POPCORN IS AVAILABLE AS A PERMANENT FOSTER - ALL COSTS PAID BY AALOC Popcorn, a beautiful, female, long-haired cat, was surrendered several years ago by a female truck driver of some notoriety: her previous owner purchased a painting at a garage sale for $5.00 and it is thought to be an original Jackson Pollock. Even with her interesting history, unfortunately Popcorn has never been adopted and now she has lymphoma. She desperately needs a quiet home and someone special to love her. Popcorn is a bit shy but she is very gentle. She used to have very long fur and a big fluffy tail. If you think of the color of a Dreamsicle - a creamy, dreamy orange - you almost envision the color of Popcorn's coat. Popcorn recently started over grooming causing her to vomit so her luxurious coat has been shaved and she now looks like a little lion. Keeping her fur short is important for her health so she will need regular grooming. Popcorn will also need maintenance medication and regular vet visits to keep her in her best shape. As a permanent foster you would be responsible for loving and caring for Popcorn, taking her to her vet appointments and making sure she receives her medications and is comfortable. AALOC would pay for all of Popcorn's vet visits, grooming, food and medications. We also need a medical sponsor to help pay for Popcorn's veterinarian care. To donate to Popcorn's medical expenses and medication, please visit www.AALOC.org/donate, or for additional information regarding becoming Popcorn's medical sponsor email us at AALOC@AALOC.org. Please submit an application to foster Popcorn. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Popcorn and get to know her a bit. For more information on fostering visit our website at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org, or by phone at (714) 893-4393.

Story
This solid little powerhouse will delight you in no time. She purposefully makes her way to where the action is and wants to always know what's going on with everybody in the room. She doesn't mind petting and affection after she learns to trust you, but would much prefer to be a part of things than just sit there getting petted. Small in size, Willow has plenty of confidence and she likes to get warm under the blankets. Being so curious, we're guessing she'd prefer a home with another animal, but humans may be all she needs. Please submit an application to adopt Willow on our website at www.aaloc.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Willow and get to know her a bit. Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. Story
Jasmine, a mackerel tabby with beautiful grey eyes, arrived at AALOC when her owner decided she couldn’t care for her anymore and left Jasmine on the porch. Jasmine is a bit timid when meeting new people but likes to cuddle and play once she gets to know you a bit. Overall Jasmine has a very sweet personality. Jasmine has a condition called nystagmus which causes her eyes to move back and forth involuntarily. This may have been the result of trauma before she arrived at AALOC. It does not require any medication but regular check-ups with your vet would be recommended for Jasmine. Please submit an application to adopt Jasmine on our website at www.aaloc.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Jasmine and get to know her a bit. Story
Charlie was hit by a car and permanently injured one of his front paws. Fortunately that doesn’t stop this sweet mackerel tabby cat from getting around and living a normal cat life. Charlie can even climb to the top of cat trees and cages. He may be a little slower than a fully functioning four-legged cat but he is very resourceful and determined. Charlie has also recently been diagnosed with diabetes which is manageable just like it is in humans. But because Charlie requires insulin as a maintenance medication and regular vet visits to ensure he stays on a good health path we are looking for someone who can care for Charlie as a permanent foster. This means AALOC will pay all the medical expenses for Charlie but he will live with you as your own cat. Charlie is a bit shy at first but like most mackerel tabbies once he warms up he is a very affectionate feline. He likes being held and is pretty good at sitting on your lap or just reclining next to you on the couch. Mackerel tabbies are known to be very curious and intelligent and overall a very friendly and loyal pet. Charlie would make a great best friend. Please submit an application to permanently foster or adopt Charlie at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Charlie during visiting hours (10am to 3pm daily) and get to know him a bit. For more information on AALOC’s foster programs policies please visit our website at www.aaloc.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org, or by phone (714)893-4393. Scarlett is a darling little girl! She is a very shy at first; she takes time to warm up to strangers but then loves all the attention you can provide. Because she is so timid we recommend a quiet adult home as the best fit for Scarlett. Friendly and playful, Scarlett enjoys the other cats in the room in which she lives and would make someone a wonderful companion. Please submit an application to adopt Scarlett on our website at www.aaloc.org. Story
For many years AALOC has been blessed with an amazing relationship with one of the best Mexican restaurants and event venues in Orange County: The Hacienda in Santa Ana. When one of their employees passed away, we were able to assist by taking into our care the person’s long-loved kitty named Sugar. There couldn’t be a better name for this little cat. She is as sweet as they come. She likes attention, loves to play and is curious about everything. You can tell Sugar had an owner from an early age – she is quick to make friends with humans. Sugar was recently diagnosed with FeLV, feline leukemia. Although she is showing no symptoms and has no active infection, and may never will, she can never be around her other cat friends again due to the virus being transmitted. Thankfully FeLV is a cat only virus, and humans, dogs, other animals are safe around Sugar. We’d love a foster home that can take this unbelievably wonderful cat into their home! Please submit an application to adopt Sugar on our website at www.aaloc.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Sugar and get to know her a bit.
