Story
Hi! My name is Dixie. I am a very loving little girl who needs a home! I am with a great foster family and I have lots of friends and toys to play with. I would love to go to a new home with other kitties to hang out with. I always use the litter box and never have any accidents. I don't pick on the furniture or play too rough. I was shy at first and would run and hide but now I love to cuddle up to my foster mom. Please consider me as your next family member!

Story
Astroid was adopted from a cat rescue shelter in Peachtree City, GA in 2023. She is friendly but also skiddish. Once she warms up to you she is as loving and cuddly as they come. In fact once she has grown fond of you she may not want to leave your side, following you to the bathroom and resting right along side you on the couch or bed. She is not a picky eater by any means and usually eats all of her food in one sitting, particularly wet food. She has also lived with other cats and a dog so doesn't have any issues with other animals, although it may take her some time. When I introduced another cat to my home they were friendly and grooming each other within a week. She is a little over 5 years old (appr bday is 01/09/21). She is up to date on her shots and has no health issues. I am having to rehome her as I am moving to Asia and my employer-provided housing doesn't allow pets. I am hoping she finds a loving home.

Story
Toast is one of many cats I TNR-ed last summer (2025), but he started showing up on my porch for free meals these last six months. He slowly opened up and proved to be really sweet and affectionate with people, but a menace and food thief to the other strays. He would attempt subtlety and rub up against the other cats and gently push them away from all food piles, and would get swatted at in return.I recently (June 15th) took him in to foster in the hopes of finding his furever home. His personality has bloomed in solitude and he actually prefers pets and cuddles over food.Unfortunately he is FIV+ but that won’t keep him from having a long and happy life.If you’re willing to keep a one pet household, I highly recommend this certified lap cat and face scritching drooler.

Story
Hiya, I'm Simon! I'm an 8 year old orange and white tabby guy, and after living a hard life on the streets, I'm ready for the soft life inside with cozy spaces and lots of snuggling and playtime with my furever family. I have a good purr, and I like to show off my strength with love bites. I'm still learning how to be an indoor kitty, so sometimes I get a little overstimulated with attention, and then I need to play with some toys so I can get some of that energy out. I am friendly, but since I'm a bit older, sometimes my ornery side might come out. If you're looking for a slightly scruffy old man cat, I'm the right cat for you!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.    March 7, 2026, 11:11 pm

Story
Well, I guess I should say hi. I'm Oscar, and I'm a 3 month old orange tabby kitten with some white on my belly, and lighter colored eyes than my brother Elmo. Am I a grouch because I was named after one, or was I named after a grouch because I was grouchy? Neither! I'm just a little shy, not grouchy at all! I like to be pet, and you can hold me, too. I like playing with fuzzy balls and crinkly balls, and with springs. So come take a chance on me!    The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, a 1-year rabies shot, an fvrcp shot (feline distemper/upper respiratory vaccine), test for feline aids and leukemia, deworming, and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Phone: 770-214-3590.
