Great news for potential adopters, Woo Woos’ adoption fee has been sponsored by the family! If you feel called to give Woo Woos the gentle, understanding home he needs, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!
