Story

Tutey is a 3 year old big chunky boy. His mom was a stray who happened to be pregnant with a litter of kittens. He has been our family cat for the past few years but unfortunately it has gotten very difficult to keep up with his financial needs. He is overweight and I have gone through periods where I buy cat food for weight loss from the vet but I am not in a position to be able to do that always, and when I do it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Also, because he is so big, he is unable to reach his back side, which causes problems. He can NOT clean his sanitary area and gets poop stuck when his hair is long. Also he develops knots on his back by the base of his tale. Which unfortunately he does have both at the moment. He is a character. Very sweet and cuddly/needy when he wants to be- but can also be rude and obnoxious (swatting) though he has never bit hard, only play/love bites. I need him to go to a loving home who can financially and emotionally take better care of him.

Do you like other cats? I previously lived with another cat close to my age and I got along well with them. I`d likely do well with another calm senior cat after a slow introduction process. What do you think about living with a dog? I previously lived with three dogs and got along well with them. I`d likely do well with other cat savvy dogs after a slow introduction period. How do you feel about kids? I have never been around kids. I`d be happiest in an adult only home.What was your previous home like? I lived mostly outdoors but had shelter and used a litterbox. What’s your ideal home like? A calm home who can provide me the care I need that can also provide me with safe outdoor access. Is there anything else we should know about you? I am a VERY big cat, I weigh close to 22 pounds! Due to my large weight I sometimes have a difficult time grooming myself properly so my new family should be prepared to help me with this as needed. I`m very sweet and my previous owner said that I seek out attention when I want it (usually in the evening/night) and can be a very chatty guy. Please ask about my medical release.
