Story
Minette is a beautiful 13 month old silver tabby who I got from a shelter as a kitten. She is very people-oriented, friendly toward everyone she meets, affectionate, and playful. However, she also requires a lot of attention, needs regular playtime (she loves to fetch like a dog, over and over), and has proven very difficult to train behaviorally. E.g., despite repeated attempt so train her not to do so, she regularly jumps up on the kitchen counters, knocks down knickknacks on window sills and tables, finds and plays with writing utensils which are not locked up, and even jumps up on wall hangings. Although she is friendly toward our other older more sedate cat, she also annoys her because of her insistence on wanting to play with and chase her. I am 75 years old and live alone, and can't really provide the amount of time, attention, and play that Minette requires. She would fit better in a household with more and younger people where these special needs could be better met.

Story
Charlie came to us as a kitten. We rescued her and within 9 months rescued another adult cat; they do not get along. Charlie, on her own, is sweet, flirty, independent, she does not like to be outside. I believe she will be happier in a one cat home; dogs are fine with her. I am having a very hard time with the thought of rehoming but I know she deserves a better life.

Story
Meet Conan 🐾 DOB 01/01/2025 Conan came to us from a cat colony in Silverton, where he was lucky enough to have a caregiver who spent time socializing the cats. Thanks to that, he’s already learning to trust people and absolutely loves attention. Right now, Conan is a little self-conscious—he had to have his sides shaved due to heavy matting. His future adopter will need to commit to regular brushing to keep his coat healthy and mat-free. Conan will need a patient home to help him fully come out of his shell. He was shy at first, but now seeks us out for pets—and he’s all about the pets. He’s still learning how to be gentle and can get overstimulated, so he would do best in an adult-only home or one with teenagers who understand cat behavior. He’s also quite the enthusiastic food advocate—expect some weaving around your legs when it’s mealtime (right meow!). Because of this, he wouldn’t be a good match for a senior household where he could be a tripping hazard. If you’re ready to give this sweet, affectionate boy the time and care he deserves, Conan could be your perfect match. Apply to meet Conan here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat Questions? Email: silvertonrescue@gmail.com Adoption Information To ensure safe and successful placements, we require: * A completed adoption application * A home visit 👉 **Apply here:** https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat **Important:** We personally deliver kitties to their new homes. Adopters must live within **one hour of Silverton, Oregon**. Adoption Fees * **$100** — Adult cats (12+ months) * **$125** — Kittens (under 12 months) All cats adopted through **Silverton Cat Rescue** are spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations. We are **not first-come, first-served**. Our goal is to match each kitty with the *purrfect* home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a volunteer-run **501(c)(3) nonprofit**, and all cats live in foster homes. Please be patient as we coordinate meet-and-greets with our fosters. Why We Encourage Kitten Pairs Kittens are social and do best with a feline friend. A buddy helps with confidence, proper play, and emotional well-being. We encourage adopting kittens in pairs, or adopting a single kitten only if you already have another young cat at home. Fun fact: **Two kittens are often easier than one!** 📧 **Questions?** Email **[silvertonrescue@gmail.com](mailto:silvertonrescue@gmail.com)**

Story
Say hello to the lovely EMORY, a short-haired gray and black tabby female kitten, beautifully patterned with swirls and stripes of black, white, and soft gray. She has a face so warm and gentle it feels instantly comforting, and her presence is just as inviting. Emory is the kind of kitten who doesn’t demand attention—she simply joins you, happily curling up in your lap to share quiet companionship. Whether you’re in the mood to play or just need a calm presence nearby, she effortlessly matches your energy. She’s playful with her siblings and would thrive in a home with another young, active cat to share that joy. Raised in a peaceful environment with her siblings since birth, she is well-adjusted, affectionate, and easygoing. Emory is a perfect lap companion, content just being near you, and she’s ready to bring that quiet kind of happiness into a loving home. Emory has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Emory in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $175 ($320/2 kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
