Let me start by saying Bella is a very timid dog. She takes a little while to to warm up to you, but once warmed up she is sweet and loving and doesn’t want to leave your side. She loves walks but not too long because she will get tired and then gets agitated. She loves walks cats , but have to be careful around cats that are not dog friendly. she will be two years old around June, she’s about 14 lbs and is a picky eater. Once in a while I will cook her a chicken breast. She doesn’t eat kibbles so I give those kind of food kept in the fridge or cooler at the store. She particularly likes the grilled chicken. She loves to be outdoors, so is she starts whining just take her outside. She is scared of big dogs. I have her since she was about 2 weeks old old owner gave her to me.

She loves her people and is someone's constant shadow. Immie is the perfect, gentle girl. She was never reclaimed from animal control, and the reasoning behind that is unfathomable to us as she was clearly loved in the past. Immie is house trained, calm, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along with other dogs. She has shown no aggressive tendencies towards cats either or any desire to chase. Immie loves food. She came to us very overweight, so her new owner will need to understand keeping portions and treats controlled is important as she has a bit of arthritis in her legs. Because of this, she chooses not to jump on furniture and hasn't figured out the steps. However, she will dance on her back legs to be picked up. She would gladly sleep with her person and likes burrowing under blankets. Immie had a dental, and 13 teeth were removed. In the process, we learned some of the teeth were dead, and combining that with her odd use of the front right leg, it is possible she sustained some kind of injury to that side of her body in the past. Because she has some initial separation anxiety somewhere new and can be vocal, apartment life may not be suitable unless someone works from home. This does subside within a few weeks. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Onyx likes to run and play. He is very territorial and protective to people he knows l. He acts more like a watch protection dog. It takes him a while to warm up to strangers. Onyx is very fluffy, soft, and cuddly but he will not stay still long enough for cuddle at times. He is 1 years old and 3 months. Someone gave Onyx to my mother-in-law that got him from the La VA Quita Flea Market (November 2024). She became allergic along with her having other health issues.
