Story
Bruce Barrow is a 6-year-old, 11.5 pound, small mixed breed (maybe Min Pin - Chihuahua - terrier?) whose soft spirit makes him impossible not to love. He came to AAU rescue a bit underweight, and should fill out to around 14 pounds with steady meals and kindness.   Shy at first meeting, Bruce is the kind of dog who watches the world carefully before deciding it’s safe. Give him a little time, and his whole demeanor transforms. Once he trusts you, he becomes sweet, gentle, and oh-so-affectionate. Pick him up, and he just melts right into your arms like he’s been waiting his whole life for a person to hold him close.   Bruce Barrow would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands the magic of slow introductions and soft encouragement. He doesn’t need loud or busy - he just needs someone who will let him blossom at his own pace.   If you’re looking for a tender-hearted companion, who will reward your kindness with deep, loyal love,  Bruce Barrow is ready to meet you. Story
Leah Lady is a 12-year-old 14lb Terrier mix. Leah Lady is very sassy and alpha and doesn’t act her age. She’s timid and skittish when meeting new people and needs time to warm up. But what a love once she’s comfortable. She is house-trained in her foster home and does well in her crate. Her hearing is excellent, and she is a barker. In the yard, she runs around barking at birds and any neighbor or their dog that happens to appear. She also barks at Thunder!! Lady can not live in an apartment or condo.  The lady appears to have had little socialization and enjoys her new experiences, especially walking. Younger children make her nervous. She does better with teens, but it takes time.  She would do fine as an only dog. She’s very affectionate, and it’s all about her. I have two other dogs, and she wants a lot of attention. Lady loves toys but doesn’t like to share, and neither does my other foster, so unfortunately, there are no toys. She doesn’t resource guard with me but apparently will with another dog. She may be okay with another dog, depending on its disposition. She likes my other dog, and there are no issues with it, but he’s 14.  Lady is blind in her left eye from a large cataract. She sees well out of her right eye, though there is also a smaller cataract in the left eye. The pressure in the left eye will need to be monitored. She also had a mammary tumor removed with her spay. It was cancerous, but the margins were clear, and her chest X-ray was good. This will also need to be monitored. The frequency should be every 6 to 12 months, depending on the adopter's vet’s best practice.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Moose Milo… aka Moosy Moose    This 8-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix is equal parts adorable, quirky, and completely lovable. Moose Milo has the sweetest little face, a unique half-hairless look that makes him extra special, and a personality that will absolutely steal your heart. He’s the kind of dog who will gently nuzzle in for kisses and happily claim his spot right next to you in bed at night.   Moose also has a signature little strut. Due to a mild spinal deformity and possible neurological component, his back legs move a bit slower than his front—giving him the cutest, slightly “wonky” walk you’ve ever seen. But don’t let that fool you—he gets around just fine and lives a happy, playful life! He eats great, enjoys playtime, and doesn’t let anything slow him down.   He does best with other small dogs (he likes to think he’s the boss with bigger ones!), so a home with fellow littles—or as your one-and-only—would be perfect.   Moose is truly a lover at heart. He’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he’s close to his person, soaking up attention and giving out kisses.   Because of his condition, Moose can occasionally have accidents in his sleep and may not realize it. Feeding him earlier in the day and keeping a consistent routine helps manage this, and he does great with a little understanding and support.   If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with a big personality, a quirky look, and an even bigger heart, Moose Milo is your guy  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Jackson Bones  This tiny, 5–6 pound, 12–13-year-old, Chihuahua mix is a perfect little senior boy! Jackson Bones is the definition of sweet, calm, and gentle - a quiet little companion who just wants to be close to his person and soak up all the love he can get.  He is perfect with dogs of all sizes and cats. With no teeth, he’s got the cutest little gummy smile and prefers the soft life (literally!). He’s happiest being doted on, carried around, or curled up beside you for a cozy nap. He’s low-maintenance, easygoing, and brings such a peaceful presence to a home. Jackson was adopted a couple of years ago, but returned due to some house training concerns. The good news? In his foster home, he’s been doing great! As long as he’s taken out regularly, he has no accidents - he just needs a little consistency and someone willing to give him that support. If you’ve been looking for a loyal, loving senior to spoil and cherish, Jackson Bones is ready to be your little shadow and your biggest fan. Story
Nee-Doh is proof that the best things sometimes come in slightly wobbly packages. This adorable approx 1-year-old, Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, has a smile that lights up the room and a heart that's just waiting for the right person to call his own. Once he knows you're a friend, he'll happily greet you with tail wags, excited little wiggles, and all the love he can give. He has an adorable little wobbly walk that only adds to his charm and makes everyone who meets him smile While Nee-Doh adores people, he's a sensitive soul who appreciates a slower pace. New places and unfamiliar dogs can make him a little nervous at first, so he's looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in and build confidence at his own speed. Give him a little time, and you'll discover a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. If your idea of the perfect companion is a sweet little guy who will reward your patience with unwavering loyalty, endless smiles, and a heart full of love, Nee-Doh may be exactly who you've been waiting for. Sometimes the most special dogs aren't the boldest ones, they're the ones who quietly steal your heart. Could Nee-Doh be your new best friend? Meet Finnegan: 6 pounds of Chihuahua confidence, sass, and unpaid neighborhood watch energy. Don't miss his video. This tiny 2-year-old is Little Mr. Independence. He loves his toys, loves to play, and is nosy enough to qualify for a full-time position with the FBI. If something is happening, Finnegan needs to know about it. Immediately. We think Finnegan would enjoy having dog buddies to play with, because apparently world domination is more fun with friends. He’s affectionate too, but on his schedule. Once he’s done playing, investigating, and managing everyone’s business, he may bless you with snuggles. May. Finnegan is still working on house training and will definitely need a consistent schedule to help him succeed. Patience, routine, and a sense of humor are required. The good news? He’s adorable enough to get away with almost anything. If you’re looking for a funny, playful, tiny sidekick with big opinions and a bigger personality, Finnegan is ready to move in and start judging your life choices. Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Ruff Dog Rescue—Turning RUFF Starts into New Beginnings.  ##2713950##
