Story
I adopted her while I was living abroad. Shes three years old and a lot of fun to be with. She loves to cuddle and play. Shes very sweet and will always want attention. At the time when I first got her I had a lot more space and time for her, but now Im working and going to school. Ideally would like for her to go somewhere where shed have more room to run around and also have another cat for her to play with. She used to live with two other cats and they would play all the time. I think she misses that.

Story
Kalaman (Kah-la-mahn) is a great kitty!! We rescued him 2 years ago at 7 mo's old. He is silly, playful, sweet. He loves drinking from the faucet, chasing a laser, laying with arms outstretched or dangling. He snores & sits & sleeps in hilarious ways! Ask for photos. A pheromone collar has helped with his curiosity. He will "help" with any project you have. He is a sweet boy, my daughter's favorite cat! It just doesn't seem fair to rehome the other cat. They used to be best friends, sleeping & bathing each other. We moved homes & he started attacking the other cat out of the blue. We've been working with our vet but nothing has helped. He may get along with another cat as he has in the past, but I'm not sure. He is an indoor only cat with access to an outdoor cattery. We have a big dog he hated at first but now loves. He comes when called and loves his people. Our only warning is he loves string & will eat it. He's a sweet, fun, playful cat in need of a loving home soon! ❤️

Story
Meet Bootsie – the grateful lap cat with a huge heart! After years surviving outdoors, this sweet boy finally knows what it feels like to be safe and loved — and he’s so thankful. Bootsie just wants to be held, and purr on your lap all day long. He’s incredibly affectionate, and ready for his forever home where he’ll be safe indoors, soaking up sunshine and love. Bootsie will be shy at first — he tends to warm up more quickly to women — but in a calm and quiet home, with some patience and time, he will open his heart fully. He will be the perfect companion for an experienced cat adopter. He’d do beautifully as an only cat or he might possibly enjoy sharing a home with another friendly and mellow feline. Bootsie must be a strictly indoor cat in his forever home. After all of the years of being outside, he’s earned a life of safety and comfort. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy with a grateful soul, Bootsie’s your guy! 🐾

Story
Meet sweet ASTORIA, a long-haired solid black cat with a bit of a wonky right eye that makes it look like she’s squinting at you.  It just makes her stand out in her uniqueness.  Astoria is the perfect cat for someone looking for an easy-going companion, in a quiet home.  She hit a bit of a rough patch, and was surrendered to the rescue after her owner could no longer care for her and is need of a calm, loving home to call her own again.  She is independent and low maintenance.  She likes looking out the window and perching someplace high for a nap.  She also enjoys bumping up against people’s legs to get cuddles and pets.  She starts out timid but warms up fairly quickly.  She has a special eye that does get crusty occasionally and will need to be wiped, but she doesn’t let that slow her down.  Astoria is an exceptionally rewarding cat to get to know and love, and would be a wonderful addition to the right home! Astoria has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Astoria in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 1905-C0131R ASTORIA DOB 4/23/2019 (est) BEST AS AN ONLY CAT AFRAID OF DOGS QUIET HOME, WITH NO YOUNG KIDS ** HOME VISIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO APPROVAL **February 11, 2025, 6:08 pm

Story
SASHA is a fluffy, solid black female adult kitty with eyes that are sometimes golden or sometimes green, depending upon her mood. She is a special girl, very enchanting with a personality that is made up of both sugar and spice. She is known for both her independence and her charm. She will demand your attention, but you must know that she would be best suited in a home as an only cat, no small children, and with someone who is very familiar with cats and who knows how to read their behaviors. The Sugar/Charming Sasha: She can be a VERY affectionate cat that loves to lay in your lap while being petted. She will follow you around while rubbing against your legs asking you to pet her. She loves to climb up to higher spaces while watching you. Once you have earned her trust, she will give you head bumps and rubs as well as purring. She loves to play and chase toys that you toss to her. The Spicy/Sassy Sasha: During her adaptation to new places and people, she can display body language and behaviors that warrant allowing this girl her own space. Slow deliberate movements so that you don't startle her, are very helpful. If you are well-versed in cat language you will realize this and allow her the space she needs. It will take a while (probably a couple of months) for her to come out of her shell on her own terms. Sasha was a bottle baby who was about 3 months old when first adopted. She was returned after five years—we think that she did not like having small children around, nor did she like the other cat in the house. [When she was a kitten, she had no other cats to show her the ropes.] Sasha is a very special cat who will reward a patient adopter with incredible love and affection, once she has acclimated and bonded to her new human. SASHA has been spayed, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet SASHA in foster care, please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.
