Story
We are looking for a safe, loving new home for our two bonded cats, Poppy and Pepper. We adopted this sibling pair as kittens. We love these cats very much and want to find them a calm, patient home where they will be cared for together. They have lived peacefully with our medium-sized dog, but have not had exposure to other cats or pets. We believe they would do best in a relatively quiet home without young children.Pepper (male, gray tabby, 7 years old)Pepper is more skittish and independent, and needs a little more time to feel safe and trust new people. Once bonded, he is affectionate and seeks out attention on his own terms. He loves sunny windows, cat wand toys, chasing treats, and cuddling with his sister. He is playful with our dog and often seeks her out.We are happy to share more about his personality and routines with serious inquiries. Please reach out if you think you may be a good fit, and tell us a little about your home and experience with cats.

She loves laps, pets, watching the outside world through the window, and cuddling or playing with her brother. She is cautious with strangers at first, but warms up to familiar people with time. She tends to recover from stress more quickly than her brother. Poppy has a history of feline herpes conjunctivitis/keratitis and may occasionally get a watery eye when stressed. Feline herpes is fairly common in cats, is not contagious to humans, and does not require treatment.

Story
My daughter brought home a family of cats. Minerva is the last remaining cat because my daughter wanted to keep her. As always, life got in the way and we can’t keep her. Someone in the house is highly allergic and Minerva likes to be in your face and getting loves. She is a great cat and she loves hanging out with you.

Story
Very loving and cuddly cat. He will snuggle as long as you let him. Our daughter is not doing well with the cats the older she gets so we unfortunately have to rehome Jerry as well as his brother Tom. We would love for them to go to the same home if able since they've been together since birth. As long as Tom and Jerry go to the same home, included will be a double cat box enclosure as well at the cat boxes.

Story
Meet sweet ASTORIA, a long-haired solid black cat with a bit of a wonky right eye that makes it look like she’s squinting at you.  It just makes her stand out in her uniqueness.  Astoria is the perfect cat for someone looking for an easy-going companion, in a quiet home.  She hit a bit of a rough patch, and was surrendered to the rescue after her owner could no longer care for her and is need of a calm, loving home to call her own again.  She is independent and low maintenance.  She likes looking out the window and perching someplace high for a nap.  She also enjoys bumping up against people’s legs to get cuddles and pets.  She starts out timid but warms up fairly quickly.  She has a special eye that does get crusty occasionally and will need to be wiped, but she doesn’t let that slow her down.  Astoria is an exceptionally rewarding cat to get to know and love, and would be a wonderful addition to the right home! Astoria has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Astoria in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 1905-C0131R ASTORIA DOB 4/23/2019 (est) BEST AS AN ONLY CAT AFRAID OF DOGS QUIET HOME, WITH NO YOUNG KIDS ** HOME VISIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO APPROVAL **February 11, 2025, 6:08 pm
