Story

Jiujiu is a handsome 7-year-old boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is playful, affectionate, and loves being around his people. Whenever you come home, he’ll stay close by like your little shadow. One of the sweetest things about Jiujiu is how thoughtful he is. If there are two people at home, he never wants to leave anyone out — he’ll often find the perfect spot right between you and settle down there. ❤️ He’s also a little foodie! If you’re making seafood, expect him nearby hoping for a tiny cat-safe bite. Despite being a big boy, Jiujiu is nervous around other cats. He would be happiest as the only cat, though with patience and a slow introduction, he may adjust to another pet. Jiujiu has been deeply loved, and we hope to find him a responsible, loving forever home where he’ll be cherished as part of the family. He has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion. 🐾

Story

¡Hola, Barcelona!🐾If Paris is the girl who likes to take her time and ease into the party, Barcelona is the one who has already arrived, made three new friends, investigated the snack table, and somehow become the center of attention. This brown-and-white tabby kitten has absolutely no interest in sitting on the sidelines. She's curious, playful, and more than happy to throw herself headfirst into whatever adventure is happening around her!Barcelona approaches life with the confidence of someone who has never once considered the possibility that she might not be the main character. Zoomies? Absolutely. Exploring every nook and cranny? Obviously. Getting involved in whatever her siblings are doing? Don't even ask. She's here for a good time, and she's not about to let a little thing like personal space or a reasonable amount of kitten energy stand in her way. Now, we would be remiss if we didn't mention one of Barcelona's more... mysterious habits. Every so often, she'll slam on the brakes mid-zoom, stare directly up at the sky, and scream into The Void. We have no explanation for this phenomenon. Is she communicating with another realm? Is the universe simply not moving fast enough for her? Your guess is as good as ours. Whatever the reason, it's certainly part of her charm. 😂When she's finally done conquering the unknown universe, Barcelona is happy to settle down for some purrs and cozy time. She came to us with her mom and several littermates, so she'd be a wonderful candidate for a multi-cat household. And if you're thinking of adopting a pair, one of her siblings might make the perfect partner in crime! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Story

Meet Hijinks, a sweet little grey tabby who may not be quite as committed to causing chaos as her brother Hex, but she's certainly not opposed to joining in once she knows the coast is clear.Hijinks is the more reserved and thoughtful of the pair. She likes to take a moment to assess the situation before diving in, and fortunately, she has a very enthusiastic scout in her litter mate Hex. If Hex says the coast is clear, the humans are safe, the hand reaching out is definitely there for pets, and it's time to run around like a tiny maniac, Hijinks is usually right behind him. She takes a lot of confidence from her brother and seems to think, "Well, if he's doing it, I suppose it must be okay."Once Hijinks settles in and starts feeling comfortable, her playful side comes out. She loves to run, pounce, explore, and enjoy all the usual kitten shenanigans-just in a somewhat more subdued and dignified fashion than her brother. She's sweet, curious, and affectionate, and she's the kind of kitten who blossoms beautifully once she knows she's safe.Hijinks came to us with a large group of cats and is especially comfortable with her brother Hex. They aren't necessarily a bonded pair, but Hex's confidence clearly helps Hijinks feel brave, and the two make a wonderful little team. A home with another friendly, playful cat-especially Hex-would be a great fit for this sweet girl.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Story

Meet Cilantro: A Quiet Cat Worth Getting To Know. Some kittens burst into a room like they own the place. Cilantro...is still deciding if he'd even like to enter the room. This handsome little guy didn't get the early socialization every kitten deserves, so the world is still a pretty big, pretty scary place. New people? Suspicious. Sudden movements? Absolutely not. Being the center of attention? Hard pass. But here's the thing about kittens like Cilantro: they're works in progress, not lost causes.Every tiny victory means something. The first curious glance. The first treat accepted from your hand. The first time he realizes that maybe... just maybe... humans aren't so bad after all. Those moments can't be rushed, but they're incredibly rewarding.Cilantro is looking for someone with patience instead of expectations. Someone who understands that trust isn't given-it's earned. He may never be the kitten who launches himself into your lap on day one, but with time, consistency, and plenty of love, he has every opportunity to grow into the cat he was always meant to be.The most rewarding stories aren't always the easiest ones. Sometimes they're the ones that begin with a scared little kitten who just needs someone willing to believe in him.If you've got a quiet home, a gentle heart, and the patience to let a shy little soul blossom at his own pace, Cilantro just might be your next great success story. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Story

Meet Hocus-Pocus: Conjuring zoomies from The Void.A lot of families have that one child who hears, "Please don't do that," and immediately responds with doing it anyway, with reckless abandon.Meet Hocus-Pocus.This tiny black menace believes the world exists solely for her entertainment, and she's determined to experience all of it. Climbing? Obviously. Wrestling? Absolutely. Sprinting across the room at Mach 7 because she heard a mysterious noise? Several times an hour. She has the attention span of a caffeinated squirrel and the confidence of someone who has never once faced the consequences of her own actions.Hocus-Pocus doesn't walk into a room-she launches into it. Every toy is a worthy opponent. Every cardboard box is a fortress to conquer. Every unsuspecting foot is an opportunity for a sneak attack worthy of a nature documentary.Eventually, the battery runs out. She'll flop over dramatically, completely spent, looking like she has never caused a single problem in her entire life. Don't be fooled. The moment she recharges, the tiny tornado returns. If your ideal kitten is calm, reserved, and dignified... Hocus-Pocus respectfully declines your application. But if you're looking for the kind of kitten who turns ordinary Tuesdays into an action movie filled with zoomies, acrobatics, and nonstop laughs, congratulations-you've found your little spellcaster. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Meet Gus: The Kitten Who Refused to Read the Prognosis.Gus would like to formally apologize for the brief period when we thought he might never walk normal again. It turns out he was simply being extremely dramatic. When Gus first arrived, his back legs weren't working properly. For a day or two, we weren't sure what the future held. Maybe he'd be paraplegic. Maybe he'd need lifelong accommodations. Maybe he'd spend his days rolling around in a tiny wheelchair looking impossibly adorable.Gus, apparently, had other plans. With some rest, some appropriate pharmaceuticals, and a little time, Gus made a complete recovery. His back legs came roaring back online and now he walks, runs, pounces, leaps, wrestles, and generally conducts himself like a perfectly normal kitten who has absolutely no intention of slowing down for anyone. And when he's not busy proving his legs work? Gus is an absolute sweetheart. He is a professional purrer. He specializes in enthusiastic head bonks, particularly when he believes those head bonks will result in someone scratching his chin and cheeks exactly the way he likes. Toss him a toy and he's ready to wrestle it like it owes him money.Gus is playful, affectionate, resilient, and just an all-around fantastic kitten. He went from "we have some serious concerns" to "please stop trying to launch yourself into space" in record time.Gus has officially recovered from his medical mystery. Unfortunately, there is currently no known cure for being ridiculously adorable. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org.
