Story
Griffon is 4-5 year old neutered male who was raised outdoors early in life and is independent and low-affection. He is healthy, litter trained, food-motivated, and generally keeps to himself. He is comfortable with another calm, non-dominant cat present but prefers coexistence over interaction and can be temperamental if pushed. He does not enjoy frequent handling and becomes anxious with forced interactions or vet visits, so he needs an experienced adopter who respects boundaries. He may do well as an only cat or with one calm feline companion, and may thrive in a home where outdoor access is an option. He prefers quiet, predictable environments and is not a good match for young children or high-activity households. Vaccinations are not fully current due to handling-related stress; adopter should plan to update as appropriate.

Story
* Available in Shelter for Meet & Greet * Joji (formerly Joe) is a sensitive, intelligent tuxedo boy who has come a long way since his outdoor days. Believed to be around 7 years old, he’s left street life behind and is learning to fully enjoy the comfort and predictability of indoor living. Joji can be shy with new people, but once he trusts you, he becomes an affectionate companion. He loves sunny naps, curling up beside you, and settling into your lap or on your chest for snuggles. Chin and neck scritches are his favorite, and he’s a total gentleman at mealtime — especially when meat is involved. He’s smart and food-motivated, knows how to sit and jump on cue, and enjoys quiet playtime with wand toys, kickers, and small solo toys. Joji thrives in a calm, adult-only home and does best as the only pet. Sudden movements can startle him, and he communicates with a warning nibble when overstimulated, but he’s made huge progress learning to feel safe. With patience and consistency, he blossoms into a loyal, loving shadow who prefers to stay close by. If you appreciate a thoughtful, gentle cat who bonds deeply and rewards kindness with quiet devotion, Joji may be the perfect match.January 20, 2026, 10:12 am

Story
If you’ve ever wished your cat would actually want to hang out with you, Betty is your girl. Betty is what Jackson Galaxy lovingly calls a “cocktail kitty” — the kind of cat who comes to greet guests, circles your legs, and happily hops into a lap when the vibe is right. She’s affectionate, social, and genuinely enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing. Betty is incredibly people-oriented and thrives on connection. She isn’t aloof or standoffish — she’s warm, friendly, and engaged. If you’re looking for a companion cat who will actually keep you company, Betty delivers. She was adopted in 2022 and is now looking for a new home due to her family facing unexpected financial hardship. This is no fault of hers. She is simply a lovely cat who deserves stability and a family who can keep her forever. She can be adopted with her sister Ladybug or separately.March 2, 2026, 7:30 pm

Story
Meet Thelma & Louise, a bonded sister duo looking for their forever home together. This beautiful pair was rescued when they were around 12 weeks of age from the USC area by a wonderful person who nurtured them and kept them safe. They have been thriving ever since. Thelma is a gorgeous silver girl with striking tabby markings. She can be a bit cautious at first, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes a loyal little companion who enjoys sitting close to her people. Louise, with her shiny black coat and stunning golden eyes, is more of a lap cat and happily settles in for cuddles. They truly complement each other and are a bonded pair, so they are looking for a home where they can be adopted together. These sweet girls enjoy playtime, cozy cuddle sessions, and spending time with their human companions. Thelma and Louise are about 6 months old and healthy thanks to the excellent care of their foster mom. They are spayed, have received their FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations, and will be microchipped soon. They are ready to be your cuddle bugs. Are you ready for them? For more information or to schedule a meet and greet, please contact Donna at DonnaJensen75@gmail.com. They are currently living in the Playa Vista area.January 29, 2026, 1:32 pm

Story
Ladybug is sweetness wrapped in black and white. Like her sister, she’s a “cocktail kitty” — social, friendly, and eager to say hello. She enjoys attention, lap time, and being part of the household rhythm. She’s not the type to disappear when guests arrive — she’s the one who comes out to charm them. She’s described as one of the most friendly cats her family has ever had — and it shows. Ladybug is affectionate without being overwhelming and truly enjoys connection. Adopted in 2022, she is now seeking a new home due to hardship in her family. She deserves a soft place to land and a stable future. Ladybug can be adopted with her sister Betty or separately.March 2, 2026, 7:30 pm

Story
* Available in Shelter for Meet & Greet * Sparky is a sweet, thoughtful young tabby who takes her time with new experiences but warms up nicely once she feels comfortable. With her white chest and white toes, she has a gentle presence and an endearing, affectionate nature. Once she’s out, Sparky is playful, loving, and enjoys attention. Sparky was rescued in late November from a feral colony in Hawthorne and was believed to have been abandoned due to her friendliness and ease of handling. In the shelter, she has been steady and observant during the transition, showing a calm, adaptable temperament. Like many young cats adjusting to change, Sparky has had a few minor transition-related disagreements, which are typical and continue to improve with routine and familiarity. Sparky would thrive in a home that appreciates a gentle cat who blossoms with patience and consistency.February 22, 2026, 11:01 am
