Story
We adopted Wanda through the Arizona Humane Society in 2017 when she was an 8-week-old kitten. We don’t know anything about her backstory. She has always been playful and sassy. She loves attention on her terms and is very sweet and social. She is scared of vacuums and other loud, mechanical noises. Wanda would like go to the same home as her older sister, Smoochie (see pictures) - they enjoy each other’s company and were initially adopted together. Her perfect home would have no dogs and older or no children with plenty of space.

Story
We adopted Smoochie from the Arizona Humane Society in 2017 when she was 3-years-old. She was rescued from an owner hoarding animals and was very skittish – she lived inside our couch for the first month and only came out at night. She has never been aggressive, though she may hiss when scared. She has become such a brave girl (though still a bit nervous) and is so sweet and loving - the sweetest and goofiest little lady. She loves tummy rubs! Her sister Wanda (see pictures) would like to stay with her. They were adopted at the same time and get along well. She would do well in a small family with more space, older or no children, and no dogs.

Story
I was found as a kitten in a backyard in Arizona. I had ringworm but was otherwise healthy. I made the trip out to Philly and have grown to be a big boy. I am very dog-like - I love to lay on laps, get scratches under the chin, and lay with you while sleeping. I am curious but cautious of strangers and may give warning swipes or bites when scared. Please give me a happy home where I am the only cat (no dogs) and there are no children. I would THRIVE!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
She is a polydactyl and that’s why her name is PollyPocket. She is 10 months old and very strong. Not much of a lap cat but loves attention with people, dogs, and cats. Loves to play. She does have early stage kidney disease although is very healthy otherwise. She is not on medication just wet and dry food which will be supplied when adopted. 1 case of wet and one bag of dry. My 18 Y/O cat does not like any other cat. Living situation has changed and PollyPocket needs to go to a loving home with other cats or dogs for her to play with.

Story
Meet Hocus. Hocus is looking for a second chance at the forever home she has always deserved. Through no fault of her own, she has found herself back with us after her previous adopter moved and didn't take her along. While we know returning a pet is never an easy decision, our hearts break most for Hocus, who had to leave behind the home she thought would be hers forever. Despite everything she's been through, Hocus hasn't let it dim her sweet spirit. She is an affectionate, gentle girl with so much love left to give. She enjoys attention, loves being around her people, and still has plenty of life ahead of her. Hocus does best with female cats than male cats, and we know that finding the right match will help her truly thrive. Hocus isn't looking for perfection, just someone willing to love her for the wonderful cat she is. She's already experienced the disappointment of losing a home once, and we'd love nothing more than for her next family to be the one that gives her the happy ending she's been waiting for. We know that special person is out there, and when they meet Hocus, we think they'll understand just how easy she is to love. Hocus is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, dewormed, and microchipped. Visit outofthewoodsrescue.org and navigate to adoption applications to submit your's today!

Story
Meet Pringle 🧡 Pringle is a handsome diabetic cat looking for a patient, experienced home. He's a big eater, loves attention on his terms, and has a big personality. He receives insulin twice a day and has been under regular veterinary care. He would do best in a calm home where he can be the only pet and have the space and routine he needs to thrive.
